Note: I am making two fanfics at the same time. I just couldn't wait to post this one. I love the Owl House, so I wanted to make a fanfic. This doesn't mean I am going to stop on my other fanfic, but I will try to balance these two (as well as school) at the same time. Other than that, I got this idea inspired by MoringMarks Witches Among Human AU comic, so see that. Also, aside from a few changes, the characters don't belong to me, but to Dana Terrance and Disney. Hope you enjoy.

Amity Blight is a normal human girl. She is also the most popular girl in family was the most popular business company in the world. Blight Industries. The most famous work industries, specialising in weapons and security. They had made a name for themselves for their title alone.

As such, there are pretty big expectations for Amity. In fact, the only reason they even live in Gravesfield is because the local school has been widely known for one of the best education systems ever. However, Amity doesn't want to be that person. Amity wanted to be her own person, figure out who she wanted to be. But of course, her parents (particularly her mom) had planned her life, from who she could be friends with, to her hair colour. Luckily, she had her ways of sneaking past her.

At night, Amity waited until everyone was asleep. Then…

"Psst, Amity,"

Amity looked at the window. There was a girl. It was Amity's best friend, Willow. Willow was a pretty kind girl. She loves plants, and wants to become a herbalist when she grows up. Unfortunately, she is often bullied on at school, but Amity helped quel it down.

"Quickly, before Mom finds me," Amity said.

Willow had a vine tied up on the porch that she climbed up in. Down below were Willow and Amity's friend group, Gus, Viney, and Skara.

Gus was the youngest out of them. He was also the smartest out of them, being able to skip two grades. However, this made him a target for older, much less naive teens who used this. The only person who didn't use him was Willow, who protected him afterwards, in result of becoming seen as a sort of bully. Gus, however, trusted her and the two became best friends. Gus now works as the head of the newspaper at school.

Then there was Skara. Like Amity, Skara was born into a very popular family. And like Amity, she became a popular mean girl. Unlike Amity however, she actually had a choice, her parents not judging her for who she really is. However, other people have high expectations, to the point she just joined Boscha and masked her true self. It was only until she learned of Amity's secret friend group that she joined, but hid it from the school.

Then there was Viney, the recent new girl. She had a fondness of animals, big and small, dangerous and friendly. She even owns a pet lion. Unfortunately, she had a habit of bringing some animals to school. This caused her trouble multiple times. However, she soon became friends with Willow, Amity, Gus, and Skara, and she got it mostly under control. Though, she can still bring some of her pets to school.

This friend group is secret to everyone. Especially to Amity's parents. They established to meet every night to catch up, at the dead of it, where no-one is awake, at weekends. Yeah, it was jarring, but they got used to it. Especially since it's the only way to not get caught by anyone.

Eventually, they headed into the forest. Into a forest was an old, abandoned house. This house is hidden from everyone, with no trackers, cameras, and is deemed abandoned by the government. Perfect for a secret hideout.

The whole group agreed to meet here to hang out. Aside from Willow and Gus, the rest of the group try to stay far from each other to avoid suspicion that they were friends. Amity and Skara have a reputation to hold, and Amity's mom is… very controlling.

Anyway, enough exposition. The group were just talking about stuff that they had been up to.

"So, me and Gus are planning on making the sports team," Willow said.

"That's amazing Willow," Skara remarks, "What have you been doing Viney?"

"Honestly, not that much," Viney said, "I've mostly just been focusing on my parents' veterinarian clinic. You Skara?"

"Just," Skara started, "I've just been having enough of Skara's bs. Just recently, she started bullying someone. It was this new kid, I think her name was Vee. It's just getting harder and harder to… you know."

"I know. So, what have you been doing, Amity," Gus asked.

"Uhhhh," Amity said. She actually had nothing. Normally, she would do two things, one would be rant about her parents (obviously), but another is that she would talk about her favourite book series, the Good Witch, Azura. But now, with nothing to talk about with Azura, no new book coming out, she doesn't have anything.

Then, BLLLRRRZZZTTTT. A bright light appeared on the front door. Amity, Willow, Gus, Viney, and Skara were blasted back.

"What the…" Amity said, before a blinding light flashed. Out came a human looking figure.

The light disappeared, and everyone was able to recover.

"Is everyone ok?" Willow asks.

"I'm fine," Gus said.

"Me too," Viney said.

"My head kinda hurts, but yeah, I'm fine," Skara replied.

"What about you Amity?" Willow started, before seeing the figure that came through that light.

The figure looked human. She had brown skin, brown hair, and looked around the same age as the rest of the group. However, she wasn't human. She wore a purple cloak over her clothes, which made her look like a witch. But that wasn't the weirdest part. The weirdest part was her ears. Her ears were pointed, almost like an elf, that stook out the most. She was also covered head and toe with scars.

"Who is she," Amity asked.

"More like what she is," Skara added.

"Hey, she dropped this," Willow called.

Willow then grabbed something. It was a long, bo-like staff, with an owl on the top.

"What do you think it is," Willow asked.

Just as Amity, Gus, Viney, and Skara went over to see, the bird's eyes glowed yellow. Its wings spread, as it flew off the handle. Soon, the bird's eyes became actual eyes. With pupils and everything.

It flew over the pointed ear girl, and woke her up. Then, she spoke.

"King, Hooty, Raine," the girl said, "Is anyone there?"

She looked like she got woken up from a crash as she was struggling to get up.

"It's Ok," Willow assured her.

But all the girl could think was.

"Oh my titan," the girl said.

She then ran, grabbed the stick, and held it in the air.

"Who are you," she said, "Do you work for Belos? If you do, then you're messing with a witch that has read too many fantasy novels."

"Now wait a minute," Gus started, but then, the eyes on the owl glowed yellow again, but this time, the girl spun the staff in a circle, with a light, yellow circle, that then blinded them. They blinked and the girl was gone.

"Where is she?" Willow asked.

"I don't know," Viney said, "But she isn't well. Her scars are really serious."

"Plus, we don't want people to see her ears," Gus said, "They'll start asking questions."

"I still have a lot of questions," Amity said.

"Ok, let's split up," Willow suggested, "She couldn't have gotten too far.'

Everyone nodded in agreement, with them running out. Skara and Willow went one way, Gus and Amity went another, while Viney went to grab an animal at her home to hunt her down.

Amity and Gus went into town. They searched around, but no luck.

"Ugh, how do you find a witch in the middle of the town," Gus said, "Maybe we could try and lure her out with something that she likes."

"That's ridiculous," Amity said, "She's not like an animal."

"But, we don't know about that," Gus said.

Amity thought about it. "Fine, I guess it is worth a shot," she sighed, "But what does she even like?"

"Beats me," Gus said.

"You're literally the one who suggested it," Amity said.

Meanwhile, while those two argued, Willow and Skara searched in the woods. The woods are widely regarded as dangerous. But that girl could be in danger. So they took the chances.

Though the two girls were a bit scared. This area was said to be haunted, with a story of two brothers who went into these forests and never came out. Still, they had to push through.

They trudged through the forest, never looking back on any circumstance. But even Willow shuddered. Sure, she was shy, but not scared. They went deeper and deeper, daring not to make a sound to wake the creatures, the trees looking at them, menacingly. Then, they heard a growl.

"Please tell me that is your stomach," Skara asked.

"We just ate two hours ago," Willow said.

"Then what was that," Skara asked.

The two looked behind them and saw a terrifying figure, with feathers all over its body, its eyes pitch black, its claws sharp, with owl-like appearances, as it towered over the two girls. It then roared at them.

"AAAAHHHHH!" Both Willow and Skara screamed as they ran as far away as they could.

The two ran, but the beast seemed to be just one step ahead of them. They eventually reached a dead end, with the beast cornering them. The beast then lunged forward. Willow and Skara braced themselves, but then.

BRRRRR ZTTT!

A beam of yellow light blasted the beast. Willow and Skara opened their eyes and found the girl from before, fending off the beast.

"Hurry up and get out of here," she said, "I'll try and hold it off."

Skara and Willow got up. "Thanks," she said.

"Thank me by running and not dying," she replied.

Willow and Skara ran away, as they got out of the forest and into town. There, they stumbled upon Amity and Gus, still arguing.

"I'm just saying that we could just try," Gus started, only to be interrupted by Willow and Skara, both looking very exhausted.

"Willow, Skara, what's going on," Amity asked.

"It's…coming…" Skara panted.

"What's coming," Gus asked.

"That…owl…beast," Willow panted before fainting.

Then, the owl beast came. Flying in on its big, owl-like wings, and landing right in front of Amity and Gus. Amity and Gus were knocked back, with them being forced back by the force of the landing.

"What do you want with us," Amity asked.

The beast just roared, as it raised its claw to slice Amity and Gus open. Then…

"Hey, big, strong, and ugly. Why not try picking on someone with your own power," the girl then appeared, riding the staff like it was a broomstick. She then shot the beast with lasers coming out of the owl's eyes. She landed as she pointed her staff in a threat.

"You," Amity said, "You're helping us."

"Thanks," Gus said.

"Your welcome," Luz said, "Now try and get out of our way, before someone gets hurt."

Gus nodded, but Amity was not fully convinced that what this girl is doing is in their help. Still, with no other option, Amity and Gus grabbed the unconscious Willow and Skara away.

"All right, now tell me how you managed to escape to the demon realm, and maybe I'll spare you," The girl said.

All the beast did was roar, but it seemed like the girl understood it.

"Welp, can't reason with crazy," the girl said, "Now eat this sucker."

The girl then held her staff like a rocket launcher, and shot a beam of light that exploded on impact. The owl beast groaned, but it got back up and attacked. The girl hopped on her staff and flew, same with the owl beast. The girl tried to outfly it, but it always seemed to be right behind her. She got tackled down, being disarmed. The beast put its face near the girl, but then…

"RRROOOAAARRR!"

A lion came in and pushed the beast off of the girl.

"Yeah, that's it, Muddles!" Viney appeared on the lion, riding it.

"Is that mythical beast yours," the girl said.

"Well, technically, he belongs to my mom, why," Viney asked.

"You gotta let me hug it when this is all over," the girl said.

"Sure," Viney said, "Don't worry boy, if she tries to hurt you, I will kill her."

Muddles and the beast got into a fight, with both of the scratching, and attacking the other. Eventually, the beast got into a position that it was able to win. Viney was on the floor. Then, the girl shot a fireball at it, before drawing a circle in the air and trapping the beast in some sort of purple goo.

"Alright beast, how about you stay there until we find out what to do with you," the girl said.

The beast tried to break free, but the girl created another circle and the beast fell asleep.

"That…was…amazing!" Gus shouted.

"Aww geez, thanks," the girl said.

"Well, what are you even doing here," Amity said.

"Amity, this girl saved our lives from that beast," Willow said.

"Yeah, I still don't buy it, this girl comes out of our door, attacks us, a monster attacks, and we're supposed to believe she's good," Amity said, "Who are you? What are you? I want answers!"

"Amity, calm down," Willow tried to intervene.

"No, she's right," the girl said, 'I don't want to hide anything anymore, not after it caused me a lot of trouble before. I'll tell you everything, but we need to be somewhere that isn't so out in the open."

"We can go back to the shack," Gus said.

"Also, do you have a name," Skara asked.

"Yes," the witch said, "My name is Luzura."

Now yes, I will be focusing on two fanfics. I'm also sorry if I haven't been uploading anything recently, I'm just busy with school. Anyway, hope you enjoy, cause next time will be a Luz backstory.
