Triple Date Part#1 By: Sarah and Kelly 12/9/02

The sun was peeking through the curtain and the blinding light woke Carol. She quickly closed her eyes then rolled over with a groan and reached to hug Doug but there only seemed to be air. Carol quickly opened her eyes and winced at the sunlight again. She rolled over to get up only to come face to face with Doug who was kneeling by the bed with a smile on his face. "Good morning" he whispered softly. "God, you scared me!" "Sorry, I just wanted to surprise you." Doug leaned over and picked up something up from on the ground beside him. It was a breakfast tray. He lifted the shiny silver lid revealing a rose, cup of coffee, and another silver tray with a lid. Doug lifted the lid as he placed the tray on her lap. There was a piece of paper. It said, Carol, due to the fact that I cannot cook, how about Mc Donalds? Please? Love, Doug.XO "Please?" Doug says. "Oh, sure," Carol said as she jolted back to life, "You know I can't resist those puppy dog eyes of yours." Carol rose and pecked Doug on the lips, then she went to the bathroom to shower. She had only been showering for five minutes when suddenly she heard the shower door open and Doug's face appeared. "Can I join you?" "I'm almost done." "Well okay but hurry, I'm starving for one of those pressed hash-browns." "Alright." When Carol finished showering she dressed in a pair of fitted black pants and a flowy peasant top. She then slipped her suede jacket and her leather flats and walked to the door where Doug was waiting with a pleased look on his face. "You look beautiful." "Thanks, you do too. I mean you look handsome," Carol replied. Doug laughed and ushered her out the door. A matter of minutes later Doug pulled into a parking spot in front of the 'Golden Arches'. He stepped out and walked around the car and opened the passenger door. "Ladies first," Doug said in a low voice. "Thank you, sir,"Carol joked They took one another's hand and with the fallen leaves swirling around them walked to the doors of the restaurant. As they pushed open the doors they kissed and at the same time a young girl at the counter asked, "Mommy do they love each other like you and daddy do?" She replied, "Yes darling, yes they do."
