Chapter 1: Prologue
A brunette with brown colored eyes wearing a Kuoh Academy boys' school uniform which consists of a red T-shirt underneath his open dress shirt and blazer and wears blue and white sneakers was approaching Kuoh Academy. A usual kindhearted demeanor and expression plastered on his face as he moved towards the premises known as Kuoh academy, which is a co-ed school, formerly all-girls.
"Good to be here" the brunette, whose name is Issei Hyoudou said, happily as he observed all to fammiliar structure in front of him.
"No! Let us go!" two familiar boys screamed in terror while being chased by enraged girls wielding Shinais,
"You perverts!"
"Never let them get away!"
"A plague! Ew!"
Seeing the antics of his perverted friends he just sighed in an exasperated manner.
"Man, why can't they just stop? Ugh, I must save their asses again" he muttered as he ran towards the doomed boys in a fast pace.
In a blur, he was able to grab his foolish friends' collars, dragging them forcefully throughout the dirt filled field towards the back of a school building and throwing them towards the ground earning a grunt of pain.
"Man, thanks you saved us again!"
"Yes! We owe you one!" they both screamed in unison, truely relieved earning a sigh.
"I've already told both of you millions of damn times that don't peek on the Kendo Girls!" the boy retorted, irritated.
"Yea Yea Sorry" they both apologized in unison.
"Now get your asses to to your classrooms, cause Kaichou is definitely gonna kill both of you in a cold-blooded manner" he warned as he approaches the entrance of a school building not before, catching a glimpse of a crimson red-haired girl staring at him with curious eyes, causing Issei to return the gesture.
"Beautiful crimson red hair, Aquamarine eyes that'll hypnotize any person that stare at them…I have no doubt that is Rias Gremory the great onee-sama" Issei said with awe.
"I see, interested on the onee-sama aren't you? You are being aiming big, heh?" one of his friends teased, as they approach the same school building.
"No, I ain't going for Rias Gremory, she's just too beautiful to have a liking to me, even having her attention would be is just on my wet dreams" he responded.
"She literally is giving you her attention" his friend retorted.
"Maybe it's someone else" he responded, disengaging his stare from the girl, with girl doing the same.
"Ugh, you're too damn dense for your own good!" the bald boy stated, quite irritated by the belief of his friend, with the other boy nodding in agreement.
"Whatever, besides having a girlfriend will give me more responsibilities to do which is very damn bad and a disadvantage for me" he retorted as he started moving with the boy following his footsteps, passing by rooms.
The crimson haired girl then sat on a red colored sofa as he started at a chess piece, specifically pawn, feeling every inch of the chess pieces. She was inside a victorian styled room, with european styled furniture.
"Ara ara butchou~Have you taken a liking to a second-year student?" a girl with raven hair and violet eyes, donning the same uniform, known as Akeno Himejima, teased the crimsson haired girl, earning a sigh.
"No, that's not the case my Queen, it's that, the pungent aura eminating from the boy is becoming more potent day by day, and that concerns me" the red-haired girl, whose name is Rias Gremory, responded to Akeno who just put a tray of tea infront of the girl.
"I see~ it's rare for Butchou to be concerned on something~" she said with a sultry tone of voice.
"We need to observe Issei Hyoudou, starting from now on, the aura that he emmits might attract attention from the other factions, we can't let that happen, not now" Rias stated seriously as he put the pawn piece on the table.
"Hmmhmm~" the raven-haired girl hummed in agreement as she sat down the sofa, opposing the girl in front of her.
"Butchou how about we one more round? ~" asked the raven-haired girl, earning a nod from Rias.
"I see, one more round it is" the crimson haired girl responded as they set up the chess board and started setting up the pieces.

Issei Hyoudou has now sat down his designated chair inside a classroom, staring at the blackboard, seemingly deep in thought, while tapping his fingers on his desk.
"How is grandpa doing right now?" Issei thought, worried for the old man's safety.
"Is he doing fine?"
"What is he doing right now?"
"Good morning class!" a boisterous tone of voice exclaimed, shattering the thought process Issei Hyoudou was having.
"No! Teacher is here! Ugh"
"I just remembered that there is a god damn math test that I am freaking forgot to review for! Shit!"
"Ahahaha, such misfortune"
"Shut up!"
The boy just sighed, quite irritated by the fact that he was interrupted, but paid no mind as the teacher distributed the test papers.

The class has now ended, and Issei Hyoudou was now packing his backpack. The teacher was still inside the room, carrying a large pile of folders, with the brunette offering his strength to help, earning a smile from the teacher.
"You're one kind young man…I hope you grandfather recover from the illness he's having" the teacher said, also worried for the old man that Issei cared for.
"Yea, I also hope that he recovers from it" Issei said as he carried half of the load that the teacher was carrying earlier, with his backpack equipped to his back, with both going out of the room and moved towards the school faculty, where they dropped the files.
"Thank you, again, may God bless your grandfather and you yourself" the teacher said with gratitude.
"As I said, it's fine teacher, I mean what's wrong with helping people?" asked Issei.
"Hahahaha, helping people is kind, but remember to choose who to help, some people might take advantage of it," the teacher warned the boy earning a bright smile.
"Yes, teacher! I'll keep that to mind" Issei responded as he moved out of the faculty

Issei Hyoudou was now moving throughout the streets of Kuoh, passing by familiar structure, and streets he saw every day. He hummed as he observed the people passing by, mostly all of them where normal, however he spots a familiar white-haired girl observing him from the distance, eyeing his every move which confused him.
"Is that Kuoh's mascot? Nah probably just my imagination" he said, and as if in cue the girl suddenly disappeared.
"Yep, just my imagination" he sighed, as he continued moving towards the streets, eventually arriving at his destination, a flower shop.
"Aight, I am here" he exclaimed happily as he opened the sliding door, while grasping his pockets in unison as he walked towards an aisle full of beautiful looking flowers, with him staring at the aisle, contemplating on what to pick.
"All of them looks nice as hell" he thought as he rubbed his chin.
"But I did remember that Grandpa like red colored flowers with yellow as well"
"So Imma just pick" he then reached over to a red- and yellow-colored flowers, taking it from the shelf "this" then proceeding to walk towards the counter where he put it aside to take his wallet.
When he took it out, he proceeded to open it, revealing several hundred-yen worth of paper cash. He was smiling since it would suffice to buy the flower, he took earlier was well as meal for dinner.
"How much is it?" he asked curiously, seeing as how the employee was examining the flower he brought.
"About 200 yen"
"Alright! So, I was right after all" Issei cheered happily as he hands the two 100-yen worth of paper money, receiving the flower, with its lower parts covered in paper and plastic.
"Thank you!" he said gratefully, earning a smile.
"You're welcome! Make sure to come back soon!"
"Yes, I will!" he responded happily as he closed the sliding door, speeding towards a hospital with an incredible burst of speed, eager to meet his grandfather once again.
The hospital itself was massive, towering most of the buildings visible in the town that the protagonist resides in. It certainly looks impressive for others; however, the protagonist has already been inside the structure, hundreds of times of before.
When he entered, revealed a lobby, comparable to that of the royal castle with people of different ages present sitting in a waiting area, while nurses roam. Cold wind met his face as he entered hastily.
"I am finally here!" Issei exclaimed happily as he ran towards the receptionist area to register himself for extensive security purposes.
Being registered, Issei Hyoudou ran towards the elevator to press the "up" button, because his grandfather's room resides in the higher levels of the simply ginormous building that he was in.
*Ting*
The elevator finally opened, with unfamiliar, yet ordinary people moving out, revealing a fancy interior made with high quality materials. Grinning he immediately went in, pressing the "12th floor" button with others also arriving inside with them pressing their respective floors.
*Ting*
After a few seconds of waiting, the elevator finally opened at his desired floor, with him walking out in fast pace while gradually increasing it.
"1256"
"1256"
"1256"
He continuously muttered, while passing by door by door. Finding the right room, he opened it happily, revealing a room with a desk, in the middle of it resides a brownish red colored flower, symbolizing that it was already going bad, along with the vase came a white colored telephone. Beside it, bed with railing, curved in an obtuse manner with an old man with whitish colored hair layed there, with his head turned towards the brunette, quite surprised.
"Grandpa!" he exclaimed happily as he hurriedly threw his bag towards a chair nearby, and moved in superhuman speeds, embracing the old man, receiving a smile.
"Issei, how are you doing? How is school?" the old man asked the brunette, receiving a warm smile.
"Pretty good, it's just some of my friends, did something annoying again so I have to diffuse the situation so that it wouldn't worsen" he responded, as he slowly unwrapped his arms from the man while immediately moving towards the desk where the vase was located to replace the dying flower.
"I see…"
The man's smile turned into a frown, realizing one crucial detail. He turned his body to a different direction, earning the attention of the brunette who has just finished preparing the vase.
"I have something to talk about…"
"What is it grandpa?" the brunette asked curiously.
"It's about your parents"
The response that the brunette angered him, however he managed to stop himself from lashing out.
"Let's just not talk about them" the boy responded as he went to the chair lifting the bag so as he can sit and putting it in his lap.
"You have a club this afternoon, right?" the old man asked.
"No, the club is closed today, so I have free time" the brunette responded, calmed down from earlier.
"Issei, you're a strong kid so use that talent to help" the old man stated.
"I don't want to end up a loner like me…I want to receive a proper end where you're surrounded by the people you know and cherished"
"Huh? Grandpa what do you mean by that?" he asked, confused by what he heard; however, he received no response.
"Grandpa?"
"Grandpa?"
He kept asking, only to receive no response, he cautiously went to the man grasp his hand, it's cold, a sign of a person's passing, with Issei Hyoudou tearing up in grief of his grandfather's passing. Steeling himself, he went to the phone nearby and dialed a nurse.
"Grandpa…is dead"
