Before falling asleep, Marie had scowled with every word Nazz spoke to Kevin. She vividly remembered that night Nazz spoke of, even if it was years ago, Marie could still feel the blonde's touch. How she held her gently and how her fangs felt on her shoulder. The way their hands held each other as Nazz-
No! Marie forced herself to stop thinking of the younger girl, even though her face felt super heated. She looked up when the pair returned and she narrowed her eyes as Nazz came near, grateful that the Alpha kept some distance. However she couldn't fight sleep forever, no matter how hard she tried and she was snoring gently nestled against Edd.

Edd woke up with a groan, feeling his wounds gently pulse all over his body and cautioning him from moving too much. He looked around, trying to take stock of where he was. The smell of apple pie and sun was still there and to him it smelled familiar, after a moment, he realized why.
"Nazz," he muttered softly, only to jump when she called out to him.
"Yes, do you need something?"
"Er, no. I just realized this was your scent. And I'm guessing that this is your house, since the scent is practically everywhere."
Nazz offered him a warm smile and Edd relaxed a bit. "You guessed right. How are you feeling?"
Edd rolled his shoulders and winced, grunting softly. "Still very sore. I'm going to assume you rescued us? I must say, I don't remember much."
"There's not much to say," this time it was Kevin speaking, and Edd jumped again, not noticing the other Alpha beside him. Kevin had moved from lying beside him to give the smaller boy some room. But he sat on the floor with his head propped up by one hand, supported by his crossed leg. When Edd looked over to him, the red head smirked and gave a lazy wave. "Sup. Anyway, it wasn't that hard to get Lee off you. The bitch was too focused on trying to tear your throat out. All it took was one good claw swipe to pry her off. Eddy was a bit harder to deal with. Once he realized his mate was down, it took my and Nazz to take him out. If they're smart, and they're not, they shouldn't mess with you."
"You said it yourself, they aren't smart, but once me and Marie get back on our feet, we'll be okay. It's nothing we can't handle. But thank you, for helping us. You aren't hurt are you?" Edd asked, realizing the rain and pine scent was coming from Kevin, it was oddly calming. Edd then mentally slapped himself, even after all this time, he and Kevin were nothing more than acquaintances, he shouldn't and wouldn't expect anything from the red head just because he helped save him and his partner.
Speaking of whom, Edd looked down at his packmate, seeing Marie curled and turned towards him. The boy smiled and hunkered down, gently rubbing his cheek to hers and he smiled faintly as he noticed the girl settling more comfortably. "We'll go to the den as soon as we can," he promised her, though he knew she couldn't answer or even really hear him.
"The den?" Nazz asked quietly, looking genuinely curious and grumbled as Double D remained tight lipped.
"Is it alright if we stayed here, just enough that we healed up and could move on our own."
Kevin looked at him, seeming to think while Nazz looked uncomfortable. "What if Lee or Eddy attacks you again? You can't be caught alone!"
Edd took a deep breath to try and reign in his biting retort, his energy seemed to warn Nazz as she ducked her head, muttering an apology.
"I won't be alone. Marie will be with me and besides, it's not like we're completely helpless. I can't and I won't be the kind of Omega who sits around waiting for an Alpha to come save me." Edd said with a bit of an edge to his voice, glaring lightly at Nazz. "Yet at the same time, I am grateful for you helping us. I think it's best if we go now. I'm fit enough to travel and Marie will probably be okay." he added, shaking Marie awake.
When she startled and looked around, Edd calmed her with another nuzzle and some soft purring. The blue haired girl calmed at that and Edd explained quietly to her what was going on before Marie stiffly got to her feet. She wobbled a bit, stumbling a little towards Nazz and the blond seemed a bit too eager to touch and hold her. Marie growled lowly but at the same time was blushing, her whole body trembled and it wasn't just from the pain of her wounds.
Nazz pulled Marie closer to her, nosing her neck for a moment before licking her scent gland, Marie let out a strangled moan and her breaths came out in pants, her eyes squeezing shut. "Nazz...p-please...I d-don't..." The scent of desire made Kevin scowl and look away while Edd growled, his hackles raising.
Despite his pain, he rushed forward and pushed Nazz away, causing the Alpha to growl at him. Edd growled back when backing away to shield Marie, who had fallen to her knees. She looked up at Edd, shame, anger, and lust clear on her face when she turned to stare at Nazz. Nazz however just looked annoyed and raised her claws, that's when Kevin stepped in.
At first, Edd bared his fangs at him too, before he noticed the red head extending a hand in protection of them. He turned slightly to the smaller boy and jerked his head. "Go. I'll handle Nazz. Get Marie out of here." he ordered lightly, Edd scowling as he did but Marie needed to get out. So the Omega did as he was told.
Taking Marie's hand, Edd ran away. Just as he rounded the corner, he heard Nazz snarl and running steps before a heavy thud followed by the sound of two Alphas growling. The deeper, more controlled growl Edd somehow knew to be Kevin's sent a jolt through him but the boy was determined to ignore it and focus on getting Marie to the safety of the Den.

Edd couldn't run fast enough, though it would help if Marie actually ran with him instead of just the boy dragging his older, somewhat heavier friend along. Nonetheless, he made it through the woods and toward the old shed. Edd sighed in relief when he saw it and worked to push the heavy door open.
It took two years of hard work and scourging for every dollar to fix and furnish this old, crumbling shack, but it was theirs and it was home. Edd was happy to sit where his scent, and Marie's, were the dominant presence, it made him feel secure. Even more so than in his actual house. As he flopped into the over-large chair with half beside him, half sitting on his lap, he noticed her curling in on herself and her body still shaking.
He was about to ask what was wrong before feeling the intense, almost burning feeling of lust and desire. He grimaced as Marie squirmed in his lap, wanting to move but fearing that if he did, Marie might fall to the floor in her state. She looked up at him with glassy grey eyes and hold on tight to his shirt. It took only a moment but when it clicked for Edd, he tilted his head in concern.
"Marie...are you...?" he didn't get to finish as Marie shook her head, a small whimper falling from her lips.
"N-No. I just...that girl...that stupid Alpha...I can't...I want...Please Edd! Just...just go!" the last words were growled at him and the younger could only nod dumbly as he watch Marie practically fall off if him to the floor but any attempt to help her resulted in a desperate growl.
After that, Edd made the decision to stand outside the Den, his back to the door. He could hear Marie rooting on "her" side of the building, finding every bit of clothing she had and even some books and stuffed animals he had bought her to build a nest and fall into it. However, from her frantic movements that he could hear, she kept moving and repositioning both the nest and herself.
He wanted to help her, but felt that wouldn't go over well, especially with how Marie's emotions were twisting the girl in knots. Edd was about to settle a bit more on the ground when he heard the jingle of a belt being jostled and rustle of clothes fabric shuffling about. He blinked and he got his answer on what was happening when he heard Marie cry out and smelled the change in her scent. He blushed and hurriedly got up. The rational part of him mind felt somewhat bad for just up and leaving but the more emotional half was thinking, "no! leave now, you don't want to hear and smell this!"
So, without much choice, Edd left Marie to deal with her body's needs and go where...? He hadn't been to his house unless it was to shower, Marie using his house for the same purpose. The lanky boy stopped once h reached the edge of the cul-de-sac and looked around. Perhaps the lane, even from the opposite end, Edd could smell the place was empty. He could squat there until he guessed a long enough time would go past to check on Marie.
"Damn Alphas..." Edd grumbled, pulling his beanie over his eyes as he slid down to the ground, letting out a soft sigh.

Marie panted as she rearranged her nest for the third time, not feeling comfortable, flashes of searing fire and chilling ice racked her body and she barely to keep from tearing the shed apart in both rage and pain. As she rooted about her nest, she clawed hard at the stuffed animals and soft blankets, she then proceeded to rub her scent over everything, panting as her mind flashed to Nazz.
Why the hell couldn't she get the blonde out of her mind?! They weren't friends, they weren't pack, so why? All Nazz did was wrapped her wounds and give her a place to stay for a few days. Those few days...
For a moment, Marie's body felt calm as she remembered what happened two years ago. Lee was always the better fighter, and not just because she was Alpha. After being ravaged by Lee, Nazz's cool and soft touch was like a gentle rain on her battered and bloodied body. And even before that, the moments they spent in school was like a much needed oasis from her home-life with Lee.
After having her pack bond severed, being with Nazz was like a balm and that night, that wonderful night! Even the feel of Nazz's fangs were different, it still hurt but the pain was something she could deal with and even crave.
Yet despite those feelings, Marie had to leave. She couldn't bring herself to be with another Alpha, not yet. Then she found Edd, tossed in the same situation as her. She only thought of helping and making up for how she treated him when they were younger but somehow that turned into them becoming friends and even forging a new pack bond.
It was perfect, they spent the next two years together, leaving their homes to make the old shed in the wood, their Den, theirs. Their pack was happy, was carefree. Edd was finishing up high school, only senior year to go. Then Lee and Eddy had to show themselves and kick in her's and Edd's shit.
Waking up in Nazz's house, with Nazz draped over her once again, licking her wounds and tending to her. It was too much! Marie knew she couldn't blame Nazz for what Lee did, she wasn't the Alpha Lee was but it was too much.
And yet...and yet...Marie found herself craving Nazz's touch. She wanted to feel her body against the blonde's again. Hear her voice in her ear and most of all, be surrounded by the cooling embrace of the younger Alpha after enduring the raging fire of her sister that left her battered and bloodied.
Marie hissed as she flopped down on her nest, the scorching heat of lust coupled with the chilly want of distancing herself from Nazz was driving her insane. She wanted Nazz, but was afraid. She hated that she was afraid and wished to be held and coddled and treated right. Just like when Nazz did it.
Tears pricking at the corners of her eyes, Marie felt like shattering. Her hot and cold body ravaged her and she fell into her nest, sniffling. Her heat was nowhere near due but her whole body ached and images and her memories of Nazz just stoked the fires higher.
Feeling more than at the end of her rope, Marie pulled her pants down, pulled her dark and bloody tank top over her breasts and stuck her fingers down as far deep into her core as possible. The rough penetration caused her to snarl but she took hold of her breast just as tight and let out a strangled moan. Even as she arched her back and part of her felt some pleasure, it wasn't enough. Even when thoughts of Nazz thrusting hard into herm, her growls deep in her ears, her fingers weren't enough to satisfy her.
Even after coming with a tear filled cry, her whole lower body arched high, it didn't feel good and Marie flopped down in a sweaty and miserable heap, her hair sticking to her face and neck as she panted for air.
When she tried to roll over, everything hurt. She had worked loose her bandages and some of her wounds opened up again, staining her skin and her nest harsh copper smelling blood. Yet Marie didn't move. Not just because of the pain but because that if she tried, she felt like she would break.
So Marie laid there, in her nest of sweat and blood, her eyes closed and just wanting to drift downward into a deep pool.
A few moments later, Marie felt a cool touch, and to her overheated skin it felt wonderful. For a second, she almost thought it was the roof was leaking and she felt rain on her shoulder. But...it wasn't raining, no scent, no sound.
A sound growl right above her caused Marie to groan, more so as she caught the scent of sun and apple pie. She couldn't turn around, but the blue haired Omega knew who it was. Part of her was angry, but the other, more exhausted and lost part of her was begging that this wasn't a dream.
"Nazz?" she whispered softly, only to be answered by another growl, deeper this time and much more pressing. Marie groaned again as Nazz let out her scent, crushing her but in a way that her body deemed acceptable and even needed.
"Please...d-don't..." Marie muttered shakily, wishing she could turn around but it hurt too much. She felt tears in her eyes.
"Be quiet." came the rough order, Nazz's Alpha voice, no matter how softly it was said. Nazz was angry, even if she could feel that Marie simultaneously wanted her here and didn't. She sniffed around Marie's nest, noting the sight and smell of blood, but felt like she couldn't and really wouldn't move her. So she went on with her first plan and climbed in the nest beside her before like she had twice before, draped her slighter but heavier bulk over the older girl.
Nazz scented the air around Marie, smelling the war the Omega had with herself and thought to continue sending out her scent but this time, instead of with anger, she let out to blanket Marie, ease her suffering heart and it worked. Marie visibly relaxed underneath her and her let out a shuddering sigh. The soured scent around them slowly started to revert back to Marie's natural scent. Of lavender and spring air.
Her inner Alpha rumbled in satisfaction that her Omega was calming down. But...
"Don't run away from me again." Nazz rumbled, closing her eyes to unknowingly match Marie.
"Nazz..." Marie's voice was faint. Comforted but still in that rough state.
Nazz sighed and moved her head from the top of Marie's to lick the shell of the Omega's ear, causing her to shudder, her claws digging into her nest. "Don't run from me. Please." She used her Alpha voice one more time, hoping that Marie would just submit already. But Marie wasn't like most Omegas.
She shifted underneath Nazz, trying to get away and grunted as she did so but Nazz was a bit too havy for her right now and Marie grumbled softly before trying to wipe away her tears.
"We need to talk. Can we talk?" Nazz asked, moving back to rest her chin on top of Marie's head. The close feeling making Marie feel like the fire was dimming and the ice melting. She was starting to feel a little like herself.
"I can't...I just don't want..." Marie couldn't finish and she buried her face into her nest, her shoulders shaking.
"I know you're scared. But Marie...it hurt me too when you just left me that morning. I can't just forget that. You may not want to admit it, but your scent, it called to me. It did last night and it did just now. I'm here because whether you like it or not, you wanted me to be here. So please... don't push me away again. Don't leave me alone. Let me help you."
Marie bared her fangs and felt tears in her eyes once more, her whole body began to ache again. But then Nazz began to purr and the ache slowly receded, just like the fire and ice. Marie panted for breath once more and inhaled Nazz's scent. It was calm and clear, she could feel Nazz's longing like a gentle breeze and Marie knew that she could at least give Nazz a chance.
She took a deep breath and as best as she could, looked at the blonde haired girl. "Okay. I'll try."
A/N: Woo! This one was a bit heavy to write but I love it all the same. Nazz and Marie will be able to finally talk things out. Now it's the boys turn. Though who's to say how their relationship will turn out? Find out in the next chapter! And as always, enjoy.
