I wonder, why people keep saying that my smiles are a deception? They would say that I hide behind a mask of smiles, to conceal my dark past and background. Problem is, why can't I simply smile for the sake of smiling? Smiling is one human expression for happiness and in the modern society, politeness.
For goodness' sake, I was just being friendly. Would you stop trying to dig up all the 'dark pasts' of mine? Because I don't think a 'dark past' even existed for me. I have a normal family. A loving 'kaa-san, a strict 'tou-san, a goofy 'nii-san and a serious 'nee-san – that's all. We are one happy family. Dad isn't some rich heartless merchant, and neither is Mum one vain airhead-ed rich lady. My brother doesn't abuse me sexually when I was a kid, and my sister, however serious she is, never told me that I was a 'stupid bastard' or something that other people assume.

People like to say that I am cold. They like to say that I'm a selfish fellow who doesn't give a damn about anything and everything except basketball. Hell! I just didn't like to talk. Why can't you just give me a break and stop raving about my 'cool-ness'? Or stop commenting that I'm 'too thick to string two words together'? Fans are stupid. So are the people who called the fans stupid. I am just being myself.
Speaking in excess doesn't appeal to me. Really. I just don't see the point of making comments that doesn't function constructively in one way or another. Anyway, I'm sleepy, so I shall stop trying to convince you that I'm certainly not trying to be 'cool' or 'heartless' when I remain silent.

My fans, how sweet they are! They defended me and told everyone that despite my constant ravings of my intelligence, I'm actually hiding behind a mask, and that I'm not the stupid airhead that everybody sees. I deeply appreciate your efforts so.
I was actually trying to make Haruko happy. She called me 'Tensai', so I should do as she says. Before she persuaded me to join the basketball club, I was just wasting my days away as a hoodlum. Now that she brought me back to the light, I don't see anything wrong in humoring her. It doesn't matter if the others saw me as 'stupid' or something. The thing is that I believe in myself, and I know Haruko does, too.
