We're back with Seven Days of Halloween for the fifth year in a row! Last year we did all crossovers, this year we're doing fandoms that I hadn't written for before 2022. Also, coincidentally, all of the stories this year feature LGBTQ relationships, that was not on purpose lol.

Day 1 (Oct. 25th) - The Mitchells VS. The Machines

Day 2 (Oct. 26th) - Sonic

Day 3 (Oct. 27th) - Victorious

Day 4 (Oct. 28th) - Mythic Quest

Day 5 (Oct. 29th) - Zombies

Day 6 (Oct. 30th) - Our Flag Means Death

Day 7 (Oct. 31st) - Scooby-Doo

This is the sequel to Good Cop, Bagel Cop. I have had the best time coming up with titles for this crack ship. Agent Stone doesn't have a real name, so I used his actor's name.

Enjoy!

Agent Lee Stone was nothing if not consistent. When he fell in love he fell hard and fast and couldn't get the object of his affection out of his head or his coffee art.

He hadn't meant to fall for the dorky deputy, but love was unpredictable like that. So after their flirty little interrogation, Stone began to scheme how he could see his new crush again.

He had to enlist a little help, pulling his sister and his nephew into his plotting. He'd picked the perfect day for his plan, too. The one day of the year that Deputy Wade Whipple would be sure to open the door to him.

Lee let his nephew Ryder run around and collect some candy before taking him up to Wade's door.

"I'm gonna talk to the man inside for a minute after you get your candy, okay, kiddo?"

"Okay. And then we'll go to more houses?"

"Yeah. Then we'll go to more houses." Ryder happily skipped forward, wearing his green power ranger costume. Lee was wearing a mask over his eyes as well as a cowboy hat, but he would take both off for the reveal.

"Oh, I love your costume! Is the green power ranger your favorite?"

"Yeah!"

"Very cool." Wade tossed a handful of candy in Ryder's pillowcase and then glanced up at Lee, just in time to see the power ranger's chaperone remove his mask.

Wade's face immediately went warm.

"I didn't think I'd ever see you again."

"Me neither, but I had to take my chance. And I'd like to see you sometime after this, too."

"You're not exactly the most reliable," Wade said. "After this, you're just going to leave again."

"Not necessarily," Lee held out a piece of paper with his name and phone number.

"Trick or treat, Deputy. See you around." Lee turned to walk away.

Wade looked at the paper, "Wait, Lee-"

Lee hesitated and turned back, smiling hopefully at Wade in a way that made him want to melt.

"Yeah?"

"Whose power ranger did you steal?"

"My sister's. Come on Ryder, we have more houses to go to."

Wade watched them walk away and then shut the door, several choices weighing on his mind. He slumped into his armchair and unpaused Little Shop of Horrors but he wasn't really paying attention to the movie.

"Lee… Lee Stone."

He knew what number he should be calling, and it wasn't the one on the card. Technically he had just encountered a criminal. Technically it was his duty, as Green Hills' loyal deputy, to report any suspicious or criminal behavior. But technically he was off duty, and there was nothing criminal about a man taking his nephew trick-or-treating. There was nothing illegal about a little flirting.

He paused the movie again and dialed the number on the phone.

"Calling so soon? Don't tell me you already miss me."

Wade laughed but he wanted to cry.

"Don't be so cocky. I just wanted to make sure it was a real number."

"It's very real. I meant what I said, Wade. If you give me a second chance I'll stick around."

"I really want to believe you. But I feel like after tonight I'm never going to see you again."

"Well, would you like to see me tonight?"

"You did promise me that date," Wade said cautiously.

"That I did. I have to drop Ryder off in half an hour, maybe then we can meet up?"

"You know where I live, why don't you just come here?"

"Ooh, sounds fun."

"Don't get any ideas, cowboy. I just don't want to leave the house when people are still trick-or-treating."

"I understand. A cozy night inside sounds nice."

"I'll see you soon."

Wade had just enough time to finish his movie and tidy up, and soon the doorbell rang again and Wade went to let Lee in, hoping this was a treat and not a trick.

Lee wasted no time.

"Deputy… Can I kiss you?"

"My name is Wade," Wade said.

"I know."

"Then use it."

Lee placed a hand on Wade's shoulder, "Wade, may I kiss you?"

Wade barely hesitated before nodding, and Lee gently pushed him against the wall and began to kiss him.

Wade pulled away long enough to turn off the porch lights, and then he deepened the kiss.

When Lee finally came up for air he noticed right away how quaint Wade's place was. It was all decked out for Halloween but it also featured a lot of personal decorations, athletic trophies from years ago, family photos, and, in the corner half tucked away a little bi flag.

Lee pointed it out.

"When did you know you were bi?"

"College. What about you? When did you know that you liked guys?"

"I think I've always known I was gay. I didn't have a word for it when I was a kid, but I figured it out pretty quickly. I think I had a crush on enough cartoon villains for it to be pretty obvious."

"Ah, yeah. My first guy crush was my college roommate. That did not end well…"

Lee frowned sympathetically.

"I'm sorry,"

"Oh, don't worry about it. That's behind me now. And from where I'm standing, the future looks bright."

Lee blinked, suddenly overcome with emotion, "You'd choose me to be your future?"

Wade bit his lip.

"I want to. I want to trust my gut and believe that you'd stay. If I chose you, would you stay?"

Lee nodded earnestly, wordlessly.

"I would choose you every day, Wade."

"Oh," Wade said, nearly swooning. He'd been in relationships before, with both men and women, but that was the most tender thing anyone had ever said to him.

"Steady, deputy," Lee said, catching him when he swayed and then effortlessly lifting Wade and carrying him to the couch.

Wade wrapped his arms around Lee's neck and nestled his head into his neck.

"You wanna watch a horror movie?" Wade mumbled, having no interest in letting go of Lee.

"Sure."

Wade settled in Lee's lap, keeping an arm wrapped around his neck, and turned on Scream. They didn't actually watch most of it, too engrossed in each other's presence. They did pause the movie halfway through for popcorn and apple cider though, before resuming the movie and their cuddling.

"Lee?" Wade asked as the credits began to roll.

"Mm?"

"Thank you for choosing me."

"Thank you for letting me choose you," Lee said, kissing up Wade's neck and face.

"Lee?"

"Yeah?"

"Happy Halloween."

Lee threw back his head and laughed.

"Happy Halloween indeed."
