"Lost Forever"
By Red Fiery
As the sun goes below the horizon, the stars and the moon light the land. The time is late, most people have gone to bed except one girl. As she looks out from her hotel window, crystalline tears form on her eyes. "Why… Why did you have to do that..?" Lina asks.
Her legs hugged tightly to her chest, she lets out sobs, "I told you I would handle it… but you still came." the sorceress said silently. It's been five hours since the parting of the man she loved, fighting against a Monster. In a violent motion Lina tosses a glass cup to the corner, "Damn it!" she wept. Lina slowly lay down on the bed, tired from the day's events. Trying to sleep, but unable; the red-head turned to her side to avoid the moonlight, only to see a picture of her and… him.
With a shaky hand, Lina grabbed the picture and hugged it tightly against her body, "I love you… But now it's too late to tell you." Lina whispered.
"I wish I could turn back the clock, I wish I could see you again…" Her eyelids slowly closed and her breathing became softer; she slept…

Next morning…
The night had not been a good one, Lina constantly was invaded by nightmares of the battle and him. The funeral was today, and it was early in the morning. Getting out of bed, she slowly crept to the bathroom. After brushing her teeth and taking a bath, Lina got dressed. Before leaving, Lina picked up a belonging off the man. The red-head walked out of her room and checked Amelia and Zelgadis's rooms; they weren't there. The must be at the funeral already… Lina thought.
The sky was dark, there wasn't any sun, only gray clouds. The funeral took place outside town on a hill and under a oak tree. As Lina finally reached the site, there stood Amelia, Zelgadis and Xellos. Amelia was the first to speak up, "Miss Lina… I'm sorry." Amelia walked up and gave Lina a hug, the young princess put a flower upon the coffin.
"I know we'll all miss you, good luck where ever you are now…" Zelgadis said, before walking away to where Amelia headed.
Xellos shook his head, "Sorry Lina, he was a good man." Then disappeared. Now Lina was alone on the hill, a cold breeze went across. Lina slowly approached the coffin and put both hands on it.
"Idiot…" Lina said letting the clear tears go down her face and landing on the coffin. She stepped back and took something out of her belt, it was the Sword of Light. Being careful she put the Sword of Light on the coffin with all the other gifts.
Stepping away, "I love you Gourry, you're the only idiot I'll ever love…" Lina turned around and walked away, still crying. In the sky, a blonde man watches over the young girl. "I love you too Lina.." he said before disappearing. Lina looked back then up, hearing somebody call her name…
"Good-bye Gourry…"

Author's Notes: Depressing? Yes, I was in a angst mood… hehe. I'm sorry for the Gourry fans though. I came up with this idea after watching my brother taking out half of the garage with his car. At first I thought I would make a funny fic, but then all of a sudden I came up with this type. Don't ask, that's just me and my odd fic idea come-ups… Anyway, Read & Review people! See ya later.
