~ * ~ * ~ HIDDEN SHADOWS ~ * ~ * ~
I looked into his blue-gray eyes, hardly daring to believe what was happening. What would they think? How would they react?
My mind was screaming, but my heart was pounding with happiness.
Love.
People think they understand it, but they don't know its whole meaning until they actually get trapped in it. What was so hard for them to understand? Oh, they would kill me if they found out.
I'm a Gryffindor. I admit, I'm not very popular, and I'm also pretty shy, but I do have a few good friends. I needed friends. I know I would never be able to live in this castle without them. But, if they found out, if they discovered the secret, would they still think of me the same way they did before? I doubted it very much.
But, he was a Slytherin. The first word that would come up in my their minds about him was evil. It's not fair, not fair at all. The only reason they treated him differently from everyone else was because he's a Slytherin. They didn't realize it, but they're just as prejudice as they think he is.
I really wished I didn't love him. Then I wouldn't be trapped in my swarming thoughts and anxieties. But, I couldn't deny it then, and I can't deny it now.
I love him.
"Ginny." His voice carried a seductive hiss to it as he began to kiss me all over my neck and down my arm.
His eyes stared into mine so deep that it looked as if I was staring straight into a tunnel. A beautiful tunnel.
If only they knew the real him. They wouldn't think so badly of him then. They would see he was actually a wonderful and sensitive young man. They would also see the reason why I love him so.
For one moment, I came out of my thoughts and ran my finger along the silver blonde strands of his hair. At my touch, he placed his hands on my sleeveless straps and slowly lowered them until they were hanging off my arms. I looked straight at him, my eyes wide in shock. He simply smiled at me, a gentle smile. I loved it when he smiled. Not that cold, sly grin, but that smile full of only one thing-love.
I laid my head on the pillow and let him do his work. I watched as he took my whole nightgown off and throw it on the chair behind him. It landed directly on its arm.
He had perfect aim.
Now I was only left in my bra and panties. Still grinning, he unbuttoned his shirt and took off his pants. Now all he was left in was his boxers. I wrapped my arms around his strong shoulders as he wrapped his arms around my waist. We kissed for almost a minute on the lips. Then, after he gazed at me for one hard second, he began to kiss my neck and down. He paused after he got to the top of my breasts and looked at me again. Just as he was about to undo my bra straps, I gave him a look of warning. He quickly understood and put his arms back around my waist.
Oh well, I didn't want to get fully naked in front of him just yet.
We kissed in what seemed like forever. Finally, as it got really late, he sat up again, and we both put our clothes back on.
"What do you think?" he asked me as he buckled up his pants.
I nodded and smiled. He smiled back.
"Tomorrow, same time?"
"Of course," I replied.
If only they knew what he really was like. The suffering and pain hiding him deep in the shadows. It didn't matter, though. They'd find out soon enough, and when they did, they'd never be able to break us up, ever.
And that's what really counted.
