Sitting inside the armory filling up magazines was the famous pilot Fox Mccloud; aside him was a radio currently tuned to the Cornerian News talking of possible Venomian forces despite their defeat years ago; their home planet Venom being captured by Cornerian forces. Andross himself escaped the Planet before they can apprehend him leaving his army behind accepting defeat. Military bases were established in attempt to rebuild what was destroyed during the war which upset many of the native population considering their hatred for Cornerians and now their enemies occupying their home. Fox's ears picked up someone walking down the hall; turning around to see a familiar Blue Fox standing at the armory vault holding a folder with the words Classified in red on it.
"Morning Krystal. What's that folder?" Krystal smiled at Fox's comment before placing the folder on the table revealing its contents. "General Pepper sent this to us, possibly got a mission on standby for us." Hearing the General had a mission ready made a smile on Fox's snout since they haven't gotten many missions since the war ended rather getting assigned tasks like scouting out areas for possible Venomian forces just to come back empty handed. Upon reading the files claimed a Planet outside the Lylat System been radiating large amounts of signals that the research team can't decrypt. "So General Pepper wants us to investigate what could be sending out the signals? Sounds like another reconnaissance mission they been sending us on but a mission is better than no mission." Fox said to Krystal placing the files back into the folder before handing it back.
"General Pepper said he'll send supply ships for this mission since this Planet is quite a distance away but with Slippy's help, he installed a newer generation hyperspace jump device into the Great Fox." Krystal telling Fox as he was locking the Armory vault door before making their way to the briefing room sending out a message to all on board. "Sounds good I'll have ROB open the hanger for the supply ships."
Traversing through the thick vegetation; a Human dressed in military gear in search for any survivors but with no results. Grabbing the radio off his plate carrier. "Bravo Bravo This is Alpha 5; come in." *Radio Static* "Bravo Bravo This is Alpha 5; come in." Nothing again; the Human placing the radio away before making his way back to the shipwreck which he originated from. Aside the shipwreck was graves he dug for the fallen who didn't survive leaving him all alone. Making his way inside he gathered up all he could find into a makeshift home; taking off his gear before climbing into a sleeping bag as the sun fell below the horizon.

In the briefing room the Starfox crew listening in on the details provided by the classified folder on their mission. "Yea like we haven't been on those types on missions since the war ended." Falco giving off an attitude to Fox after the details he said sounded just like all the other previous reconnaissance missions. "Yes, Falco but come on it's better than sitting around doing nothing." Slippy said getting a nod from everyone but Falco; "Slippy's right but something telling me this mission is...different. My telepathy is hinting something, but I can't say for sure." Krystal saying placing a hand on her forehead trying to figure out what it could be.
"Mr. Mccloud. The supply ships have departed the Great Fox. We are good for takeoff." ROB the crew's robot informed Fox receiving a thumbs up. Fox signaled out to everyone it's time to strapped in for hyperspace jump. The technology is relatively new but was used during the Lylat war to quickly move troops, supplies, and battleships so it differently proved its value. Long distance travel is another story; many Planets outside the Lylat System have only been mapped with very few visited.
The reasoning is the Lylat system is located on the outer end of Milky Way Galaxy where there's large gaps between systems. With the help of hyperspace technology getting to those systems has gotten easier and faster. Only problem is since it's outside from Corneria's jurisdiction; the gaps between systems are known to be swarming with Pirates and criminal actives. Another issue worth mentioning is the lack of fast connection; signal waves can only travel so fast; experiments of using the same hyperspace jump technology but on a signal wave level currently in development. The system in which host the Planet Team Starfox must investigate has only been mapped which will make them the first ones to set foot.
"How far is this Planet cause even with hyperspace depending on the distance; it could take days for us to arrive." The old hare Peppy questioned; Fox pulling out the file before looking towards ROB's direction. "ROB what do we know about K2-516 B?" ROB paused trying to get any information before displaying a hologram of the Planet. "K2-516 b is a Corneria like sized Planet spurning in a dense forest. Currently there is little data on this Planet, but it lays 235 lightyears from Corneria."
Falco let out a disappointed grunt knowing that's at least a ten-day travel time. Explains why they were given extra supplies and fuel then usual Fox thought to himself. "ROB set a route to K2-516 B and prepare the Great Fox for hyperspace." ROB begin making his way to the control panel while everyone got up to prepare for takeoff.

The Human's eyes shot open believing he heard the sound of bushes moving. Quickly donning the helmet pressing the side button which dropped an armored visor over his face that also has built in night vision. Reaching for his rifle before peeking into a hole. Hoping to be friendlies but instead what he saw shocked him to the core. Outside were three...Apes armed with weapons and gear inching closer towards the wreckage. Not knowing what to do, not knowing if they were friendly or not, he decided it's him or them; quietly making his way out through the back to reposition.
"Where are these ships coming from? This is like the third one we found." One of the Apes commented as they inspected around the ship weapons ready. An Ape who went to the back noticed boot markings in the dirt. "Switch to thermal vision, we got a runner." They all looked around to find any heat signature and right away one saw something glowing; lifting his rifle to take aim before collapsing. They began showering the forest with laser rounds upon seeing their buddy killed until their weapons clicked.
Two suppressed shots broke the silence along with the sound of bodies hitting the dirt. Popping up from behind where the Apes' corpse laid was the Human. Scanning around making sure no one else was left he kicked one of the three over. "What kinda of shit is this?" Questioning himself seeing the aliens than realizing he just killed three of these aliens. Slinging his rifle behind him before going through their pockets. After looting all three he headed back into the ship to pack up thinking more of them will come. Stuff whatever he could into his ruck and made his way in a random direction hoping to not run into more aliens.
Three hours into his movement he decided to take time to set up a temporary campsite. Grounding his ruck leaning against it like a pillow. He'll admit despite regretting signing up for this mission the forest on this Planet was nothing like how it is on Earth. The trees above him all connecting to each other like one giant root system with the white sun slowly rising. The sound of screaming echoed through the forest; getting on his feet he made his way towards where the scream came from. In the distance he saw more Apes trying to drag what looked like to be a female Husky into a vehicle; the Husky is holding herself quite well, but the Apes are beginning to overpower her.
Using the fallen tree trunk as support for his rifle; he took aim at one Ape. Flipping the selective switch from safe to semi before engaging; first Ape goes down. As he was moving his sights to the second target, he noticed the Husky taking the chance when the Ape was distracted to retract her claws slicing into his neck. The Human upon seeing this he decided to make his way towards her believing the Husky isn't a foe he slinged his weapon behind his back to show he's not a threat. Her ears perking up hearing footsteps approaching she quickly unholstered the sidearm from the Ape pointing it at..."What the fuck is that thing?" Saying to herself. The Human stopped in his tracks with his hands up. "Who the hell are you?" Yelled the Husky.
Not understanding what she just said. He pointed at the Ape with a hole in his head then at his rifle trying to explain that it was him who saved her. When that didn't calm her down; he slowly reached for his knife asking if he can cut the ropes that bond her hands. The Husky telling herself this is a bad idea, but she dropped the weapon allowing the It to set her free from the restraints. After doing so the thing then pressed a button on its helmet revealing itself to her.
Too stunned to speak or move she just stared at its face. It looked like an Ape but not at the same time. It bent down to pick up the sidearm holding it out for her to take; accepting it back she got a hand signal to follow. Didn't sound like a good idea to follow an alien but considering it just saved her it's a good start.
The human took her to where he was beginning to build a campsite. Unzipping his ruck; laying out his equipment in search for a first aid kit since he noticed a large cut on her arm underneath the fur. Eventfully founding it he popped it open pulling out gauze padding, with canteen of water making his way to the Husky to treat her wound.
hesitant at first pulling her injured arm towards herself then noticing the bandages in his hand. Slowly extending her arm out; the Human gently grabbing her arm feeling her soft grey fur as he began pouring water to clean it out before rapping it up with the gauze. Placing the first aid kit back into his ruck before pulling out his entrenching tool to dig a foxhole. Those Apes must also be equipped with night vision or even thermal if they were able to spot him so easily in pitch blackness, so he figured staying below surface would hide them, the Human thought to himself continuing to dig the foxhole with enough space for two.
Hopping out the foxhole to toss in his gear afterwards laying out a tarp throwing vegetation onto it before sliding it over the hole leaving space to get back in. "get it." The Human called out to the Husky which she did. Pushing the tarp over completely covering them. Taking off his helmet placing it on his lap letting out a sigh of relief, before making eye contact with the Husky. An awkward silence filled the foxhole before he spoke to her. "Elijah." Saying to her while pointing at himself. Doing this few try trying to tell her that's his name. She than trying to pronounce it back until she said it right receiving a nod of approval from him. Now the human pointing at her asking for her name, "Lily."
The name rolled off his tongue as if it was his own, repeated it few times to himself. Afterwards he reached into a pocket on his ruck pulling out snacks handing some to her, hand signaling to her its food. The two enjoying their food until a static voice cracked out his radio. "HE***LP****WE'RE****UNDER****ATTACK!" Elijah jumping out the foxhole radio in hand trying to get regain the signal. Lily not understanding what's happening stays in the foxhole confused and little frighten by his behavior.
"This is Alpha 5 come in...This is Alpha 5 COME IN." But no one answered. Elijah walking in circles hoping for a reply; then the shockwave of an explosive blew through the forest. Elijah seeing where the shockwave came from, he went into the foxhole to secure his gear and weapon before hopping back out. Turning back afterwards to offer Lily help out. Lily still confused slowly grab his hands feeling how rough his skin was before being yacked out.
Elijah leading the way towards where the explosive originated from with Lily following behind. Not far into their search they found the shipwreck in a similar situation to Elijah's not too long ago. Seeing causalities from both parties; Elijah flipped his weapon off safe mode before slowly making his way into the ship. Clearing out each room before making his way to the cockpit.
Inside he found the bodies of two dead but instead of the Apes he been seeing, it was some kind of Lizard people. Spinning the seat around finding the pilot riddled with holes that seemed to be cauterized. Lily noticed on one of the dead lizard's helmets with a built-in translator. Donning the helmet; fixing the straps to her comfort, an HUD appeared. Going through the options using buttons on the helmet to the translator settings. "Translate unknown language?" Clicking yes before another message popped up."Speak unknown language or scan example."
Elijah turned around seeing Lily already has equip herself with the gear. "She ready to kill wait how does she know how to operate that helmet so well and had that gear on so quickly?" Elijah whispered to himself which the translator caught. "Now translating. 1%. Exposure to language will speed up progress." Lily in debrief how quickly the translator picked up on the alien's words. All of sudden the Pilot woke up gasping for air and within his panic the pilot saw Lily, aiming his pistol at her. Elijah took hold of the Pilot's arm sending the round inches away from Lily's head. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, KILL THAT THING!" The Pilot yelled at Elijah who's now pinning the pistol down.
"What the fuck happen? Where is everyone? Who are these people?" Elijah shouted back. The Pilot's adrenaline rush fading away, once again losing grip on his life. "No no no stay with me. Answer my question!" But the Pilot's eyes roll over before going completely limp. Lily looking over his shoulder; Elijah laid the Pilot down before closing his eyes. "3%" Lily noticed in the HUD. Few minutes later the two were packing what they could find including off the bodies including off his fellow Humans which wasn't easy to do for Elijah. Afterwards they secured their gear and made their way into the forest.

So what you guys think about this remake? Yes there's a lot of changes from the original but this story will lead to what I had planned for years ago. Writing this story brought back what I had planned for the plot. Also I'm not in the Starfox Phase like I used to be so I had to do some research on the timeline/lore of S.F so if I got anything wrong then that's my fuck up but anyways. Hope yall enjoyed; cya.
