The next day, in a fit of spontaneity, she
announces they are to attend a muggle
carnival.
They arrive and, to his surprise, despite
the noise and crowd and uncleanliness,
he find himself enjoying it.
Because she's so excited and happy it's
Contagious and even he can't help but
smile. Once again, the desire to tell her
how he feels wells up inside.
So, gathering courage, in a hesitant voice
he starts, "Hermione, I-"
But she doesn't hear, something catches
her eye, "Severus, look!" she exclaims,
pulling him towards it.
Courage lost, for now, he lapses into
silence once more.
