My Rewriting Disclaimer!

Toaru Majutsu no Index is owned by Kazuma Kamachi

Highschool DxD is owned by Ichiei Ishibumi

Yes, I'm rewriting Kamijou Faction. Now, I know you all have been supportive of it, however, looking back, I realized that I skimmed over and rushed several things that I should've spread out over a longer time frame. I also realized that I handled a few things very poorly. Me rewriting this story has nothing to do with the haters, but rather my own dissatisfaction with how I originally handled it. I hope you understand my reasoning

The general plot is the same, though with a lot better grasp on both stories. Big Shout Out to "MrQuestionMark" and "WwEpsilonwW" their biggest stories have allowed me to get a firmer grasp over Kamijou Touma's character. Check them out if you haven't.

MrQuestionMark: A Certain Unknown Level 0

WwEpsilonwW: Misfortune No One Sees, Until Now

Check both of those stories out, they are a worthwhile read.

Now, before I go on, there is one more thing I should address. First off, RedRat8 was the first to post his choice in the poll, so officially, Angels have been nerfed by the Great War between the three Biblical factions. For any reminders, there was a poll, and the results were a tie between "Nerfed by War" and "Nerfed by Earth" for how to explain the power discrepancy between Angels in both series. So, I decided that the first person to comment on their vote would be the tie breaker and RedRat8 chose "Nerfed by War."

Now onto the final comment acknowledgements of the chapter.

Renaxan: For the first half, that is a surprise. As for the second, yeah, pretty much; Sacred Gears are direct creations of God, so I don't see why the Imagine Breaker cannot destroy them. As for the IB being a Sacred Gear, no.

Kamijou Touma 1: Thank you for your support, I appreciate it. As for your wishes, the most I will say is that Misaka will have appearances, but that's all. At most she will have a few scenes or chapters, but nothing solid yet. Just know that I have no plans to have her as a "permanent" character.

woodxvii: That will be explained eventually, just be patient.

Shwae: Thanks for the support, and sorry for the massive delay. I hope you understand my reasoning. Thanks for the support about the fight scene too, I hope you enjoy my rewrite.

craythelay: Thank you for the support and yeah, I shouldn't let others dictate how I write, but I do appreciate ideas and places to improve. Though, I will try to be more detailed about Othinus and Index's conversation with Touma next time, the only reason I kept it brief was that I felt it would clutter up the chapter if I gave an abridged version of how he did it.

Majin Othinus: Good idea about the marker, I'll try that.

Yuuji Akira: Thanks for the advice. As for a Beta-reader, that may be difficult. Personally, I tend to write a "script" for the initial chapter, then reread it on another program to make changes. Trust me, if you compare the original draft to what I publish, you can easily see the improvements I make.

Fortitude501: I already have a plan when it comes to God, so don't worry.

Kaito: I will try, but Rias is spoiled and almost everyone around her enables such behavior. I'll see what I can do.

Animaseika: Yeah, having Aleister working behind the scenes is fairly par for the course, as for Othinus and other Magic Gods, that will be explained later down the line. Same thing with Othinus' opinion on DxD Odin.

Ylnadiir: For the first half of the comment, aren't you implying that the plot is none existent after the first arc? Secondly, for your second half of the comment, true, only watching the anime does not get me a perfect idea of Touma's character, however, that does not make me love the Toaru series any less. Do you need to read all the Batman comics to love the character? Third, just because I acknowledge having ignorance does not mean I don't try to learn about the characters I write, I just don't have access to perfect sources for one reason or another, which is why I ask for criticism all the time.

Kegios: First off, thank you. Second off, Realistically.

That was the last comment acknowledgements for the original Kamijou Faction, thank you for your support. I will not be removing that story, as there is still knowledge and experience I can attain from my previous work.

I should remind you that most of my experience with both series is limited. I'm primarily relying on the wiki for this shit, so I welcome any constructive criticism. Also, as a reminder, this story takes place post-Othinus but pre-DxD, so keep that in mind, I will also be twisting a few things to allow both stories to coinside.

Now, criticism is welcome, however, I will remind you that any criticism should be constructive. Any flaws you see with the story, explain your grievances and how I can improve.

Hope you enjoy this rewrite; it's why it exists in the first place.

Chapter 1: The Transfer Notice

Staring out of his classroom window, one Kamijou Touma watched absentmindedly as he watched the autumn leaves fall to the ground. There were only a few minutes before class ended and he decided to spend it trying to work out a new budget for his new freeloader. While her appetite wasn't as large, her spoiled attitude made the unlucky Kamijou's wallet weep at her ridiculous demands.

"Such misfortune." The teen mumbled under his breath as the school bell rang.

"Now class, before you leave I have an announcement to make. Our school was chosen to participate in a rare opportunity. Tomorrow morning, we'll be announcing four of our lucky students who will be transferring over to Kuoh Academy for a culture exchange next week." The 135cm, Komoe-sensei announced.

This announcement caused a ripple of mumbles to break out throughout the classroom. Academy City was super strict when it came to traveling, even within their own country, so an opportunity to transfer to another school entirely was the equivalent to a once-in-a-lifetime miracle event.

"Ah, Sensei!" A student called out, raising her hand. "Isn't Kuoh that private all-girls school?"

"Yes, however, that policy changed a few years back, so now the school is officially co-ed, though due to it being a recent change, the boy-girl ratio is still a little lopsided." The pink-haired teacher announced with a smile.

"Hell yeah!" A student exclaimed in excitement, which caused a chain-reaction within the male population.

"A school of rich ojou-samas!"

"Please choose me!"

"Thank you God!"

This continued for several minutes. Komoe-sensei tried to corral her wayward students, but to no avail. Fortunately, before things got out of hand…

"Enough!" All the male students froze as the harsh voice of Fukiyose Seria, the Iron Wall Girl, carved through their excitement like a Muramasa sword. At once, the entire class calmed down, unwilling to earn the ire of their class's ultimate weapon.

"T-thank you Fukiyose-chan." Komoe-sensei said with gratitude.

"Of course Komoe-sensei." With her piece said, the unofficial final boss of class 1-7 returned to her seat with a nod.

"Now, as sensei was explaining, tomorrow, the school board will be announcing our lucky students, though it should be noted that this is a learning experience for our students; so anyone who is struggling is more likely to be chosen than the others."

The male populace of class 1-7 froze in silent dread when their adorable teacher explained that last part. As one, they turned to the source of their fear, Kamijou Touma.

Kamijou Touma was well known among the student body and even faculty of A Certain High School for two things; his skill in attracting any woman he meets, and his abysmal attendance record and subsequently, his grades. Any hope they had died at that moment. Even if by some miracle they were chosen, they would be helpless to watch as the self-proclaimed "unlucky" Kamijou seduced the entire female student body, and possibly the teachers as well.

"That said, to give everyone a chance, it was decided that our chosen students will be decided by lottery, though as I stated earlier, students who are struggling will be given better odds" Komoe-sensei said.

God might as well have descended from the Heavens and announced world peace, as the male students were reinvigorated with renewed hope.

"Yes!"

"Oh thank you God!"

"There is hope!"

"There's no way Kamijou can win now!"

"Mankind is saved!"

Meanwhile, the aforementioned Kamijou was too busy burying his face into his desk, cursing his male classmates under his breath to rebuttal, not that he could. Kamijou's luck was abysmal; he could have a 100% chance of winning and his misfortune would still find a way for him to lose.

Once everyone had settled down again, the pink-haired teacher wrapped up her announcement. "That will be all for today everyone. Oh, Kamijou-chan, before I forget you have remedial classes this weekend, so don't be late!"

"Such Misfortune." Touma mumbled into his wooden desk.

With class officially dismissed, Touma wasted no time in leaving. There was a meat sale at his local supermarket; if the young Kamijou hurried, maybe he could return home with the ability to satisfy an undoubtedly hungry Index and Othinus.

"Hey Kami-yan!" An annoying voice called out. With a groan he turned to see his two friends, Tsuchimikado Motoharu, along with Aogami Pierce approaching him. Together with Touma, they made the Delta Force, the worst students in school.

"Me and Aogami were going to go to the arcade, wanna join Nya?" The sunglasses wearing blonde offered.

"Can't, otherwise Index will bite me for being so late with dinner." Kamijou replied, purposely neglecting to mention the 15cm Goddess that had recently moved.

"I'm so jealous of you Kami!" Aogami screeched, clenching his fists to his chest. "Having a cute nun cater to your every whim!"

"Like hell! Index can't even do basic chores. The only thing she contributes to is my dwindling bank account and biting me!" Touma rebutted aggressively.

"Oh please Kami, it's obvious she has a fetish for biting people. It's how she shows affection." The blue-haired teen argued.

"AFFECTION?! You've deluded yourself, you fetish bastard!"

"Bastard?! How dare you Kami." Aogami growled. "I am no bastard; I am the Fetish King! I refuse to discriminate women, regardless of their shape or size!"

"So if you saw a woman eating her own boogers, you'd find that attractive?" The unlucky Kamijou accused.

"Of course!" The blue-haired idiot answered without hesitation. "So long as it is a woman who is doing it, I will enjoy it."

"Heh, who cares? Unless it's your little sister, why bother?" Tsuchimikado cut in.

"Shut it you Siscon Sergeant!" The two idiots replied in unison.

"All you care about is your precious little Maika!" Aogami tacked on.

"How dare you insult my sweet innocent Maika like that you bastard!" The blonde idiot replied, throwing a right hook at Aogami. It didn't take long before the Delta Force had dissolved into one of their usual skirmishes. It was another hour before their PE teacher, Yomikawa-sensei kicked the three off the campus.

Safe to say, the misfortunate Kamijou had missed the sale and was now rushing home in hopes of alleviating a disgruntled nun and goddess.

"Crap, crap, crap!" The unlucky Kamijou chanted as he sprinted through the barren streets of District 7.

It was nighttime right now, and he had just finished buying groceries. Hopefully, he could make a good enough excuse to keep Index at bay and maybe Sphynx would keep Othinus busy long enough to make dinner.

Any hope he had was dashed the moment he opened his apartment door and was met with Index glaring at him with a non-to-pleased, 15cm, Magic God resting on her habit.

"And where were you tonight Human?" The one-eyed Goddess inquired in a tone that promised pain and suffering. "Saving another damsel in distress?"

"Toummmmaaaa." Index growled out with a glare, her fangs coming to bare.

"Please forgive this lowly Kamijou, Index-sama, Othinus-sama!" Touma did not hesitate to bow down and grovel before them, begging for his life. "Please, at least allow this unlucky Kamijou to make dinner before you punish meeeee!"

The little nun and Goddess huffed in indignation but did not follow up. The poor Kamijou sighed mentally in relief, hopefully they'll be too busy eating to remember being angry.

"Fine, but I want extra for dinner!" The silver-haired nun in training demanded, with the 15cm goddess nodding in agreement.

Touma swallowed some spit in mild concern. It seems he was going hungry tonight again. Still, it was preferable to suffering from the wrath of his two violent freeloaders.

"Toummmmaaaa./Hummmmaaaan." Crap, did he say that aloud?!

The two women leapt at the unlucky Kamijou in fury, and all he could do in return was simply accept his fate.

"Such Misfortune." He mumbled before the two punished him with divine retribution.

The Next Day

The next day was filled with an unusual tension in the air. Class 1-7 sat patiently at their desks, waiting with bated breath for Komoe-sensei to announce who was transferring to Kuoh Academy. It was slightly unnerving, but the pink-haired teacher simply took it as a sign of her class's eagerness to learn and grow.

"Well class, the results are in, and I am proud to say that all four slots were taken up by members of our class!" The diminutive teacher announced, pride in her voice.

Cheers erupted from the students. This was it, a chance! They male student body had it all planned out; so long as at least one of the male students (not from the Delta Force) made it, they would try to at least get a few girls interested in meeting the rest of them (again, sans Delta Force). It was foolproof; nothing could stop them now! After a few minutes of non-stop cheering, the students of class 1-7 had calmed down enough for Komoe-sensei to continue.

"Anyway class, here are our lucky winners." Komoe announced as she used a projector to show the list of names. Every student felt their blood freeze as the read the list.

-Kamijou Touma

-Tsuchimikado Motoharu

-Aogami Pierce

Shock overtook the entire student body of not just Class 1-7, but the entire school as they read the chosen names. Not only was Kamijou Touma transferring to a, formerly, all-girls private school, the entire Delta Force was now going to be unleashed on a group of unprepared ojou-sama's. Emotions were rampant, but the most prominent ones were jealousy, anger, relief, and pity.

"Hell yeah!" Two-thirds of the Delta force cheered for all to hear.

"Rich ojou-sama's here we come!"

"Hopefully there will be a few little sisters there too!"

While his friends were busy rubbing in their victory, Kamijou himself, he stared off in fear as he read the list over and over; praying that this wasn't some last-minute scheme by Othinus to punish him for last night. While he would normally be frightened by seeing his own name on the list, taking it as an omen of misfortune to come, his gaze was mostly focused on the fourth and final name of said list.

"K-Komoe-sensei." The poor Kamijou sputtered out, his heart being filled with a great dosage of dread.

"Yes Kamijou-chan?" The pink-haired teacher asked, concerned over her precious student's obvious trembling.

"W-W-W-WHY THE FUCK IS ACCELERATOR'S NAME ON THAT LIST?!"

"The fuck is this shit?" Accelerator, the first-ranked Level 5 Esper of Academy City, spat out as he looked over the sheet of paper in his hands while sitting on the couch.

"Transfer notice." His caretaker, Yomikawa Aiho, answered nonchalantly as she walked over to the fridge to grab a beer. "You're one of four lucky students getting a once-in-a-lifetime experience to enroll at the prestigious Kuoh Academy."

The top ranked Esper stared at the sheet as he took in the Anti-Skill Lieutenant's words.

"Fuck that." Was his reply as he tossed the paper aside.

"Sorry, it's mandatory, direct orders from the Board Chairman himself." The Anti-Skill officer rebutted.

The albino teen's eyes narrowed at the mention of the Board Chairman, Aleister Crowley. It was clear that there was some ulterior motive going on, anything involving that bastard did, but what that motive was, was uncertain.

"How the fuck did I even "win" this competition?" Accelerator asked, careful to keep his suspicion out of his voice. He sure as hell didn't sign up for any competition. He mind immediately went to Last Order or Worst; he could see either of the clones entering him into something this stupid for their respective reasons.

"I enrolled you into Tsukuyomi's class, our school was the one that was selected for the opportunity." The adult woman admitted shamelessly as she cracked open a can. "I would've filed for your emancipation, but with your head injury, it was too much paperwork for me to bother. Easier to just have you as a student who ditches class every day."

The albino Level 5 clicked his teeth in annoyance. So she was just lazy, is that it? How typical.

"Oh, by the way, you're also taking Last Order and Worst with you. I got them enrolled for the year since Kuoh covers all grades. Got it approved a lot quicker than I was expecting though." The PE teacher added casually as she left the room, taking a swig.

"Fuck." The top Esper cussed out.

In a secret underground bunker in Academy City, there was a laboratory. This lab was unlike cliche labs villains or mad scientists had. For one, it was well lit, having a lighting fixture above in two separate rows. It was also well furnished, having furniture and even a few plants scattered around the premises. The only place that resembled a typical lab was the isolated room near the back.

There sat a black-haired green-eyed teen, who was wearing a dark blue t-shirt and jeans with a lab coat over it. He was occupied on one of his several monitors, typing sixty-words per minute one-handed as his other hand was busy holding the granola bar he was eating.

Suddenly, a different monitor pinged, notifying him that he had gotten an announcement vie email. The teen grimaced. He hated distractions, they interrupted his train of thought. Should've dropped out of high school when he had the chance.

He wanted to ignore the email, but his OCD would compel him to at least look it over before dismissing it. With great reluctance the teen stopped his current work and submitted to his compulsion to look over the school notification he had just received.

Opening it, the teen saw that it was about the student transfer program to Kuoh that the superintendent set up. The teen rolled his eyes; he erased his name from the lottery prior to the selection process. It would've been an unnecessary distraction from his research, even with the Devils that lived there. Still, might as well see who got chosen, it might affect his research if the wrong people were chosen.

Scrolling down, the teen skimmed through the contents before arriving upon the students who "won" the drawing. However, upon reaching the names of the students who were drafted, the teen's indifferent look turned to excitement, as a viscous smirk grew on his face.

"Well, well Aleister, what do you think you're doing?" He said as he stared firmly at Kamijou Touma's name.

Perhaps, Kuoh won't be such a distraction after all.

Chapter End

Here we go, the first chapter of my new rewrite. Tell me, what do you think? I mostly kept the chapter similar to what I originally wrote, but you can see I took out the Gabriel scenes, mostly because I realized the difference between Toaru Angels and DxD Angels (it will be expanded upon in a later chapter). I then added a few extra scenes to help add some meat to the chapter.

I also decided to put in Accelerator, and a new character who will be important later, but for now remain mysterious. Why? Well Accelerator was partially for Harem fodder, several DxD girls were hard to sort through, so I decided to put in our favorite albino to help expand my options. As for our mystery character, that is to be discussed at a later time. Also, I'm at least 80% sure Accelerator is aware that Aleister is a scheming bastard, if I'm wrong, please tell me so, mind you anything post Othinus does not count.

Now onto Chapter Questions:

Accelerator being enrolled at A Certain High School: I know, Accelerator enrolled at a different school, but from what I can tell, it has almost zero impact on the overall plot, and it makes for a hilarious bait and switch.

Actually, yeah, that is the only chapter related question I can think of at the moment.

Please understand my reasoning for rewriting this story is due to my personal dissatisfaction, rather than comments from the haters.

I hope you enjoy my rewrite of Kamijou Faction Illusion.
