" Harry, Ron hurry up we're going to be late for potions!" a distressed
Hermione said.
" All right all right lets go."
It was the first day of the school year and the trio was headed to potions.
They were met by a " Potter, Granger, Weasley! 5 points from gryffindor you're late!" when they entered the cold potions classroom.
Hermione looked down at her watch and grumbled " Yeah, .345 seconds."
" What was that Miss Granger?" Snape hissed evilly glaring at her.
" Nothing, sir" Hermione muttered sitting in her seat.
" Good. Now today we will be attempting to make an extremely complex potion. I hardly expect any of you idiots to get this right. I would not be teaching you this if it had not been required." Professor Snape said glaring at them.
' yeah right probably just wants to laugh at our failure' Harry thought.
" Potter you will be paired with Longbottom." Harry inwardly groaned as Neville grinned at him.
"Weasley you will be paired with Granger. " Snape continued until every one was paired up.
" ok Neville, we need to boil the water for two minutes then add the dried newt tails." Harry said quickly reading the directions and setting the water on to boil.
" Harry, I did all that now what?" Neville asked
" um..now you add the rose petals but wait one minute before you put each one in." Harry answered him.
" ok"
" Now we add the pheonix tear" Harry said glancing up at him " What, Neville, no! I said pheonix tear not dragon blood!"
" I know I already added that" He explained.
" But you weren't supposed to mix that with the rose petals yet...oh well I guess they'll be mixed any way let's just add the worm wood ."
The second they had done that the now deep purple potion had started to bubble and foam then exploded. It hit Harry right in the face. Everyone started to gather around Neville and Harry's couldron. Then Harry started to shake with a painful gasp he fell on the floor and disapeared.
By this time Professor Snape had reached them and demanded to know what was going on.
" W-well, sir I accedently added an ingrediant at the wrong time and when Harry tried to fix it it exploded hit him and h-he dispeared." Neville explained hesitantly.
Suddenly Hermione gasped and said "Look!" and moved the robes on the floor and lifted up the most adorable baby any one had ever seen. He had large emerald green eyes that looked at them curiosly, a tuft of wild black hair, and delicate ivory skin.
