Preface
Disclaimer: I do not own Covenant, but my co-author, LadyHimawari, and I do own our OCs and their families. Some of this is an account based off of the actual historical facts and fictionalized event of the witch trials, which this month is as good as any to post this up. The Sons of Ipswich are the descendants of the five families in possession of supernatural powers and gifts, passed down through each generation, that founded the Ipswich colony and are also warlocks. The five families were: The Danvers family, the Parry family, the Garwin family, the Simms family and the Putnam family. The fifth family, which was the Putnam family, was banned from the land of Salem, Massachusetts because they wanted more power and was killed off.
Or so we were led to believe…
As it was in Salem, some witches had been wiped out due to the hysteria of the hunts, and fear of the Devil, claimed to have been seen by witnesses. The founding families there had aligned with something evil.
And because of it, those who knew of the pact, and were a part of it, and those who were innocent for it had suffered.
Though after the trials, those who had managed to escape started anew, not aware that the certain Evil had followed them no matter how far they went, and those that could "see" it for what it was, It had clung to it, in the hopes of using them as vessels.
A force such as this will always try to find a foothold within the world, just to feed on the blood drawn from the victims. And with every other generation that was skipped, it would find a host in another within the line, and a consort.
This would emerge when a coven of warlocks and witches would unite with the help of Seers and all the families of old…
