He couldn't remember how he got here. He had been floating in The Nothing when suddenly he was on the side of a road. Hearing screaming nearby he raced off to find the source of the terrified voice. As he ran he couldn't stop the feeling of something being wrong. He was dead. He was supposed to be dead. Forever lost to the Nothing. But he was here running along an old dirt road that lead through a thick forest to help some person that had screamed bloody murder. Arriving on the scene only strengthened the feeling that something was wrong. No one was there. There was a car still on and functioning, some blood on the ground, but no body or person. A russell in the tree drew his attention as he slowly turned to face the thing that was coming out of the trees.
"Looky what we have here." Stated the black eyed person as they confidently walked towards him. They were in the skin of a young female that was clothed in comfy clothing and walking shoes. She was of average height and a bit on the bigger side. "A full fledged angel of God himself." The demon readied their weapon and Cas pulled out an angel blade. "Oh no. Don't think this will be easy." As he said that more demons came out of the forest. All of them sported different bodies and there were about ten in total. Cas knew he could fight. He learned as a warrior of God and from Sam and Dean; but he didn't know if he could get through this. Suddenly one of the demons to his left yelled as a blade came ripping through their back and out the front.
"Maybe I should even the odds a little then." To Cas's amazement Crowley of all people turned and charged at the nearest demon as the demon that had spoken charged Cas. Cas dogged his starting strike and elbowed his forearm to get him to drop his weapon before kneeing him in the jaw before having to dodge another knife as a demon came up behind him. Grabbing that one's wrist he pulled them down into his blade and watched as their eyes lit up a holy light as they died. One down. Spinning around he came face to face with another demon's fist as he got punched in the nose. Taking a couple of staggered steps back he righted himself and swung his blade at the demon. Another came up behind him and he elbowed that one in the gut before quickly twisting and slicing his throat. Two down. The one he had knocked down minutes before grabbed his arms and attempted to hold him still as the other finished him off. Quickly swinging his body to the side he slipped out of the demon's grasp as the other's blade plunged into his stomach. Three. Before the other could tell what happened he had plunged his blade into their stomach. Four. Suddenly he was grabbed from behind as the last demon grabbed him from behind.
"Not so tough now are you?" Whatever else he was about to say was cut off as he was stabbed through the head by Crowley.
"Well that was fun." Crowley started as Cas turned to look at all of the bodies littered on the ground.
"Where did they all come from?" Cas questioned as he looked back at Crowley.
"Like I know. Where are Moose and Squirrel?"
"I have no clue. Last I saw them I was pulled into the Nothing so I could kill death." Crowley looked at him like he had another head before deciding to just accept it.
"Alright, then any idea what they would be doing?"
"They would probably be out hunting all of the demons and angels that had been let loose from whatever it is that is happening here. '' Cas closed his eyes and tried to focus on the pull of Dean or Sam but couldn't feel anything. "Some reason I can't teleport to either of them, so we will have to find them the old fashioned way." With that Cas started to walk along the road the same way he had been going before being caught up in the mess they were in.
"I have a feeling this isn't going to go well." Crowley complained to himself as he followed the angel.
