Artemis Fowl: To Kill A Monkilon
Prologue
Artemis wasn't sure what he had done. He refused it in his mind and continued to stare, openly gaze out the window. He didn't like his ways and in his head he continued to tell himself, 'you didn't do a thing. Pull yourself together. The great Artemis Fowl is not capable of such a thing. Butler noticed something the matter when Artemis had returned form the baggage claim. Angeline Fowl had decided to let him come home for Christmas. After all, she had recently spent most of her time praying for Artemis Seniors recovery. Every sentence she had stated over the phone was, "Jesus says this you know..." and "What would Jesus do?". It was begining to drive him insane. She was begining to feel that he, Artemis Fowl The Second was being spoiled and that e would go to hell for it. Artemis was flabbergasted. He knew, even though he wasn't that religious, that neither the Torah, or the Bible stated anything about going to hell over being spoiled. Yet his mother still persisted, despite Butlers interjections, that Artemis travel by commercial air. Now his baggage was stuck in baggage claim, and even if he was late for getting home to his newly annoying mother, he was still late. And my friend, Artemis Fowl The Second is never, ever, ever late! Butler was worried, what had Artemis done? He looked pailer than usual. He had been forced to stand in the sun for quite some times though. Those new security systems have been known to cause travelers to be hours late. But Artemis eventually got through the security, with a little left from Butler (ie. his fist). But Butler had been gone for a while. Something that hardly ever happened. Butler had had a little too much of the Cafe Mocha Frappachino and had to use the restroom immediately, and of course Artemis wasn't going to go with his friend/bodyguard to the restroom, so he waited out side, so Butler thought. Butler couldn't hold in his thoughts any longer. "What happened Artemis, some Jerks from inside that sleazy airport pick on you?" Butler knew that that wasn't it, but it was better than asking anything too out of the ordinary. "There are no grounds to base any suspicion on Butler. Continue Driving." He sounded shaken. Badly shaken, almost as if...he had killed someone.
