A/N: New project, Hee! I'm starting on a series of stories that I've
written beginnings to (but never really worked on) and posting them to see
if I hit a good note with readers! So basically, If you see one of my
stories that you like, leave a review and I'll definitely write more for
it. But hey: No reviews, no story!
The girl awoke with a start, feeling the fluttering wings on her bare arm. As she blinked the last remnants of sleep from her eyes, she saw that the wings belonged to a small pink creature, as large as a child's and looking much like a human. 'Must have hit my head,' she thought, pushing to her elbows, 'fairies don't exist.'
The girl's name was Lazuli. She didn't know how she got to the strange place, only what had happened back in Takkar. As her vision focused, Lazuli noticed at least a dozen more fairies around the large room. Looking around, she saw it was more than just a room, rather like a courtyard. With no ceiling, the Blue Star could be seen clearly overhead, it's reflection shining in a small stream. The stream ran through the courtyard, with a small stone bridge spanning it, connecting the packed dirt paths on either side.
Lazuli rose to her feet and moved towards the stream, feeling the grass give way beneath her boots. When she finished drinking from the stream, she stared at her reflection on the calm surface. There was a wide cut above her right eyebrow which was already healing over. Her once braided hair fell in brown locks to her waist. Her clothing was in bad shape as well, shirt torn along a sleeve, pants stained with what looked to be blood, and cloak singe at the hem.
Ripples rolled through Lazuli's reflection as a fairy skimmed the water's surface. As their eyes met, the fairy let out a cry, surprisingly loud for her size, "Master Ghaleon! She's awake!" Startled by the outburst, Lazuli stumbled backwards into a large object. She let out a gasp at the shock and craned her head back to see what it was. It was no object, but a tall white haired beastman.
A/N: And another note from me! OK, so hand written this was a lot longer(2 pages), but hey, if there's just one person out there who liked it, I'll write more just for you! ALRIGHT! You don't have to complain, I'm shutting up now!
