Gummi Bears

Jane sat at a park bench; it was a lovely day. She smiled and inhaled the fresh air, as she looked down at her package of Gummi Bears, awaiting to taste them. She opened the package and carefully selected a green one. She pushed down gently on the Gummi Bear, smiling slightly at the bendy shape.
She brought it to her mouth and bit the head off first; chewing slowly to savor the classic taste… sugary… nice. She smiled once again, fully enjoying the goodness that the Gummi Bear was.
She stuck the rest of it in her mouth and sat back blissfully; Gummi Bears truly are a good candy.
After fully chewing and swallowing the Gummi, Jane smiled and thought, "That was a very good Gummi Bear."
She was about to pull another out when she remembered her good friend Tom who was sitting with her.
"You really do enjoy those Gummi Bears, don't you, Jane?" Tom asked, gently.
"Yes, I do! Would you like one?" Jane responded.
"No thank you. That is all right."
"But they're really delicious!" Jane pleaded. She wanted to share the pleasure of the Gummi Bears.
"Well, all right. I'll have a red one." Tom realized he really did want one, because of the convincing tone his dear friend gave.
Jane smiled and handed him a red Gummi Bear. "Enjoy!" she said.
Tom ate the red Gummi, and then smiled. He was glad he asked for one. Jane really was right; these Gummi Bears are fantastic.
Tom and Jane looked at each other. Next week they were married. To this day, Gummi Bears are a very important part of their marriage…
"TOM! DID YOU PICK UP THE GUMMI BEARS?"
"WHAT? THE KIDS? NO."
"I SAID THE GUMMI BEARS!"
"YEAH! I GOT THOSE."
