Draco opened his door. There, standing in the pouring rain was Gwen.She looked as if she had been crying. Gwen and Draco had been friends since they were two years old. In Dracos fourth year he started to have feelings for Gwen.After she said yes when he asked her to the Yule Ball they hadn't been seen five feet away from each other. She came in and he shut the door. Gwen never seemed to get cold or hot despite the weather she was in. Draco thought she was warm blooded since her father was a vampire but he never brought it up. "Who's that, Draco? Asked Lucius coming into the room. "Oh"he said when he saw Gwen sounding very disappointed and snotty. "Shut up, Lucius"said Gwen her eyes flashing red. Usually Lucius Malfoy wouldn't have taken that. Draco's girlfriend or not she would have been thrown out but he couldn't do anything but walk away for she was the niece of Voldemort.

Gwen sat down and Draco came to her side. He put his arm around her and looked into her teary purple eyes. "What's wrong, Gwen?"He asked worried. "My parents. Their fighting again can't stand it! I hate them!"Without realizing it Gwen eyes went red and a vase on the Malfoys fireplace flew off on to the floor and smashed.

She leaned against Draco and a tear ran down her cheek. "Iv got to get away! I don't know how Jack can stand it!"Draco remembered Gwen's older brother Jack.He was a year older than her with wolf eyes and a lot of dark blonde curls. Gwen turned back to Draco. "Listen, I'm gonna go away for a while. I'm going to my Uncle's house,"of course she ment the Riddle House where her Uncle Tom (Voldemort) was staying still,"I'll be there for at least a week. See you when we go shopping"she kissed him on the cheek and he hugged her goodbye. She ment when they went shopping for their schoolbooks and things. It was two and a half weeks before school started. They were expecting their list of supplies any day now.

He waved bye to Gwen as she disappeared with a swish of her wand.
