Part two, recommended only for Homo sapiens sapiensis

Ummm…

I felt compelled to add this explanation.

1) This IS complete.  More like a little joke, than a story.

2) I wrote it solely because I felt it was morally wrong to be registered solely for keeping track of reviews I leave, and I felt compelled to post a story.  As I tend to grow bored writing something longer than 3 paragraphs, I had to keep it short.

3) What inspired me was the fact that there are thousands and thousands of stories based on Tolkien's world on this site, and, unfortunately, a lot of them are about Elves.  Why unfortunately?  Don't get me wrong.  I love Elves.  I took time and effort to read The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings (with appendices), The Silmarillion, The Unfinished Tales, most of The History of Middle Earth, and The Letters.  I took pain to learn Quenya grammar, and how it differs from Sindarin.  I tried to understand The Attrabeth which I found incredibly boring (may Tokien forgive me for saying such sacrilegious things).  Therefore, coming from this position, it bothers me when people write about Elves not thinking about differences in human and Elven psychology.  That's OK if that's humor, or parody, or AU, or something like that.  But if the author has the pretense of seriousness, it does annoy me.  Write about humans.  There are as many or more human cultures described for Middle Earth as there are Elven.  Why Elves?  Why Elves?  This story was my answer to that question. J

4) Yes, I am fascinated by pointy ears.  In fact, I am fascinated by any ears in all kinds of animals, including humans. J

5) If you love Elves (not in the "I lurv Legsie!" sense, though), seek me out at the forums I mention in my profile.

6) Thanks to those who took time to leave a review (you know who you are).  It was much appreciated and inspired me to write this explanatory note (as if someone will read it!).

Hugs,
