Severus Snape, Potions Master at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, current lover of Remus Lupin, was having a hard time sleeping. Ever since near dawn when he had been awakened by the loud screaming, laughing, yelling, and shouting of students on a day off.
Snape regretted that today there were no classes. He would have been even more happy to take points away from Houses, especially the Gryffindor House, because he was certain that he could hear Potter out there amongst the other yelling students.
He glared at the wall, willing an imaginary hole in it. He'd stared at it for so long and so hard that, at one point, earlier, it looked like the wall had begun to slowly move and sway. He would complain to his lover, but Remus was sleeping. Besides, he was quite certain that, even though he had been awakened at the crack of dawn by screaming students, that Remus would insist that they had their right to have fun, especially on a day off, outside in the sunshine.
"Severus..." It was the voice of his lover. How long had Remus been awake watching him suffer??
"How long have you been awake?" Snape asked, a bit more harshly than he'd meant to. He was lying on his side, facing away from Lupin at the moment.
"Long enough. If they're bothering you that much, Severus, then just ask them to find somewhere else to have fun." Lupin said. Snape could even hear the reasonable smile that was probably on Lupin's face.
"I will." Snape said, growling as he threw off the blanket and got up, stalking to the window.
Snape through the window open, and leaned out of it a little.
"Severus..." Lupin said, noticing something that Snape had obviously forgotten.
"In a moment, Remus." Snape said.
"But..." Lupin insisted.
"I said in a moment!" Snape nearly yelled. It got the attention of the people under the window. "Listen to me, you pathetic excuses for wizards and witches in training...Get away from the window, and find somewhere else to...play. Now. Or, I'll take 50 points from your Houses EACH!" Snape yelled.
Snape was not happy to see that, even though the students were doing as he had ordered them to do, they kept looking back at him and laughing. Potter was amongst them, but he wasn't laughing. He and that Weasely boy were wide eyed and gaping mouthed.
"You do realize that you're standing in front of the window, completely naked, right?" Lupin asked, unable to keep the smirk off of his face.
"What??" Snape yelled, looking down at himself, his own eyes widening just a bit. He got back inside the room completely, and slammed the window shut, drawing the curtains shut as quickly as he could.
The End
Author's note: Yes, I know its VERY short, but its supposed to be.
