A Human's Last Stand Prologue

Naruko's POV

It had been a couple of days since my final battle with Sasuke at the valley of the end. I was sure this time I'd bring him back and keep my promise but I failed horribly. I panicked as he launched his full power in the form of his Indra Arrow at me and completely overpowered him and that tore a hole through space-time where I landed here. It had been days or weeks but all I knew was that I lost count ever since his corpse lay at my feet. I had killed my best friend. Some might not have figured it out as I was known as Naruto Uzumaki back there but I was actually a girl. The sexy Jutsu they knew was my real appearance. Kurama and his siblings were gone now too. It didn't help that my body even though some might say I'm a beauty well is still abnormal. I am a Futanari which means a girl born with both genders' reproductive organs. This was how I managed to act like a man and seal my breast and vagina with seals. Things were about to get rougher as I woke up yet again.

The person who had woken me was a brown-haired teen with brown eyes. He wore a black sleeve jacket and jeans. under his jacket which had an emblem titled Kuoh High, he wore a red undershirt. He had pulled out a piece of chess. He began chanting after something told him my name and I panicked at his word.

''Naruko Uzumaki...you have been through many hardships and I understand your pain. Please resurrect and become a devil and my rook as I, Issei Hyoudou commend you...URGh!'' The now-identified Issei tried to finish but I instantly activated Six Paths Sage Mode and stabbed him with a Truth Seeker Orb. He began to turn to ash along a weird red gauntlet. As he died with an expression of unfulfillment on his face I ran. I couldn't become a devil, a demon, or whatever he asked that I killed him. I had worked so hard to be accepted back then and this kid wasn't going to ruin it. I would find a way back and nobody would stop me. I was never one to care about the consequences and I hated killing as the pacifist that I am but I panicked and reacted on instinct when he said the word devil. I was running to live and find another day just like in the streets of Konoha when I was a child.

POV Change: Rias's POV

I couldn't believe it! My Ise was dead as the mood in the entire clubroom was sour. How did he die? Who killed him?! Questions were filling my mind but this time I knew he wouldn't come back. The pawn pieces were shattered completely and as such unusable. My Ise was gone forever now. I would kill the person who did this to him. As I looked at the clubroom where everyone was a mess. Issei said he was trying to help someone he saw recently in pain. That was such an Issei thing to do but I couldn't help but wonder if that person was the cause of his death.

Akeno was a mess who was acting like a robot. Issei had made her accept who she was and to lose our biggest support was a big blow.

Koneko was doing the same as Akeno. She reverted to her persona before Issei joined and never said a word.

Irina and Asia had cried themselves to unconsciousness. Irina's wings were completely black now. She wasn't Micheal's Ace anymore as she was now a Fallen Angel.

Xenovia had left the room with Durandal in her hands. I could guess that she would swing it in anger at our loss of Issei.

Rossweiss-Sensei was crying and trembling. It seemed losing Ise made her go back into the state before Issei was around and she was having PTSD from being the Valkyrie without a boyfriend yet again.

Ravel was a mess and fainted from a fever as she couldn't believe the news. The shock of denial hurt big I could guess.

Kiba was taking it pretty hard. Issei had helped cure his heart of revenge and now it was lost. It seems that revenge would still play a big part in Kiba's life again.

Gaspar was worse than ever. He lost control of his Sacred Gear and reverted back to crossdressing and was an even worse hikikomori than before. So much that I had to seal him up again. After all that progress to suddenly lose it.

We were all having different though but we agreed on one thing. Issei's killer would be brought up to justice.

POV Change: Faction Leaders

The leaders were talking as they heard the news. It was a devastating blow to all. An imbalance had been created and it was going to hurt their plans. One of them began talking.

''Dammit, my poor Ria-tan. She lost him and he was family at this point. Michael, are you really sure that the Boosted Gear is gone forever?'' The voice asked as the now-known Michael nodded somberly and explained himself.

''I'm positive Sirzech. The Boosted Gear had been PERMANENTLY killed off and this imbalance is doing the same but slower to the user of Divine Dividing and his wielder. This imbalance is damaging Father's system and people are losing faith. It seems this caused them to remember and spread Kokabiel's words.'' Michael said as the third person other than Micheal or Sirzech spoke up.

''Damn, and we can't do a thing about it without intel. Sirzech do you know if the kid was trying to resurrect someone?'' The voice said as Sirzech answered him.

''All we know is that he was resurrecting a girl called ''Naruko Uzumaki'' we don't know anything else as the ritual was interrupted and failed. That is all we know Azazel.'' Sirzech said as Azazel nodded and the leaders kept talking but it was certain that they didn't like Naruko Uzumaki.
