The next morning, Sir Miles arrived at Pirates swoop, and hurried to find Alanna and George, who were in Arla and Iolie's room, "How are you?" He asked "stupid question, I'm sorry" Alanna rushed to him and started to cry again "What am I going to do?" She asked, he hugged her and rocked her like a baby, "It's going to be ok" he reassured her. "What have you found out?" He asked. "Nothing yet" Replied George "No note, and my spies have not seen anything yet." Alanna sat back down again and thanked a maid as she brought drinks for them all. "Does Thom know?" Asked Miles "Yes" Alanna replied, "but he can't really leave the palace until midwinter, poor thing, he's only in his first year."
