Chapter1
Lily and her brother Harry are about 11 years old. They are sitting in the smallest room in number four Privet Drive. They are wide awake because they could hear their whale of a cousin in the next room.
Lily has dark red hair and bright emerald green eyes and a spiral scar on her forehead just above the right eye. Harry has jet black hair and glasses that cover his bright emerald green eyes. Harry has a lighting bolt scar on his forehead too, but it is on the left side.
The twins have been living with their aunt and uncle as long they could remember. When Lily had asked how their parents died, she got a rude response.
"Died in a crash your filthy parents did. Now don't ask questions" Was all that Petunia Dursley had said.
Don't ask questions, was a main rule in this house on Privet Drive.
On Dudley's Dursley birthday, there were piles among piles of large presents. The only presents that Lily and Harry got were hand-me downs from Dudley and the neighbors.
"I don't want them to go to the zoo!!" Dudley screamed after he heard that Lily and Harry were to come to the zoo with him and Percy Perkins.
"Dudikins I'm sorry but we don't have anything to with them!" his mother replied.
"So! Leave them here!" just then he heard the doorbell and stopped crying because he knew it was his best friend.
Lily and Harry are sitting in the back seat of a brand new Saturn make car. This will be there first time in the London Zoo.
When lunch came around Harry and Lily gladly split Dudley's first nicker bocker glory because it didn't have enough peanuts. By the time they all got to the reptile house, Dudley and Percy had found the largest snake in the place in no time at all.
"Daddy it's not moving! Make it move!!" Dudley commanded his father.
Mr. Dursley tapped lightly on the glass of the cage. It didn't move. So Dudley banged his hand on the glass. Then he got bored with the snake and moved onto the next cage.
"Cool snake huh, Harry?" Lily asked her brother.
"You're the first person that said I wassss cool in all my life." The snake hissed
"What you say, Harry?" Lily asked her brother.
"Nothing Lils. I thought that was you."
"It wassss me!!!!" The snake hissed
"How can we understand you!!!!?" Lily exclaimed.
"Dad!! Dad!! Look what's the snake is doing!!!" He shoved Lily and Harry to the floor with his huge bulk. He was leaning on the glass so had that it shattered. He fell in the little pond in the cage.
When they got home and Percy got picked up by his father, Lily and Harry was locked up in the smallest room in the house.
At breakfast the next day Harry got up to get the mail. He found two letters made out a heavy parchment with the address written in emerald green ink.
"Checking for letter bombs, boy?" Vernon Dursley spat out.
Harry gave all the mail but the two letters addressed to him and his sister.
"Dad they stole letters!!" Dudley shouted
"Give 'em here!"
"Petunia!!!"
"Out now!!! All of you!!!!" Vernon shouted
The children fought for the keyhole. Dudley won so Harry and Lily laid down on the floor to listen in the conversation.
"Should we reply and tell them they aren't going?"
"No best to not reply." Vernon said
