I dreamt I killed you last night.

I dreamt I watched you die.

And as you lay in a growing pool of your life blood,

You did not even ask why.

You just looked at me with your kind, understanding eyes

And died.



I dreamt I killed you last night.

And as you lay surrounded by your heart's blood,

I could not understand why.

You who had wanted nothing but peace and justice

You died.



I dreamt you killed me last night.

I dreamt you watched me die.

And everything I knew died with me

And now I know why.

I am neither peaceful nor pure. I am not part of your ideals.

And so I must die.



I dreamt I killed myself last night.

I dreamt I watched myself die.

And yet you came to me.

And now I know why.

You are not just another face.

You are light, hope and truth.

And maybe you can teach me to be part of your world.

So we both can live.
