This is a... well, I'm not quite sure what it is. Anyhow, this scene
occurs during the end of the second season/beginning of the third
season, after the events in "Confessions and Lamentations".
-------
Feelings and Flarn Puffs
Lennier stumbled, bleary-eyed, into the central common room
that attached his quarters to Delenn's. Sometimes the ambassadorial
suite has its disadvantages, he thought as he began searching
through the cabinets in the kitchenette, careful not to make too
much noise. Lack of privacy, for one thing. He certainly wouldn't
want Delenn to see the polka-dotted pajamas with feet that he was
currently wearing.
He finally found what he was looking for---a box of "Flarn
Puffs". After attitudes toward Earth had gotten a bit nicer on
Lennier's home planet, a few Minbari had decided to make their own
version of a human tradition... breakfast cereal. Badly recieved on
Minbar, Flarn Puffs were nevertheless a big hit on Babylon 5, mostly
as a novelty item.
The cereal skittered as Lennier poured it into a bowl. Then he
began eating, his mind on other things. It's fortunate that Delenn
has been sleeping later since her change, he thought, it gives me
a chance to sit here and think. And eat my Flarn Puffs.
His thoughts shifted towards more dangerous subjects as he
poured himself another bowl. She certainly has been spending a lot
of time with Starkil---uh, Captain Sheridan. I really should stop
calling him that. The war is over! Well, anyway, I worry about them.
About her. Is he truly the one she is destined for, as she says he
may be? Doesn't she know that I love her? He sighed, putting the
bowl in the automatic washer and going back to his room to change.
The small rebirth ceremony that he practiced each morning
helped some, but Lennier didn't feel reborn. He just felt angry.
Even meditation couldn't stop the buzz in his head. Hiding his
feelings, the Ambassador's aide stepped out of his room to meet
yet another day.
There were always problems to deal with, and sometimes Flarn
Puffs just couldn't solve them.
