Pouring from the Pitcher

He poured water from the pitcher

On that night to eat

He poured the water into a bowl

And onto His disciples' feet

He poured the water of service

And kneeled before these common men

He poured the water from the pitcher

And began to serve once again

Jesus gave us words to read and hear

But often He also left an example too

Which was what He did that day

When He poured water from the pitcher

And made service no longer for just the servants

But also for the rich and famous
