Part One : Quistis - Never Before...
I have once learned a lesson, a lesson that's true
That I shouldn't fall for a guy that's like you
For you were the kind that would just break my heart
But I knew you were different right from the start
For some time later, we became friends
The bust unlike anyone could ever comprehend
I started to know what guy you really are
No one could tell when they looked from afar
Those days of our childhood went by so fast
I didn't know how our friendship did last
From all of those obstacles and storms we've been through
My heart acted so different when I thought of you
There were many wise princes, noble knights of the land
Who came from everywhere, asking for my hand
But once or twice, I've been turning them down
Refusing all the riches, the glory of the crown
One day I asked you for just a simple talk
Through the inner orchard, together we walked
I kept silent as you talked about our playful youth
My mind was bothered, to win or to lose?
We sat on a bench underneath a tree
I was surprised when you were down on one knee
Your eyes were different than from long ago
You held my hand in yours, warming it from the snow
