**What happened when Seto Kaiba was sent into the card and his soul was placed in a different plane of existence**
What am I doing here? I'm not actually here am I? No, I'm just a soul now, with not body. I'm nothing but a spirit. I'm surprised I can still think. So this is the Shadow Realm. Quiet. Oh Mokuba, I must save you. You will not suffer anymore because of me. I promise I will take better care of you. The last time I lost anyone I also promised her kindness. I remember it so clearly now, like all my memories are floating around me.
I was still at the orphanage with Mokuba, around 5 year ago. I was ten then. She would come every Tuesday and Thursday after school to help the manager, an old friend of her family. She was only nine then. Lily was her name, and she looked just as her name described, with black hair and dark eyes. Normally she played with some of the older kids. When she wasn't there the others would pick on Mokuba, I didn't know her well then, just that she played with them, so I probably wouldn't like her. One day, a Monday, she came over. No one expected her to come. Outside the other boys were teasing Mokuba again, something they never did when she was around. She chased them away and leaned over to help my brother up. I, being to stupid over-protective older brother, thought she was hurting him and grabbed her and pushed her against one of the maple trees. I told her never to mess with my brother again and threatened her. She ran off crying. Later I learned from Mokuba she was helping him. For three weeks she never came. Everyone started to worry what was wrong. Her father showed up each time to tell the manager that she didn't want to come. Each time he didn't know why. But I did. I hurt her. So one Thursday, I went up to her father and handed him a letter I wrote and a small box. In the letter I apologized about my behavior and asked for her forgiveness, in the box I put a small picture of her with the entire orphanage, to reminder her of the fun she had.
The next Tuesday she came in the door and rushed up to me and gave me a hug. She whispered in my ear that she forgave me. Everything seemed back to normal. The two of us became close friends, one of the only ones I ever had. But the other boys she played with before were jealous. As Christmas approached their jealousy become more and more, until one day they pulled me aside and dared me to kiss her. After taunting me a bit I agreed, something I wish I never did. The next time she was over, we put up some decorations together. I took some mistletoe and kissed her under it. Later she found out why I did it. I never saw her again.
I wonder what happened to her. She probably sees me on TV with all those crazy rich people and think about how I'm just like them. Well, not need to dwell on the past. I need to find a way to save my brother....
