Chapter One: Past Issues
"By the authority granted to me by the enchanted order of Elder Elves... I Kaldorf the Great... do hereby banish you... Drizelda the witch for practicing dark magic... threatening to harm our hamlet... And using nasty thieving animals against our citizens." Kaldorf says as everyone is watching him, Ethena, Drizelda and Drizelda's cat minions.
"And she made fun of my hat! Remember? She said it looked silly." Emily says as Alexis and Kaldorf look at her.
"Oh uh right and the thing about the hat. I mean ahem and the thing about the hat." Kaldorf says as he makes his voice sound more authoritative.
"Oh Kaldorf how bitter you've become. Have you forgotten all the wonderful times we spent together? You teaching me how to harness my power?" Drizelda asks as she smiles evilly.
"Ugh I do remember. I also remember how you grew mad with that power. I can no longer let my poor judgment... bring ruin to this town and its people." Kaldorf says.
"I won't let you do this to us." Drizeda says as she looks at Athena before Alexis goes up to Athena and shifts to wolf form growling at Drizelda.
"Alexis." Athena says as Alexis smiles at her.
"Quiet you mongrel. As I said you will not do this to us." Drizelda says angrily.
"Not your niece Drizelda. You've mistreated Athena for the last time." Kaldorf says.
"The only one being mistreated around here is me Kaldork. Athena tell this insufferable old crow... how well you're being looked after." Drizelda says as she goes over to Athena only for Athena to go over to Kaldorf with Alexis.
"I'm sorry Auntie but I'm staying here with Kaldorf and my friend Alexis." Athena says as she clutches Kaldorf's robe fearfully as Drizelda groans in shock at her.
"You silly little girl. These people aren't your friends. They're fools. Anyway heh you don't have the power to banish me. Try and I'll use dark magic to turn you all into wart ogres." Drizelda says as it thunders before she pulls out a vial with a green mixture while laughing evilly.
"You tell them Auntie." One of the cats says before Kaldorf uses his staff to knock the vial from Drizelda's hands and onto the cats turning them into flying ogres before he then sends Drizelda and her minions flying.
"You will pay for this!" Drizelda shouts.
"And now that that's out of the way... it's festival time people." Kaldorf says as people cheer.
"Festival time!" A man shouts as civilians walk off.
"Thanks Alexis for standing by me." Athena says as she hugs Alexis.
"Anytime Athena. You're my friend. That's what friends do." Alexis says as she smiles and nuzzles Athena happily.
"And I'm glad you stayed Tom." Athena says as she hugs a blue baby cat.
"You shouldn't have kept the girl Kaldorf or this other one. Who's to say they're not just as evil? Athena is a cat person after all. And Alexis can turn into a wolf. She's not even from the village by birth. She was adopted." Emily says as a woman comes over and stands next to Alexis.
"That's right and I love my daughter. So kindly mind that Emily." The woman says as Alexis smiles at her before shifting to human form.
"And I love all animals. See? I saved him from one of Auntie's spells." Athena says as she pulls a baby mouse out of her pocket causing Emily to scream.
"She carries vermin with her!" Emily shouts fearfully as she runs off.
"Okay then?" Alexis asks as she confusedly watches Emily run off.
"Oh no his name is Jerry." Athena says as Alexis smiles at her.
"Don't worry my dears. People's attitudes will change over time I hope." Kaldorf says as he looks at Alexis and Ethena.
"See Tom? Heh. Isn't he cute? I think you and Jerry could be great friends." Athena says as she shows tom the mouse only for the mouse to make him mad by grabbing his tongue.
"I don't know if I would count on that." Alexis says as she and Athena chuckle.
