What Friends Are For
Author's Notes: Once upon a time, I wrote "Common Arguments of Shuuichi and Suguru." Surprisingly, people left wonderful reviews. One reviewer named Kurusu even asked for a sequel with Tohma in it! It took me a long time to write this because I had just started writing rhymes and such at the time, but now I have a little more experience and confidence, so I decided to give it a shot. This one, I think, is to the basic rhythm of "'Twas The Night Before Christmas." No, it has nothing to do with Christmas; it's just an easy rhythm. (Some of these lines don't make much sense, but it's hard for me to rhyme something and have it actually make perfect sense.)
Tohma sat in his office alone,
Perched upon his modern-day thrown.
He sifted through the numerous files,
Attempting to sort them into neat piles.
He desperately looked up at the clock
When all of a sudden, he heard a loud knock.
The door opened slowly, and standing there
Was Ryuichi, with Kumagorou buried into his hair.
Tohma greeted his friend with his usual smile;
He hadn't seen Ryuchi for quite a while.
"Tohma!" the singer exclaimed with glee,
"Kuma was wondering where you might be!"
Tohma replied, "I've been quite busy.
I've had so much work that I feel somewhat dizzy."
Ryuichi sat on the floor and held up his bunny.
"No wonder you make so much money!"
Tohma patted Kumagorou's head.
"Well, at least you can choose when you go to bed."
Ryuichi stood up again, looking quite sad.
"You need to sleep more. You won't feel as bad."
Tohma frowned. "I know, but I have so much to do.
And once I finish this, there'll be something new."
Ryuichi grabbed some papers off his desk.
"I'll try to do these. I'll do my best!"
With that said, the singer ran out of the room.
Tohma grinned, abandoning his former gloom.
Tohma glanced at the papers on his desk.
Perhaps, with help, he could get out of this mess.
