This is a story based off of Chapter 7 of "Embers" by Midnight. Thanks
to Midnight for giving me permission to write a really stupid side story.
The setting? Well, you know how they lost both Alex AND Kraden? Well,
what if they were lost...together?
A Stupid Side Story of Sorts
"Oh, look at this, Alex. This Elixir is simply amazing! It can heal
almost ANYTHING! It cures poison, it relieves you of paralysis, it-"
Alex sighed and continued forging ahead through the plants growing
thickly on the island. Ever since he had been separated from Felix in a
storm, he had been stuck with Kraden. And Kraden talked. And talked.
And when he was sick of talking, he talked some more, just for good
measure.
"Ah, look at this flower, Alex! It's beautiful! I wonder what kind of
flower it is, I've never seen one like this before, but it appears that
it would be from the same family as the iris, wouldn't you agree?"
*This guy know stuff about knowing stuff,* Alex thought to himself. *And
he NEVER shuts up about it!*
"Doesn't this jungle remind you of a maze? You know, there's an ancient
legend out a labyrinth with a fearsome Minotaur at the end. The only way
to find your way through the labyrinth was to have a ball of string and
tie it to something at the beginning so you can always find your way
out..."
"Please let me find Felix soon...please let me find Felix soon..." Alex
muttered to himself, before turning to Kraden and smiling painfully.
"I'm trying to concentrate. Do you think you could be a bit quieter?"
Kraden looked rather sheepish. "Oh, sorry, Alex. I will try to be
quieter."
"Thank you."
And they continued on.
It wasn't long at all before Kraden was talking again.
"You know, I still can't figure out how you warp. You must have
incredibly strong Psynergy to do something like that. I didn't know that
Mercury Adepts were capable of something like that. It must be a result
of being a strong Adept, and being born and raised right at the base of
the Mercury Lighthouse, that would give you special abilities that other
Mercury Adepts wouldn't possess. Yes, that must be the case," Kraden
went praddling on.
Alex was very close to breaking down and crying. "Please, let it end.
Let it end..."
"Of course, Saturos and Menardi must have lived somewhere near the
Lighthouse to have abilities like there's, wouldn't you say? Alex?
Alex, are you listening to me?"
The End
******
There you go. A very stupid fan fic for everyone to read.

I do, too. Um...review, if you want to.
