Hot shot was excited this was his first solo training rescue. He was looking forward to it. "Okay Hot shot go into the forest scale down the cliff then scale back up and come back here." Heatwave said. "Do be careful," he said.
"Of course Heatwave I will," Hot shot said. Then headed out he was very excited and he remembered what Heatwave said and that was to be careful. Hot shot saw the cliff and started to scaling down the cliff. He was being careful as he went. "Easy does it," Hot shot said. When suddenly cliff beneath him crumbled and he lost his grip to and fell into the raging river below.
"Help!" Hot shot cried. He tried to get and transform but he couldn't the current was too strong. He tried to keep his head above the water. He slammed into several rocks and went down many rapids. "Help somebody come in," he said but the roar of the current was too loud for the com to pick up his voice.
Finally after what seemed like forever the river was now calm and Hot shot made it to the river bank exhausted. He went over to a large rock to sit down and rest. He decided to com the others and let them know what happened. "Heatwave? Boulder? Chase? Blades? Ratchet? Bumblebee? Grimlock? Perceptor? Wedge? Hoist? Medix? Whirl? Brushfire? Sludge? Snarl? Slash? Lazerbeak? Come on guys come in." Hot shot said. All he got was static. "My com link is busted. How am I suppose to contact the others?" he said.
He decided to have looked around he got up and saw he didn't know the area and wondered if he would be able to find help. He was very scared. He knew the others must be worried sick. He started walking in hopes to find help.
Heatwave was waiting for Hot shot to check in or come back he was way past due. He decided to com Hot shot. "Hot shot come in where are you?" Heatwave asked. All he got was static with some feedback. Which meant only one thing Hot shot's com link was broken. Heatwave started to worry and called everyone together. "Everyone Hot shot's com link is broke which means something must have happened," he said. "We need to go to the spot where Hot shot was doing his solo rescue training." he said.
Then someone came in. "Hello," they said.
"Quickshadow," Boulder said.
"I came to see my husband and thinking about helping out here," Quickshadow said.
"I am glad to see you Quickshadow my dear wife but we have a problem," Heatwave said.
"What sort of problem?" Quickshadow asked.
"One of our recruits has broken com link and hasn't come back from a solo rescue training we think something bad must have happened." Heatwave said.
"I will help you," Quickshadow said.
"Thank you now let's start searching," Heatwave said.
They went on the search. "Here is the cliff where Hot shot was doing his training." Heatwave said.
Whirl flew down the cliff. "Hey it looks like a part of the cliff crumbled away." Whirl said.
"Hey there is river down at the bottom of this cliff." Medix said.
Everyone took a look.
"Crikey, that is some nasty current," Brushfire said.
"Yes it is strong enough to carry a bot with it." Perceptor said. "My imaging map of this river shows there are several rapids along this river," he said.
"You don't think he fell in do you?" Slash asked.
"That is probably what happened," Ratchet said.
"We must start searching the area around the river all the way down the river in the direction of the current chances are it goes into a calmer place and Hot shot may have been able to get out of the river there and might be around there." Chase said.
The others agreed and started searching.
Meanwhile Hot shot was wandering around and still kind of sore and he noticed a sign that said welcome to crown city. Hot shot kept into the forest area and he heard something. "Hello?" Hot shot said. Then he tripped and saw two minicons and a large samurai like bot in front of him. Hot shot was scared.
"Who are you and why are you in this area?" the bot asked.
Hot shot saw he was an Autobot. "I am an Autobot too," Hot shot said. "I'm lost and I just want to go back to the academy," he said.
"Academy?" Drift asked.
"Yes I am rescue bot recruit." Hot shot said.
"You must be one of the recruits Grimlock has told me about I am Drift and these are my students Slipstream and Jetstorm," Drift said.
"I am Hot shot," Hot shot said.
"How did you get lost way out here?" Drift asked.
"I was doing my first solo rescue training I was scaling down a cliff when if crumpled underneath me and I fell into a river with a raging current and got carried down river and once it was come I got out and began to look around and found my way here. My com link broke in the river so I am unable to contact my teachers, friends or the academy" Hot shot said.
"Well we better get you to the scrapyard for repairs and to contact the academy they must be getting anxious by now." Drift said. "Follow me please." he said.
Hot shot follow Drift and they made it to the scrapyard. "Hey Drift who is the little Autobot?" Side swipe asked.
"This Hot shot is one of the rescue bot recruits he managed to get himself lost way out here," Drift said. "he needs repairs and we need to contact the academy and let him know he is safe." he said.
"I will do that," Fixit said.
"Are you okay?" Strongarm said.
"Bit worried and scared after what happened but I am glad I found help," Hot shot said.
"That's good," Side swipe said.
Fixit repaired Hot shot and got ready to contact the academy.
Meanwhile the teachers and recruits could find Hot shot. They told Optimus Prime about situation. "I will prepare a bulletin to alert other Autobots know and be on the look out for him." Optimus said.
Fixit was working on contacting the team. "I am getting ready to contact them," Fixit said. Then the machine sparked. "Huh?" he said. "it's not working," he said. He looked through the panels. "Something has been chewing on the wires," he said. Something was rustling around inside.
"I'll take a look." Hot shot said. He reached in the paneling and pulled something out. "Look what I found," he said. It was a raccoon.
"We better put him out in the woods were he belongs." Denny clay said.
"I'll take care of that," Side swipe said taking the raccoon. He took it out to the woods and let go. Then he came back. "We won't have to worry about him," he said.
"Okay now I have to make repairs." Fixit said "It won't be ready until tomorrow morning," he said.
"Until then try to relax Hot shot you will be back before you know it," Strongarm said.
It was getting late and the bots were powering down.
Hot shot began to dream. Hot shot was a sparkling and he saw two loving faces that was kind of blurry at first. "Hello Hot shot, mummy and daddy love," the female said.
"Look at you, we are so happy you are here or little wonderful bundle of joy," a bot that looked like Heatwave said.
Then Hot shot was laid in a med bay bed for sparklings. Hot shot started to cough and a doctor came up. "I will check if he's okay," the doctor said and walked off with Hot shot. Then in secret he signed off papers to put the sparkling up for adoption without the parents consent. Then a lady from an orphanage took Hot shot and took him the orphanage. The doctor went back and told the couple that Hot shot was dead.
Hot shot woke up and it was morning he didn't know what to say or think.
Fixit went back on trying to contact the academy. "Rescue bot academy come in this is Fixit." Fixit said.
Bumblebee heard the com. "Bumblebee here at the Rescue bot Academy what is going Fixit we have a problem here a recruit is missing," Bumblebee said.
"His name wouldn't happen to be Hot shot would it?" Fixit asked.
"How do you know Optimus hasn't sent out the bulletin yet." Bumblebee said.
"Because he's here in crown city, Drift found him and he is here in the scrapyard." Fixit said.
"That is wonderful news I will tell the others," Bumblebee said. Then he hung up. Bumblebee rushed to tell the others. "Guys Fixit just called he said Hot shot is with them apparently the river managed to take him to crown city." he said.
"That is such a relief." Heatwave said.
Heatwave went through the ground bridge to the scrapyard. Hot shot saw Heatwave. "Heatwave!" Hot shot said and ran up to him and hugged him.
"I am so glad you are okay," Heatwave said. "You are safe and sound," he said. "now let's take you back to the academy, thank you all for helping him," he said.
"Happy to help," Denny Clay said.
Heatwave went through the ground bridge to the academy with Hot shot and the others greeted Hot shot they were so happy to see them. Hot shot was thinking about his dream and told the others.
"That certainly is strange," Ratchet said.
"Heatwave and I had a sparkling named Hot shot but the doctor told us he died but I have good look at you, you have the same features as our sparkling," Quickshadow said. "Could you really be our little Hot shot?" she asked.
"Only one way to find out," Ratchet said. Ratchet did a CNA test to find out if Hot shot was Heatwave's and Quickshadow's child. The test shown he was 100% their child.
"Our little boy back from the dead," Quickshadow said.
"My son," Heatwave said.
"Mum, dad," Hot shot said.
The three of them hugged so happy to be reunited at last. They took things to court and the doctors in charge of the maternity ward were question and got answers. Apparently he once was in relationship with Quickshadow and he cheated on her. Quickshadow broke up with him. He still loved her and wanted to patch things up but Quickshadow wasn't interested. When he heard Quickshadow married another he worked up the revenge plot. Once Hot shot was born and Hot shot started to cough or something he would take him back away from view sign him off for adoption in the parents names and come back tell them he died because of how Quickshadow broke his spark and wanted her to suffer like he did.
He was put in prison. He changed three lives just counting Hot shot, Heatwave and Quickshadow.
But now they were together again that is all that matters.
Hot shot was tucked into bed that night by his parents for the first time ever. "Good night son," Heatwave said.
"Good night Hot shot," Quickshadow said.
"Night mum and dad," Hot shot said. They kissed his forehead and turned out the light.
Now they could be a family at last.
