Two dogs and a master. By Niana
Disclaimer: I own nothing..there are you happy?
Hey. This story popped into my head when I watched my dad fileting fish for breakfast. I
wondered why he did it so well for us. Then I was reminded of the scene in LotR with gollum
and the rabbits, so I wrote what might have been going through Sam's head.
If the actions in this fic aren't accurate to what happens in the book, I apologise, but call it artistic
licence.

When gollum brought us those little limp rabbits grinning like a dog out to please his master...I
suppose he is a dog, but anyways, I saw opportunity. I saw something I could give to Mr. Frodo
to make him strong and happy again.
I hate seeing him so tired and angry. My words of faith and encouragement don't reach his
delicate ears anymore. I think he thinks me a nuisance in all things. He has become easily
irritated, like Rosy when she has her monthlies. Maybe I can please him if I get these hares just
right.
So I slave over our fire and I stew these rabbits to perfection (though not according to gollum)
and I watch him. I see his irritation at my argument with that most foul of creatures so I stop and
try to keep my mouth shut to please him. It's hard..I hate that thing. He came and made My Frodo
irritable and upset.
I must make Frodo see how good and loyal I am by making this stew perfect for him. I am
watching his face so intently as he licks his lips that when I shift to see him better, I put my feet
too close to the fire and burn them. It hurts..but not too much. I watch his face grow into a smile
as he sniffs the air delicately. He's pleased!
I schooch towards him on my hands and knees so as not to hurt my feet. I hold the pot in one
hand and keep two spoons in my pocket. I reach him and we share the food. It's good to see my
master smile for me again. Master is good to me. Master gifts me with smiles and praise.
Master.

So if you're all done throwing various vegetables at me, would you review and tell me what you
think? Thanks. ^_^
