"On your feet." Koragg instructed as the Rangers pushed themselves up to their feet. "Darkness has come."
"I got a bad feeling about this." Maddie said.
"I do not know you warrior." Udonna told Koragg. "But if if it's a battle you want, I am ready to fight."
"Udonna, let me fight him." China quickly stepped forward.
"He could be a skilled warrior, I sense very dark magic from him." Udonna told her, looking at her.
"I'm not scared of him." China pulled out her wand and moved forward.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Xander exclaimed, hurrying up to her and placing his hand on her shoulder. "I'm going to try to reason with him." He moved forward.
"Oh, like it worked so well last time!" She told him, as he moved a little further up.
"Hi. The name's Xander." The Australian greeted.
"I am Koragg, the Knight Wolf." The dark Knight said, then held out his arm. "Unday Vegor Catastros!" He chanted the spell and a purple spell seal appeared and a giant horse appeared. "Rise up from your depths."
"So much for reasoning." Xander gulped, and China turns to him with a glare.
"I tried to tell you."
"Centaur Ruinforce Cecrestras!" Koragg casts another spell and he becomes giant too. "Power of the Centaur!"
"Centaur!" Chip cried happily, bouncing a little. "A real centaur! I want one!" He and the others watched as Koragg became one with the horse and looked down at the new Rangers.
"You are now just pebbles under my hooves."
"I don't think so helmet head!" China walked around Xander, ready to morph.
"No!" Udonna stopped her, pulling her back. "I've told you, that you're not ready."
"I can handle this freak." China points at Koragg.
"But you have only just."-
"Uh, excuse me, ladies." Xander is quick to get between the two. "May we please end this little discussion on a cliffhanger?" He asked nervously. "Because right now we have a giant problem to deal with."
China folds her arms. "Fine." She caves, nodding to Udonna. "Proceed."
Udonna stepped forward, as Xander pulled China backwards.
"MAGICAL SOURCE, MYSTIC FORCE!" Udonna morphs. "White Mystic Ranger. Gobin Mysto Triviear!"
"I'm ready." Koragg faces her once she's titan size.
"Energy of light … fire!" Udonna aimed her staff at him, but he easily blocked her shot.
"Darkness destroys light."
Udonna charges at him and he laughs as he attacks her. "Have I seen you before, Wizard?" She asks. "You are too familiar."
"And you too, Witch." Koragg said. "But that will not stop me from destroying you."
"What?"
"Behold the eye of the Master." Koragg sends a dark attack on Udonna, casing her to thrown backwards. "You are defeated." He said as sparks came out of Udonna's titan form. As she fell, her snow staff fell and dropped into the forest. Snow fell as a wounded Udonna stumbled out and fell to her knees, powering down.
"Udonna!" Maddie cried as she and the others raced for her.
"Udonna? Are you alright?" China asks as she and Xander helps her up. Koragg picks up the dropped staff.
"I will spare all of you so that you witness firsthand the terror and destruction that unfolds on your land. Remember this day. You will wish it was your last." With that said, Koragg turns to disappear. "Unday Assasstos!" He disappears through a spell seal.

Back at Rootcore, the teens were gathered around Udonna. "Without my snow staff, I cannot fight anymore, but I can still train you." She told them. "I can teach you the ways of magic."
"I like the sound of that." China smiles as she stood between Xander and Vida.
"Clare?" Udonna calls, turning a little.
"Cooooming!" Clare bleeped as she hurried in.
"Oh, child. Morthy Mamoran." Udonna cast the counter spell as the Rangers chuckled, while Clare return to normal.
"Why didn't you do that before?" Clare asked, standing up "Do you know how warm is was in all that wool?"
"Keeps the men away." China replied, earning funny looks from both Xander and Chip.
"If I do everything for you, then how will you ever learn?" Udonna asked with a smile, she turns to Rangers. "Now this time." She said as she hands them each with wands back. "Go nowhere without them."
Xander chuckled as he takes his back. "We already learned out lesson. But, uh, to tell you the truth, walking around town, carrying a wand." He trailed off when Chip instantly starred to play with his wand. "Well, it might be good for Chip, but." He trails off.
"Very well." Udonna nods. "Utum Zoray." Suddenly all five wands transformed. Xander's, Chip's, Vida's and Maddie's wands turned to cell phones, while China's transformed into a different cell.
"Mine's different." China frowned, looking at her wand. "I mean, very cool, but." She trailed off.
"Yours is identical to the Solar Cell Morphers." Udonna explained, as China studied her new Morpher. It looks like a cross between a train conductor's ticket puncher and a cell phone. "These are your Mystic Morphers." Udonna said as she looked around at the teens. "They are activated by spell codes that you will come to learn along the journey. Now go back to the city, live your normal lives and wait until you're needed. Remember, there is evil everywhere and you would be best served speaking to no one of what has happened."
"I can show them the way out of the woods." Clare offered.
"No, they must find their own way." Udonna said. "Just remember … the trees are your passage."

After awhile, the teens are walking through the woods, looking around. "How can a tree be our passage?" Chip asked as they walked.
"It's not that hard to do." China muttered.
Chip reaches out and touches a tree, before disappearing.
"Chip!" The others cried as they ran up to where he was standing. The new Yellow Ranger comes back through.
"Whoa! Guys! So cool! Just touch the tree and bam, you're flying through roots, branches, stems, leaves and bark. Just think of the tree in front of the record shop." He explained. "It really works."
"No, no, no, no." Xander came walking up, not believing his friend.
"Here's an idea rootboy." China said, walking up. "It's called magic, remember?" She takes his arm, turning him around. "I believe Udonna said this is the exit. So, exit, stage left!"
Maddie and Vida gap when the two disappear.
"Ya know, I'm gonna like her." Chip decided.

Xander stumbled out of the tree, China stumbles and falls into him, quickly followed by the others, and the five fall in a heap in the grass in front of Nick motorcycle.
They quickly get back to their feet and look around when a stunned Toby walks up to them.
"Did, did you guys just …from the tree?" He stuttered, pointing at the tree they fell out off.
"No, no." Xander quickly denied as the teens sped walked towards the record shop. "Nothing to see here boss."

China leaned on the counter next to the register, looking off into the distance.
"So!" Xander said cheerfully, strolling up to her. I heard that you're gonna be working here with us."
"I turned down the job."
"What? Why?"
She sighed. "Look." She shrugged. "I don't want roots." She said as Maddie walked up to them.
"Hey, Nick's outside." She said, walking outside the store.
Xander turns back to China. "What do you mean 'roots'?" He asks.
China points at him. "You're Australian." She gestures around the store. "Everyone here has a background." She then points to herself. "I however do not."
"Everyone has a past."
"Not everyone." China said as Maddie walked back into the store, dejectedly. "Hey, no luck?"
"No." Maddie sadly shook her head.
China's eyes suddenly lit up. "Oh! I know!" She looks at the new blue Ranger brightly. "How about a scheme to make a sure way for Nick to stay?"
Maddie looked at her startled. "What? Oh, I don't know." She stuttered as she started to back away. "I-I-I-I think I-I hear Vida calling for me." With that she spun around and hurried off.
China frowns. "Did I say something wrong?" She asks Xander.
"Maddie's shy at a lot of things." The Australian explained. "He stays far away from spontaneous things."
Chip suddenly rushed up to them. "You're scheming something on Nick?" He asked with a smile. "I want in!"
"Let me on it too." Vida said as she walked over to stand on Chip's other side. "What's the plan?"
"Hmm." China turns to look out the window to see Nick, working on his bike. We distract him long enough to grab his bike and stash it, that way he's sure to stay and help fight!" She smiled at her idea.
"I." Xander started, then paused. "Don't think that'll work."
"Then we all jump him, blindfold him, stash his bike and carry him back to Udonna." China thought up another idea.
"Try again." Vida said.
"Then we all jump him!" China exclaimed with a smile. "You two will hog tie him, V will sit on him so he can't move, while I stuff his mouth with socks until he's blue in the face!" She smiled brightly at the idea.
Vida, Chip and Xander stare at her with shock, making China frown.
"What? It's full proof!" She turns to the window, taking a quick glance and finding Nick's bike just leaning against a tree. "Perfect!" She hurried around the counter, past her three friends and out the store.

Outside, Nick turns from talking with Udonna to see China standing by his bike with a satisfied look on her face.
"China!" He stalked up to her and saw that she was handcuffed to the handlebar. "What are you doing?"
"Preventing you. Red Ranger, from leaving." She answered simply. "I thought it was obvious."
Nick closed his eyes, putting a hand on his waist as he used his free hand to rub his temples, then looks at her. "China, I'm gonna give you the count of 10."
Suddenly her Morpher beeped. "Oh!" She gasped and the handcuffs magically disappeared. "By!" She calls, running towards the others as they ran off down the street.

Entering the woods through the trees, the teens slid to a stop, bumping into each other when they instantly noticed the uniforms.
"Oh, check out the uniforms." Maddie said. "They look like the ones that China was wearing earlier."
"Still am." China said as she looked down at her uniform, she has black on the left side and gold on the other side.
"And cloaks!" Chip exclaimed, moving around and smacking Xander in the face.
"I hate pink." Vida complained, not happy with the color in her uniform.
"You can go to the complainants department later, V." Xander said, noticing something. "Look."
They turn to see a bunch of undead warriors.
"I hope everyday isn't gonna be like this." Maddie said with worry.
They quickly started fighting the undead creatures, but soon started to get overwhelmed.
"Udonna said we'd know when to use our wands." Chip called out, begging grabbed and thrown.
"Ya think!?" Vida called out.
Xander threw down an undead warrior. "Let's ranger up!" He said, the five hurried up to stand around each other, they pulled off their cloaks and pulled out their morphers. "MAGICAL SOURCE, MYSTIC FORCE!" They called, morphing.
"Calling Mystic Ranger!"
"Power of the sun, Gold Mystic Ranger!"
Strong as a tree, Green Mystic Ranger!"
"Ever changing as the wind, Pink Mystic Ranger!"
"Fluid as the sea, Blue Mystic Ranger!"
"Fast as lightning, Yellow Mystic Ranger!"
The creatures growled.
"Let's go!" Xander shouts.
"Let's do it!" Chip agreed.
"Mystic Force!" The Rangers calls, before running towards the undead warriors. The team spilt up to fight their own group of warriors.
"You want more?" Chip asked as the creatures circled him and started fighting.
"Let's see what I can do with this." Xander said said, pulling out his staff. "Magi Staff … hyah!" Vines shot out and surrounded the undead creatures. "Magi Staff … Staff Mode!" He calls transforming his staff into an axe and hits the ground. "Take this!"
"Bad boys, you forgot your water wings." Maddie ran through water and shot at them.
"Pink is not my favorite color, but trust me, it's not gonna be yours either!" Vida said as fairy wings appear out from behind her back and flapped, bringing up a hard gust of wind. "Wind Power!"
"Let's give them a little Magi Staff jolt and enlighten them." Chip grabs his staff, bringing dark clouds and shooting lightning. "Yeah! Crossbow Mode!"
"Bad boys, you didn't put on sunscreen!" The weather around China, who gathered the very hot air and thrust it towards the undead creatures, fire hit them all before they burst into flames and exploded. "Sweet!"
The team quickly regrouped. "Great job, guys!" Xander said, suddenly thunder rumbled in the sky. "Or maybe not!" He added as the sky grew darker and Koragg appears.
"I'm back!"
"It's Koragg!" Xander exclaimed.
"Nice one, Captain Obvious." China said dryly.
"We can take him!" Vida said, and Koragg laughs.
"You can try, but you are no match." He said as purple energy starts to build up. "I call on my sword for the Darkness." He aims his sword at them. "This is your end."
"Ok, now what?" Xander asked
"Now you will feel the power of the dark magic." Koragg said, blasting the Rangers and sending them to the ground, hard. The Rangers groaned as they tried to push themselves up. "I will not be merciful this time." He advanced on them.
"Can't we talk this over?" Xander asked as Koragg got closer, then raised his sword and started swinging. "Guess not!"
"You're doomed." Koragg said, swinging his sword. "Any last words?"
Suddenly they hear motorcycle coming near them. "Yeah, just one … hyah!" Nick rides in, jumping off his bike.
"Nick!" Xander gasped as Nick kicks Koragg away.
"Oh, yeah!" Nick stands in front of them, facing Koragg. "Come on!"
"Now there are six." Koragg growls.
"I guess there are." Nick pulls off his helmet. Koragg runs towards Nick, raising his sword at the ready.
"This is as good a time as ever to start believing in magic." Nick said before Koragg brings down his sword, Nick cried as he crosses his arms to block and suddenly red magic appears. "I do believe in magic!" He shouts, pushing Koragg back as the red magic grew bright.
Nick opens his eyes to find himself wearing the Mystic Force uniform and he looks down at himself as the fire magic flowed through him. The red mystic wand appeared in his hand, before magically transforming into the Mystic Morpher.
"MAGICAL SOURCE, MYSTIC FORCE!"
"Calling Mystic Ranger!"
"Red Ranger."
"Get him, Nick!"
"Yeah, kick his butt!"
"He believes!"
"Way to go!"
"Fearsome as fire, Red Mystic Ranger!" Nick calls out.
"Prove to me your worthiness." Koragg told him. "Battle my forces. Hideaks, arise."
The Rangers pushed themselves up, watching as Nick fought off the undead creatures. "Magi Staff … Sword Mode!" Nick shouted, transforming it into a sword, running at the creatures, taking them down. "That all you got?" Nick runs through them. "I summon the power of the Phoenix!" He flew at the Hideaks. "That's hot!" He snaps his fingers, destroying them. "Ha! I guess it works after all."
"Nick, that was awesome." Chip said as the other Mystics ran up to him.
Red Ranger holds up a hand. "Mystic Force."
"Mystic Force!" The team brought in their hands to celebrate their first victory.
"Do not celebrate, Rangers!" Koragg said while standing on higher ground away from the Ranger. "This was just one battle. Next time, the outcome will be different."

After the battle, China walked her bicycle home. Setting it against the front porch she walked up the steps and sat down on them.
"You're home." Her caseworker smiled. "Good."
"Paige." China started, she turns to the older woman. "What really happened to my parents? Please, just tell me."
"I." Paige hesitantly started. "I don't know." She said.
"I'm not a little girl anymore! If you know where they are, I deserve to know!" China's brown eyes glittered with tears. "Where are they?"
"I swear I don't know!" Paige confessed.
China turned back around. "I just want answers." A tear rolled down her cheek. "I mean, is it normal to miss somebody who you never even met?"
Paige walks over to her, sitting next to her. "I really wish I could help out more for you."
The new Mystic Ranger turned to her. "You took me in when no one else would, to me that counts because it means a lot."
