Chapter 2: Valentine's Plan

Shortly after the King had announced their ships to be leaving for Hunter Isle, all of his attackers, defenders, and Dragon Riders had started preparing for their journey. But the King himself is still in his meeting with his Grand Vizier Council.

"My Lord, the farmers are requesting a Trade set up with the Building and Forge groups. Apparently they are running low on tools and their houses are not stable. Plus the Forgers and Builders are also running low on food."

"Very well, send them what they need. We will start preparing a Dropship for Winter. I have heard that the Vikings always have a lower supply income during the times of Winter." says the King as he grabs a knife from the Knife Stands.

"Very well My Lord." Says the Vizier of the Farms as he heads off to the farmlands.

"My Lord, our Agent of the Wing Maidens has arrived." says one of the guards.

"Let her in." says the King as a mysterious dragon rider enter the room. "Been a while hasn't it Heather?"

"Indeed it has My King." says Heather taking a bow. "You know, the world is a large place, maybe you will find something out there worth your time."

"I am the King of Draconia, my duties extend out to the farthest corners of my kingdom."

"And yet here you are, sitting in a throne whilst the world around you expands and tests new theories." says Heather. "Relax, I am only joking."

"So why are you here Heather?" asks the King as he sits in his chair.

"I came to announce that the Wing Maidens and Defenders of The Wing are still at war with Viggo and his hunters."

"I have sent an expedition to deal with that problem." says Hiccup as he sticks the knife in the map on the location of Hunter's Isle. "Valentine is leading the expedition."

"At least there is nothing to worry about then."

Meanwhile at Berk.

After the Chieftain meeting, everyone retires for the night. The next morning, everyone heads to the hall for breakfast.

"Morning everyone, today we will keep working on making Berk a more secure place. Astrid will teach the children with the help of the other teenagers, whilst the adults of Berk start to expand the village to suit more houses and add more farms." says Valka as Astrid starts walking towards her. "Ah Astrid, how may i help you?"

"Hey Valka, I was just wondering if you could tell me about your child." says Astrid.

"Well where to start... he was born earlier than we had expected. Stoick did not expect him to live much longer so he had sent him adrift." says Valka. "I went to see Gothi beforehand and what she revealed to me about his future was... shall we say concerning."

"Alright. That's a start I guess. Do you know if 'he' survived? Or even where he might have landed?" asks Astrid.

"Unfortunately, no." says Valka. "Maybe you should visit Gothi, see what she has to say."

"Alright thank you Valka. I really wish things were different." says Astrid as she walks outside the hall.

"So do I." whispers Valka so nobody can hear her.

Astrid and Ruffnut.

"So did you learn anything?" asks Ruffnut as Astrid closes the door.

"Yep, apparently Gothi gave her some interesting news." says Astrid as they start walking towards Gothi's hut. As they get to the stairs to Gothi's, Camicazi pulls them aside.

"Hey!" yells Camicazi.

"What do you want?" asks Astrid.

"I want to know what you are up to."

"Well we aren't telling you." says Ruffnut.

"Ok, suit yourself." says Camicazi as she walks away towards the forge.

"Strange isn't she?" asks Ruffnut.

"Yep." says Astrid as they keep climbing the mountainside.

Once at the top, Astrid and Ruffnut stop.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" asks Ruffnut.

"Anything to find out who the heir of our village was supposed to be." says Astrid as she knocks on the door.

"Astrid lass? What are you doin' here?" asks a one-legged man.

"Gobber. I am here with Ruffnut... I want to ask Gothi about Stoick and Valka's child."

"Alright, in ya come." says Gobber hold the door for both Astrid and Ruffnut to enter. "Gothi, they are here for You Know Who." Not Voldemort, he is not in HTTYD

An old woman with a walking cane walks into the main area. She sprinkles a little bit of sand on the floor and starts writing in it.

17 years ago. (below will be in Italics)

A young baby was just born, the child of Stoick the Vast chief of Berk and his wife Valka cheiftess of Berk. The next morning Valka left the house before Stoick woke up. She only had one place to go, Gothi's hut on the mountain. As she arrives, the door opens to show Gobber and Gothi sitting on the couch with sand sprinkled on the floor.

"Please Elder, tell me of his future." says Valka as she hands her child to Gothi.

Gothi starts scribbling in the sand. "She writes: He is a natural born leader, future king of a great island. Rider of an enemy to Viking kind. Peace looks well at this being, maybe he is the solution. Maybe he is the end to the 300 year war. 20 years shall pass until he shows his true colours."

After saying this, Gothi hands Valka her child and makes a small tag. Then continues to write in the sand. "She states: this will allow you to write his name, as he may not stay... great punishment comes to those born like him if he stays here."

Valka takes the tag and writes the name: Hiccup Ryder Haddock the I. "I trust he will have bright future?"

"Yes, that much is certain." says Gobber.

End of Memory.

After hearing what Gothi had to say, Astrid and Ruffnut thank her and Gobber and then leave back to the village with their knowledge.

"So Astrid, what is the plan now that we know?" asks Ruffnut. "Because we still do not know where he was adrift and whether he survived or not."

"Keep it at a downlow. Don't tell anyone that doesn't need to know."

As they keep walking they run into the other teens: Fishlegs Ingerman, Snotlout Jorgenson, and Tuffnut Thorston.

"Where did you guys go? We were missing you at the meeting." says Snotlout.

"Keep your nose out of our business Snotlout, you don't need to know what we were doing." says Astrid as Camicazi is walking by.

"Snotlout, are you pissing off Berk's best warrior again?" asks Camicazi.

"Get out of here, you aren't involved in this discussion." says Snotlout earning a punch in the face.

"Keep quite. Nobody wants to hear your voice Snotlout." says Astrid as they walk off.

"Why does she always have to do that?" asks Snotlout.

"Well, she does have a point." says Fishlegs.

Meanwhile the Draconian fleet approach Hunter's Isle. On board their captain's vessel, Valentine talks with his commanders.

"Send a Terrormail to the King, alert him of our arrival."

"Yes sir."

"So Valentine, what is the plan for battle?" asks one of the commanders.

"Well Commander Valos, it is simple, we deploy our harpoons, and cannons, then release the dragons upon the wreckage of Hunter's Isle. I also have orders to leave with warriors. So make sure to arrest the warriors, we will take them to the capital."
