Making her way into the hospital room, Bridget can't help but smile as she sees herwife sitting on the edge of the bed cradling a tiny bundle wrapped snuggly in apale pink blanket. It's been a long five days and she's so incredibly happy tobe taking both her girls home today.

'How are my girls doing?' Bridget asks causing Franky to glance over her shoulder and smile.

'We're so ready to go home.' Franky replies.

'I am so ready to bring you both home. Have you signed the discharge papers? Havethey given you a time to leave?' Bridget asks making her way over to them and kissing each of their heads.

'Mmm... Everything is signed, everything is packed and ready to go.' Franky replies smiling as she gestures to the bags which are sitting by the bottom of the bed.

'Well I best start taking these down to the car then, shouldn't I? Do you want to gether settled into the capsule or do you want to wait until I come back up?'Bridget asks placing the infant capsule on the bed.

'I'll settle her in it.' Franky replies and Bridget nods her head.

'I love you.' Bridget says causing Franky to smile.

'I love you too.' Franky replies. She watches as Bridget grabs their bags and makesher way out of the room. She turns her attention back to the little girl in herarms who was born five days ago after what she can only describe as the mostintense thing she has ever experienced in her life.

'Are you ready to go home, little one?' Franky says softly. Standing up, she adjuststhe capsule so it is facing her before gently placing the infant in it.

'Oh my goodness, you look so little in there.' Franky says smiling as she begins tosecure the little girl into the capsule.

'Doing okay back there? Just a couple of minutes and we'll be home.' Bridget asksglancing in the rear-view mirror.

'Doing just fine. I can't believe we're actually taking her home... It's funny becausewe spent so long going through the process of having her then spent forty weeks growing her and yet I still can't quite believe she's here and she's ours.'Franky admits as she stares down at the baby.

'Feels surreal doesn't it? Bridget replies and Franky nods her head.

'So surreal.' Franky says softly.

'We are interrupting the scheduled show to bring you some breaking news. Multiple casualties are feared after anexplosion has torn through the Wentworth Correctional Centre.'

'Turn it up, Gidge...' Franky says and Bridget immediately turns up the radio.

'We don't have very many details at the moment but it is believed that the explosion has torn through the correctional centre resulting in many casualties and possibly fatalities aspeople remain trapped at this moment. We will bring you details as we have them.'

'Fuck.' Franky almost whispers.

'Shit, that doesn't sound good.' Bridget says as she pulls up outside their the engine off, she loosens her seatbelt and turns around to look at Franky.

'Whydon't you go open the front door and I'll bring her in? We can pop the news onand see if they've got anymore information?' Bridget suggests and Franky nodsher head.

'Takeyour time getting out the car please.' Bridget says.

'We are continuing with ourcoverage of the explosion at Wentworth Correctional Centre. Our latest updateis that the roof of a section of the correctional facility known as H1 has completely collapsed making it extremely difficult for emergency workers to getto any casualties. At this moment in time we are unaware of the number of fatalities this explosion has caused but we have been told that there are confirmed fatalities.'

'You need to try get some sleep, honey. I know you're worried but you really do need to try sleep... It's not only you we've got to think about now. She needs a well rested mommy.' Bridget says softly as she makes her way into the living room where Franky is sitting on the sofa with the newborn cradled against her chest, her eyes glued to the news.

'I'll head up in a bit... They've said H1 is completely gone.' Franky replies shaking her head.

'I've messaged Vera. She'll let us know what's happened when she can but you do need to get some sleep. I'm gonna unplug the tv if you don't head up.' Bridget says.

'I can't, Gidge... I need to watch it.' Franky replies causing Bridget to sigh. She disappears from the room for a few moments before returning with pillows and a cover.

'Let me put her in the bassinet then we'll wait it out together.' Bridget says dropping the items in her arms down onto the sofa. She watches Franky softly kiss the top of the baby's head before passing her over.

'You can go to bed, Gidge... I don't mind staying down here by myself.' Franky says and Bridget shakes her head.

'I'm going no where.' Bridget replies.

'Franky... Franky...' Bridget says softly as she moves some hair out of her wife's face.

'Mmm... What's happening?' Franky asks sleepily.

'I just got a message from Vera. She said there have been so many fatalities, they aren't aware of the full amount yet because there are still people trapped but she wanted to let you know that Boomer and Allie are fine. They've been taken to the local hospital to be checked over but they're fine.' Bridget replies watching relief instantly flood Franky's face.

'Oh thank fuck for that.' Franky says letting her head drop against Bridget's chest as the blonde wraps her arms around her.

'Can we go to bed now?' Bridget asks and Franky nods her head.

'I'm sorry I've been a nightmare and ruined bringing our little girl home.' Franky replies quietly.

'You've not been a nightmare and you didn't ruin anything... You were worried about your friends and that is perfectly understandable.' Bridget says smiling.

'Let's go to bed.' Franky almost whispers.

'Go on up, I'll bring bubba up.' Bridget says smiling. They make their way upstairs to their bedroom where Franky climbs into bed and Bridget carefully places the baby in her co-sleeping crib by the side of Franky's bed. If you had asked Franky ten years ago just how her life would turn out, she certainly would not have said this. She never imagined herself having children but Bridget changed that. Bridget changed her.
