Power and Jewels
If you had power,
How would you use it?
I had power,
And I abused it...
I could've done such noble things,
Instead I chose the diamond rings.
But the rarest jewel is you my son,
Sincerely, regretting what I've done!
I lost the real power of mine,
You're the one for whom I pine.
Glistening like a diamond there,
I never understood your pained stare!
I never really hated you,
But I never really loved you too.
He took the emotion from me,
From the woman who set me free.
I'm now encaged again,
Is this just the end?
My beloved son I shall fight,
Only you may bring back the light...
If you had power,
How would you use it?
I had power,
And I abused it...

Authors Note: I hope you enjoyed this poem. I wrote it originally for another person who is also a power-hungry villain. I really like this poem and think it reflects Lucius Malfoy really well. This poem reflects the regrets that Lucius feels on neglecting his duty as a father and loving Voldemort more than his own son and wife. I hope you can understand it and please review it as I love reading reviews, thank you for your time!
