Five
October 31, Halloween
Sonny's alarm went off and he reached out from under the warm cocoon of bedding to hit the snooze button. He was spooned up behind Amanda, and when she began to stir, she arched her back a little, the friction having an immediate effect on him. She felt him against her back, and her hips moved slowly. He kissed the back of her shoulder.
"Tell me...what do you want Amanda?" he whispered, his breath hot against her neck.
"I want you, Sonny." And she turned, kissing him deeply while he reached for her. Amanda grabbed a throw pillow, smashing it against her face to stifle the sounds he was bringing out of her.
The snooze went off, just after they did.
"Nine minutes to total and complete bliss." She giggled.
Amanda could feel him smile against her neck, still breathless…
"Good, that means we still have time for round two." He kissed her and the two of them got out of bed, so they could make it. Never taking their eyes off each other. They had an hour before the kids needed to get up, but they also needed to shower, get breakfast started, typical morning routine. Plus, he needed to shave that beard.
Shower first. She didn't need to wash her hair since she'd be wearing that wig all day. That saved a few minutes. Sonny took advantage of the extra time...with his hands, his mouth, his tongue...Sex was always amazing with them, Amanda certainly never believed in soulmates before Sonny, but now she was convinced there was never anyone else made for her in all the way he was.
They stood under the stream of hot water, holding each other. Amanda had her arms folded against his chest and Sonny's arms lovingly holding her.
When they finally got out of the shower, it was time to get the kids up. They both threw on sweats and Amanda roused Jesse and Mason, getting their teeth brushed, and costumes together.
Sonny had Billie, who was still sleepy and clung to him, blanket in hand, with her head on his shoulder. He sat her down on the counter in his and Amanda's bathroom.
"Remember, today daddy's gonna be pretending to be Gomez, right?" he asked her. Billie suddenly remembered today was Halloween, and perked up, still clenching the soft blanket Nonna knitted for her last year. She never slept without it.
"So, Daddy's gonna shave off the beard today...but leave the mustache. Just like Gomez. You wanna help?" She eyed him curiously. Sonny was only doing this because of the drastic reaction she'd had when he grew the beard. He didn't wanna just show up without it and freak her out again. Billie nodded her head and set the blanket down.
Sonny let her put the shaving cream on his face after he trimmed it as close as he could with scissors. Then he took the blade out of the razor and let her run it down his face a few times.
"Good job!" Billie grinned and picked up her blanket again as she watched him shave everywhere but the mustache. Then he let her wipe the rest of the shaving cream off, and he rinsed his face.
"Whaddya think?" he asked her, leaning down again so she could touch his face. She furrowed her brow and touched the mustache, then his smooth cheeks.
"Still just daddy...right?" As the words came out of his mouth, he felt another one of those rushes of affection for the life he had now. It wasn't really that long ago when he'd sadly told Olivia how he thought he'd be married with kids at his age...and it now...it was reality.
Amanda walked into the bathroom as Billie was back to touching the mustache. "Daddy." She nodded her head.
"Ooh." Amanda smiled at them. He stood up straight and turned to face her.
"You did say once, you liked me better with the 'stache."
She laughed and stood on her tiptoes to kiss him. "So that's what it would've been like to kiss 'Call me Sonny' Carisi back then huh?"
"You think you're pretty funny." He remembered while he started falling for her almost as soon as he met her, back then, she definitely didn't want to kiss that Sonny Carisi.
Billie watched them gaze lovingly at each other and snuggled her blanket. Memories like this one would fill her entire childhood. A happy home with parents who were deeply in love with each other and never would fall out of it.
"Okay, baby girl, you ready to put on your lion costume?"
"Kitty Cat," Billie corrected her. She wasn't just any old lion. She was Morticia's pet lion. Billie held her hands out for her mom to pick her up. Sonny kissed Billie on the top of her head before kissing Amanda again.
"Jesse and Mason ready?" he asked.
"Pretty much. I want them to eat breakfast before I put their costumes on, so they're wearing pajamas still, but I got some pasty white makeup on them to look pale, put the chalk in Jesse's hair and braided it, so they're close. Put your suit on Gomez and let's get breakfast ready." She started to walk away but he grabbed her hand.
"Whatever you say, Mon Amour!" He put on the Gomez accent and kissed up her arm. Billie squealed in delight before Amanda finally broke free, all three of them laughing.

The school was all decked out with pumpkins, witches, and bats on hallway posters, and each classroom was full of spooky artsy creations by the kids.
Sonny had baked cupcakes for the class. Decorated like little graveyards with tiny candy tombstones on top and gummy worms coming out of the ground. He'd also made stromboli, had carrots and celery, and at Jesse's request made a pasta pie that looked like it was covered in eyeballs (made out of halved olives). They'd cleared with the school to have Mason join Billie in preschool that day, and Billie couldn't have been happier to be showing him around her class. Amanda and Sonny stood and watched from the door as Billie took him to her table. Sonny pointed out the parents in Billie's class. At first, they couldn't figure out who they were supposed to be, until a little dinosaur ran up to them.
"Oh!" Sonny exclaimed. "Jurassic Park." Amanda looked back at them and laughed. Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler from the first movie. With their little dinosaur kid.
"I'm gonna head back to Jesse, see you in a few?" he asked Amanda. She nodded, and he wiggled his eyebrows at her, taking her hand and kissing up her arm. The black dress had been altered so it was safe for school. No cleavage showing. Amanda's eyes, blue as the Mediterranean Sea, stood out even more with the black wig, dark eyeliner and pale makeup. God she was beautiful.
All the kids in the class made a sound together. "Oooooooooh." Billie gazed at her parents, grinning.
Sonny looked up at them and in Gomez's voice said, "Hey, you're all just jealous! And you..." He pulled Amanda to him, and dipped her in their direction, causing the kids to erupt into 'oooohs' all over again. "You, I'll see in a minute, Querida." He wiggled his eyebrows at the kids, making them laugh, before he kissed her chastely and lifted Amanda back upright before heading back to Jesse's room.
Ms. Perez, the preschool teacher had watched with her teacher's aide. Amanda recognized the look on both their young faces. She quite obviously had a little crush on Carisi. Who could blame her. He was the definition of a DILF. Sonny, of course, was completely oblivious. Amanda wasn't being conceited when she told people she was never worried about Sonny Carisi cheating on her. He just loved her too much. She'd gotten used to the looks from other parents when she showed up to events with him. Instead of feeling judged like she did when she'd come alone, she just felt delighted and content. He wasn't perfect, but he was perfect for her. And she couldn't help but feel a little sorry for every woman who gave him that look. She was once that woman, but now he was hers, and she absolutely belonged to him. She never felt jealous. Just proud that the two of them finally got their act together.
As the day wore on, Sonny became the talk of the school. Once they'd found out he was the one who made all the food, and saw him with Amanda, with Billie, Jesse, and Mason, by the end of the day pretty much the whole school had a crush. Mason was staying over until Sunday, so they piled the kids into the car so they could go home and take a nap before trick or treat started later. Pulling into the driveway, Carisi looked back and realized all three kids and Amanda had fallen asleep on the five-minute drive home. He took a moment to appreciate it before he took off his seatbelt and leaned over to kiss Amanda lightly.
"Wake up, Querida," he whispered.
"Mhhmm, I'm just resting my eyes." She smiled, her eyes staying closed. That was usually his line when he fell asleep on the sofa. He kissed her again and she let her fingers thread through the hairs along the nape of his neck. Away from the dark chalk she'd used to give him that 'Gomez' hair. He deepened the kiss and with his fingertips lightly traced a line from her neck down the front of the skintight dress all the way to her waist, eliciting a soft moan from her when he grazed the swell of her breast through the bodice.
"Don't start something you can't finish, Darling," she whispered when he broke the kiss, motioning to the kids in the back seat.
"Hold that thought, Mon Amour." He grinned lasciviously.
They were all tired, but Amanda had them change out of costumes into pajamas, even though it was the middle of the day.
"Everyone's gonna have a nap!" Billie was thrilled she wasn't the only one. Amanda got the kids in their bedroom while Sonny walked Frannie. He returned, and quietly padded to the kids' room. He could hear Amanda telling them the story of Ichabod Crane. He grinned and thought there was no way they were gonna last the whole night without at least one kid running in to sleep with them. He went back to their room to wait for her.
When Amanda finished the story, she yawned and realized all three kids were already asleep. It had been a long day for everyone, and they still had tonight. She closed their door part way and tip toed back to her bedroom. Sonny was lying on the bed, Frannie lying with him, her head on his thigh. Everyone loves Sonny, she thought, even Frannie. Sonny had clearly fallen asleep too. Amanda crawled over to him from her side of the bed, pulling a blanket off the chair next to the bed. Even in sleep, he felt her presence, and moved his arm, so she could curl up against his side. Once she was settled, his arm rested across her, and she fell asleep as she synched her breathing to his.
They'd forgotten to set an alarm, and when Sonny woke two hours later, the sun was starting to go down. He meant to reach for his phone when he realized Billie was curled up on his other side. Her favorite blanket in hand. He shifted so he could move the blanket over her too. Amanda stirred.
"What time is it?" she asked sleepily, tucking a strand of hair behind her baby girl's ear.
"It's almost five." He leaned back, arms around his girls.
"I'm gonna order pizza and let them sleep another twenty minutes." Carisi yawned as he pulled up the app to place an order.
"This has already been a perfect day." She smiled up at him.
He beamed. "It has."
"Except for that mustache."
His deep rumbling laugh startled Billie.
"Daddy," she mumbled, flexing her hand against his shirt.
"Right here, Baby." He pulled both his girls closer.
~oOo~
Pizza for dinner, costumes back on for trick or treating, then Sonny and Amanda walked the neighborhood with the kids. Hand in hand they stayed in the street by each house with Frannie as the kids traipsed up to each door with a resounding, "Trick or Treat!" From the outside, it might've seen mundane, but both Amanda and Sonny were positively glowing. They couldn't be happier watching their babies enjoy themselves this much. The had just as much fun meeting parents of some of the other kids, marveling at how excited the kids were to bring home all the candy, even though they had to wait for it to be checked before eating, laughing at all three of them when they plopped down on the living room rug and dumped all the candy out, trading with each other. Sonny remembered doing that with his own sisters every Halloween. Then showers for all three of them, back into pajamas again and they all watched The Addams Family movie together on the sofa. By the end of it, Jesse and Mason were asleep in Sonny's lap and Billie in Amanda's. Mason had been the first to get a little scared.
"Can I sit with you, Uncle Sonny?" As soon as Sonny pulled him into his lap, that's right where Jesse wanted to be too. Mason held onto Sonny's t-shirt, rubbing it between his thumb and index finger as he fell asleep. Amanda and Sonny shared a look. There'd be a time, in the not-too-distant future, when circumstances would cause Mason to end up joining their little family permanently. Eventually calling them Mom and Dad too.
Sonny carried Jesse and Mason up one by one, and Amanda carried Billie. They stood in the doorway watching them sleep. Frannie pushed past them to jump onto Jesse's bed. She turned around multiple times before settling next to her. Jesse turned, resting her arm across Frannie's back.
"You think Beth Anne and Jim would wanna come stay for Christmas?" Sonny asked.
Amanda was about to remind Sonny he promised that mustache was going, when she saw the tears glisten in his eyes.
"Hey." She held his face in her hands then leaned back and touched his forehead. "What's going on up here?" she whispered.
"I just...it would be nice to have Mason here then too."
"Well", she started, "my mother and I might kill each other. What if we just see if he can come spend a couple days right after?"
Sonny nodded, then led her back to their bedroom. "I'm just...I've never been...I'm so happy."
"Awwww." She chuckled. "I know what you mean. Neither have I." She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him into an embrace. They just stood there, swaying to the sounds of leaves rustling in the wind, and the last few crickets through the open window. She rested her head against his chest.
"I've never felt so perfectly...content." She rested her hand over his heart. "And it's all because of you."
He cleared his throat, to keep the tears at bay.
"Well...then I guess I better get rid of this mustache so I can keep you this happy."
Amanda's giggle was music to his ears.
He followed her into the bathroom, where she sat on the counter, with Sonny between her thighs and carefully shaved it off for him.
He inspected her work in the mirror, and she locked her ankles behind him, keeping him in place.
"Not bad, Rollins."
She ran her fingers over his cheeks and lips.
"Mmmmmm...There he is." She moved her finger so she could capture his lips with hers. He lifted her off the counter and carried her back to the bedroom.
He tossed her onto the bed, and she stifled another giggle, not wanting to wake the kids.
He crawled towards her, kissing her leggings as he moved up her thighs.
"Now this...is what I've been waiting for." Carisi slowly pulled them down, kissing her bare skin along the way, then back up again.
Her sighs and gasps directed him, until at last, she came undone.
She tossed one arm over her eyes. "Jesus Christ, you're good at that Sonny." She was still panting. He grinned and kissed her stomach where her shirt had ridden up. They hadn't even bothered to get undressed. He was still fully clothed. Once she had a few minutes to recover, he got up and she thought he was turning on the shower, but instead he started a bath. If Long Island ever had a water shortage, Amanda was sure they would be to blame.
"A bath?" She leaned up on her elbows and looked into the bathroom. "We need to get that stuff out of your hair, and I need to wash mine."
"Okay." He shrugged and sat on the edge of the bath, getting the water temperature just right. "We can still do that." The lustful smirk on his face made her want him all over again. He held out his hand, helping her off the bed. In the shower, while the tub was still filling, He had her sit down on the chair and lean against him. She could feel how much he wanted her against her back and grinned. Sex in a bathtub was near impossible...the water would slosh all over the place. They'd tried it once. He wet her hair, massaged the shampoo in and left her long enough to shut off the tub water. Then he pulled off her t-shirt, rinsed the shampoo out with warm water. Gently he massaged in the conditioner, silky against her skin, he massaged her shoulders, her back, never going further.
She had him sit on the same bench. Instead of having her lean back against him, when his eyes were closed, she straddled him. His eyes opened quickly as she sat astride him, and he grabbed at her hips.
"Amanda," he growled.
"Mmmmm. Yes, Sonny."
He shifted, and she dropped the shower head when they began moving together. The water sprayed all over the place, and he finished before she did. He was about to take care of her when Amanda stopped him.
"No, it's okay...I have a better idea." They cleaned up, and she rinsed the conditioner out of his hair before opening the shower door. She had him step in the tub and sit down. She stepped in front of him, the water was just right for her, probably too hot for him, but he would never complain. She sat down and leaned back against him. Exhaling a deep breath as the hot water enveloped her. He massaged her shoulders, feeling her relax under his hand. She turned, nuzzling against the newly smooth skin of his jawline.
"Mmmmm. That's nice," she whispered. He continued lightly massaging her shoulders and her neck until he thought she might actually be falling asleep she seemed so relaxed.
"You always make me feel so loved Sonny." She reached up out of the water and cupped his cheek.
"Amanda Rollins...You deserve to be loved...cherished...worshipped...I swear, I'm going to make sure you feel like that every day for the rest of our lives."
One hand dropped under the water, tracing a line down her side, over her stomach, lower still, then he stopped.
"If you don't want me to—"
Her breath hitched and she cut him off. "Keep going...please."
The water barely moved as he reached her center. Moving slowly until her until her body began to tense. The water sloshed a little as her hips moved with him.
"Sonnnnyyy." Ripples of pleasure rolled through her core, and she squeezed her eyes shut as she came undone, gasping and grabbing hold of his arm, keeping him there until he worked her slowly through it. She exhaled a shaky breath, smiling at how he always seemed to know just what she needed.
She let her body relax and nuzzled against him again. This was right where she wanted to be, for the rest of their lives.
