Becky Botsford is a normal teenager until one day she discovers the truth: she and her pet monkey Bob are aliens from the planet Lexicon, not only that but also that Becky has superpowers. Now Becky uses these powers as the hero WordGirl, read along as she defends her city from the forces of evil.

Story Info

After narrowly escaping the destruction of her planet of Lexicon an infant WordGirl along with her monkey guardian/companion Captain Huggyface they both crash land on Earth where they are soon found and adopted by the Botsford family and named Becky and Bob Botsford.

For the most part Becky lives a pretty mundane life, until she turns fourteen when she discovers her origin as well as her powers, which she decides to use as the superhero WordGirl.

Name: Becky Botsford/WordGirl

Age: 14

Personality: Becky is a very intelligent young girl who has a fondness for words. She does lots of ready and writing, which she is pretty good at. When she first discovers her powers, she's scared of what she can do but after enough training she grows very confident (borderline arrogant) of her abilities.
