Savannah brought a bed and Abby in a wheelchair to the same room as me and said "I'm not going to separate you two. So remember Abby you get out of bed long enough to use the bathroom or take a shower with assistance and then back in the bed." She said "Yes Savannah." As Abby got in the bed and sighed stretched and yawned saying "I'm tired. So is Hank." Savannah said "Okay let's have mom rest." Everyone gave Abby either light hugs or kisses on the forehead and once they left Savannah said "Yes you can curl up with him." Abby got out of bed and slowly walked towards me and climbed in bed and curled up next to me and fell asleep in my left arm. As she slept in my left arm I placed my right hand on her belly and said "I love you baby. Can't wait to meet you." She moaned in her sleep as she nuzzled my neck and I said "I love you Abby." She kissed my neck and winced as the baby kicked her and had a tight grip on my hospital gown and I gently rubbed her belly until she relaxed and I kissed the top of her head and she sighed in her sleep. I watch tv with the volume on low until I fall asleep with her.

I sat up gasping and felt a hand on top of mine and knew I was in Derek's embrace and I saw the tv was on and he moved some and I laid my head down and stayed still for some time closing my eyes until I heard "I know you're awake. For your heart is racing. Like it normally does this close to me." I opened my eyes and looked up saying "There's no getting passed you baby. Hope the baby didn't wake you?" He said "No I just figured you was having a nightmare. Then I remembered that this close to me your heart races. Because of how much you love me." I softly chuckled and said "I did have a nightmare of me getting shot and you was crying in fear of loosing us." When I said that he said "Are you sure you're going to be fine?" I said "Yes. I just need to go to the bathroom. I'll be back." I kissed him and went to the bathroom and came back to his arms and a nurse came in and had a cart with her and said "Okay mom you need in your bed to eat." I said "Okay." I got out of Derek's bed and got in mine as the nurse sat my bed up some as she brought the bedside table to me and set a tray in front of me and I saw once taking the lids off that it was grits, three strips of bacon, sausage patties, a bowl of grapes, strawberries and blueberries, a carton of milk, carton of orange juice and some Ensures as the nurse said "The Ensures are high in protein so you increase your protein intake for the baby's sake." I said "Thanks." Derek got the same as me and the nurse said to him "Yours is to help your body heal the muscles faster." Then the nurse left us to eat our breakfast and when I finished I yawned and he said "Bet you wish you could stretch your legs?" I said "Yes. I do but I'm on bed rest." He said "You have a wheelchair that I could push you in. I want to stretch my legs also." He hit the nurse button and said "We'd like to walk around the floor." A nurse came in and said helping him up "Remember she has to be in a wheelchair." He said "I know. I just think she'd like to move around." The nurse came over to me and said moving my tray "Come on mama let's get you up." She helped me stand up and than sit in the wheelchair and wheeled me over to him and as he took the wheelchair she got the door for us as he walked slowly out into the hallway I said "Take your time baby. Don't overdo it." He said "I won't baby just relax." He walked us around the floor a few times with a nurse by our sides. As we went back to our room I was dozing saying "I'm sleepy." He helped me in my bed and kissed my forehead as he covered me with the blanket and kissed my belly and said "You rest baby." I soon fell asleep with a sigh.
