Lost Episode ~ The Day After Future Max
"January 6th – The tribulations of the past two days have blurred past me like a whirlwind of hate, regret, and unfaithfulness. I can't ever be forgiven for what I've done to Max." Liz wrote, on her diary filled with Liz Parker's deepest secrets – the aliens, the hate, the love.
Liz didn't have Max when she truly needed him – at a time when she was scared and alone. How could she explain about the Future Max and what he had said? Max would know what to do. He always knew what to do.
Later that evening, at the Crashdown Café, Max and Michael were fighting over movies once again.
"The Matrix. That's what it's all about. The best movie of all time has to be the Matrix." Michael Guerin told Max sternly, while pouring some tobasco sauce in his Mountain Dew.
"No way. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon has more meaning and realistic moves than The Matrix." Said Max, looking around the Crashdown, seeing all of the familiar posters and faces.
"Whatever. At least I can say that – oh, hey Maria." Michael said, being cut off by the all-natural blonde.
"'Oh, hey Maria'? Is that the normal response to your loving girlfriend now-a-days?" Maria questioned, as if she were expecting a marriage proposal or something.
"Yeah, I think so, seeing as you haven't talked to me for at least a week…maybe its time for a break between us." Michael said, and concentrated on the way Cameron glistened as she walked in the doorway.
"Oh…I see. Well I can tell you've already gotten your eye candy. Ugh…Czechoslovakians." Maria declared, walking away from the booth and heading to the bar.
"What does he see in her?"
"Who? Cameron? Well maybe because she's umm…dangerous? Does wild things?" Liz tried to come up with a reasonable answer for her best friend.
As Cameron walked in, with her short red hair, in a bob cut, a tight leather jacket, and a pair of army-green pants, along with some nice khaki heels. She took off her jacket to reveal a short, white, T-shirt with "Who Cares" written in bold letters.
"Double decaf latte on the double. Move it or lose it, Barbie Doll." Cameron said with a firm tone in her voice.
"Ahh…umm…what?" Maria said, looking at Cameron with disgust in her eyes.
"Umm…hey Cameron. Whatcha doin'?" Micheal asked, acting nervously.
"Nothing. But I've got to get out of here. This place blows." Cameron said.
"Well, you want to go somewhere? We could get out of here." Micheal said.
"Sure. Thanks for the latte, honey." Cameron said, as she laid the money on the bar stool and left the Crashdown with Micheal.
"I don't like her, Liz. Not at all." Maria told her confidant. "Michael and I will be apart forever."
