So this is going to be the original version of Crossroads where Nick is a hybrid with only what's between his legs to show for it, not the version where he and Mrs. Wilde become cops and fight crime together. That one's actually going to be under a different name. I don't know which one, but it'll be relabeled under a different title.

Also, here are the obligatory warnings and tags so that everyone who clicks on this knows what's ahead of them. Some of you might flame and say I'm a sick fuck, but I did warn you.

P.S. if there are some similarities to A Mother's Love, I apologize for that. But I will say that in this story, only Mrs. Wilde is aware of her feelings for Nick, while Nick himself is too busy wallowing in his own world of self-loathing to notice anything out of the ordinary with his mother. A Mother's Love has the both of them with feelings for one another, but too afraid to act on them for fear of driving the other away. Get the picture?

Enjoy the reboot of Crossroads!

Today was not a good day for Nick Wilde. He started off late for work, and then as punishment for such negligence, Chief Bogo assigned Nick parking duty for the next two weeks. On top of that, Judy and a few fellow officers poked fun at him for becoming a 'meter maid'. Later, he faced many Zootopia citizens spitting at his face and calling him a thief for wearing a 'stolen uniform'. But at that point, Nick used to such mocking bigotry. Besides, he at least had something to look forward to at the end of his shift. However, even that wasn't enough to raise the tod's spirits.

Nick walked into his apartment with a downtrodden sigh, his ears folded back against his skull and his gaze cast to the carpeted floor before him. He remained still for a while before snapping out whatever trance encaptured him and closing the door behind him. "Nick? Honey, is that you?"

Nick's ears flicked once, and he looked up in the direction of where the voice originated. "Yeah, mom. It's me. Just got off from work."

"Okay! I'll be out in a second!"

Nick sighed and shook his head, undoing his tie, belt, and shirt before tossing them into a messy pile in some forgotten corner. Then he walked over to the couch and crashed facedown onto it. Aside from the crappy day he had, Nick was so, so so tired. The alluring call of sleep nearly brought him into the dream world until the opening of a door jerked him awake. He groaned in protest and turned his head to face the culprit, only for his eyes to widen at the sight before him:

Allison Wilde, mother of Nicholas Piberius Wilde, stood in the living room with nothing but her damp fur and a bathrobe on, the latter which hung loosely from her shoulders, giving Nick an obscured view of her deep cleavage. Paws on her hips, Allison shot the tod a disapproving frown before stepping towards him and gesturing that he move over. "Scoot. Let me sit and snuggle with you."

Nick did as she told him without protest, sitting up and making room for the vixen to sit next to him. "Thank you, sweetie," she said with a smile, planting herself on the cushion and immediately leaning against her son with a hum. "How was work today?" she asked, placing a paw on Nick's chest and stroking it through the white undershirt pulled taut around his torso.

Nick wrapped an arm around Allison's shoulders and pulled her closer to him, to which she expressed her pleasure with a soft coo. "It was alright. Got thrown under the bus by my coworkers, and now I'm stuck doing parking duty for the foreseeable future."

Allison snorted and rolled her eyes. "Come on, Nick. Chief Bogo wouldn't do that to you, now would he?"

"No," Nick said with a sigh. "He wouldn't. But it's one of his many goals in life to make sure it happens."

Allison chuckled and looked up at her son. "How long are you really on parking duty, Nicky?"

"Two weeks," he replied without missing a beat. "Two whole damned weeks of writing tickets and getting harassed by unhappy civilians who don't know the common rules of the road." Nick sighed again and met Allison's gaze as he looked down at her. "Am I doing something wrong, mom? Am I not cut out to be a cop because I'm a fox?"

Allison frowned at him and smacked his chest none too softly. "Of course, you're good enough, Nicholas! That rabbit girl wouldn't have given you that slip of paper if she didn't think you were. Speaking of her, how are things coming along?" She donned a grin and wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. "Have you two been 'experimenting'?"

Nick gaped at her in disbelief. "Mom! Are you serious? No! Why...why would we even do anything like that? I'm not dating her anymore."

Allison's playful act dropped as suddenly as she picked it up, and she stared at Nick in confusion and worry. "What? Why not? I thought you two were-"

"We," Nick began, avoiding her concerned expression as he bit his lip nervously. "We kind of had a falling out with each other. We had differing views and opinions on a specific topic, and while I tried to make her see that we had to accept that fact, she wouldn't listen to reason." He sighed again. "I tried, mom. I really, really tried my best to not lose her, mom. But...but I did despite everything I promised myself and you."

"Hey," Allison said, reaching up with her free paw and placing it on Nick's chin, guiding it so that he looked her in the eyes. "It's okay, honey. Things like this happen all the time. I thought Judy would be the one for you too. Unfortunately, it seems that she wasn't and that someone else is. You'll have to find her all in due time, okay?"

Nick nodded solemnly, flicking his eyes downward before moving them off to the side. "Yeah, I guess you're right," he said half-heartedly.

"Oh, don't be such a sourpuss, Nick." Allison buried her head into the crook of her son's neck, reveling in the soft warmth and slight musk it provided. It made her feel safe in his presence, and Allison couldn't ask for anything more. Well, sort of. But the matronly vixen pushed such thoughts aside before they surfaced and influenced her actions, especially when she was practically on top of the object of her desires. "You'll find the right girl, eventually." Allison added with a shrug, "Who knows? She might be dropped into your lap within the next couple of days."

Nick chuckled softly. "Maybe so, mom. But for the moment, I'm content with having you here for me, just like when I was a kit."

His words sent a delighted shiver down Allison's spine, and she smiled warmly at the pleasant memories flashing in her mind. "Thank you, Nicky. That means a lot to me. You can always count on me to provide for you, no matter what those needs may be."

Oblivious to the light hint in her words, Nick smiled and wrapped Allison in a full hug, pulling her onto his lap and as close to him as he possibly could. "Thanks, mom. I appreciate it."

Allison hummed as she nuzzled his neck lovingly. "You're welcome, baby."

"I love you."

For three simple words that should have had little impact on her, Allison couldn't help but shiver slightly as they touched hidden desires within her, rousing them from their slumber. Fortunately, she settled the rising tides - if only temporarily - and replied with all her heart:

"I love you too, Nicholas."
