The Planet Krypton is dying, and several years of mining for significant resources have left Krypton's core unstable. "I told you. Harvesting those resources was suicide," he said in his calming voice. Jor-El, leader of the Science Division of Krypton's government, forewarned the danger to the planet's core. He had a square-chin, gloriously short black hair, and emerald green eyes. He wore the customary uniform of the Science Division with the symbol for the house of El on his chest. "Our energy reserves were exhausted. What would you have us do." Said Zer-Mi with his stark white hair and his short elegant beard. Was the leader of the Kryptonian Council... they were the leaders of Krypton's government. Jor-El thinks that the planet is doomed and that Krypton was once a thriving power in the universe, but now they only have Krypton, their people's home. Most other Kryptonians left the broader Kryptonian Government and set out on their own, but Krypton had no contact with them for centuries and had no idea what happened to those other worlds.

Jor-El then says with exasperation etched on his face. "You don't see, don't you. Our planet is unstable. But there is still hope for our people. I suggest sending one ship with a lone survivor to a planet designated..." But no one ever heard what he said next. Jor-El turns around as he sees Kryptonian Soldiers in high metal armor come marching into the Council Chambers. Then a man with a shiny bald head, fierce black eyes, and a beard comes in high metal armor with the symbol of the house of Zod on his chest. Dru-Zod had come...

"This council has been disbanded," said General Zod in his deep, menacing voice with deep loathing. "On whose authority?" blurted one of the council members. Zod said calmly with an inch of menace, "Mine." He then shoots the councilwoman in the heart and orders his men to round up the remaining members of the Council. "What are you doing, Zod?" Said Jor-El in alarm. "This is madness!" "What I should have done years ago," exclaimed General Zod. "These councilmen and women, with their endless debates, have led Krypton to ruin." finished General Zod. With his moral integrity, Jor-El would not allow this and left whooshing past General Zod. He then makes it to his home after some time. "Lara, we need to begin the launch. Remember what I told you if worse came to worst." He said with panic in his voice as Lara, his wife came to him. "I know, Jor. It needs to be done. Kara Zor-El will be sent with Kal; I have ensured that." "Thank you, Lara. For everything." Said Jor-El shedding a tear. Kal-El was one of the only hopes of Krypton left besides Kara Zor-El. Who was part of his brother's family. Zor-El was an ally of Jor-El in later years. Though he took some convincing from Lara to get him to agree.

Kal-El inherited a lot from his father, like his handsome looks. But he inherited his mother's baby blue eyes. Which was one of the only differences between the two. They put him in a ship entirely made of Kryptonian Metal and had the symbol of the house of El etched onto the outside. "Goodbye, my son," said Jor-El. "All our hopes go with you." They then closed the ship and launched it into space. Jor-El died. But General Zod survived and was sent into the Phantom Zone. Kal-El survived and made it to Earth, but Kara Zor-El did not arrive on Earth.
