One Time at Band Camp…
Alicia felt nervous as she stepped into the room. These were going to be her band mates for the next year, and for the sophomores and juniors even longer. She looked at her sweating hands. Yep, definitely nervous. She decided to look around at the flutes to see who she would be sitting next to/near. Well, scratch that idea. No one had their instruments. O well. She walked over to a group of girls that appeared to be talking and having a good time and quietly listened to their conversation.
"I can't believe that I'm a sophomore," the one with dyed blond hair said.
"How do you think I feel? I'm officially an upperclassman. Fuck, I'm old," another with a big frame and curly blond hair said.
"I'm not exactly a freshman anymore either," a tall girl with brown hair said.
Alicia noticed that there was a short, quiet girl with brown hair listening to the conversation. Deciding that this one probably would not laugh at her ignorance to the whole being in the band room without instrumentation thing, Alicia walked over to her.
"Hi, I'm Alicia. What's your name?" she said.
"Maria. But for some reason everyone calls me Mia. So you can call me that," Mia said.
"Hi Mia," Alicia said.
"Hey, look! Mia's got a new freshman friend," the girl with the curly hair said. "Hi Mia's new friend. What's your name?"
"Alicia."
"Hi Alicia! I'm Sarah. This is Muffin. Her real name is Katherine but we all call her Muffin," she said pointing to a rather plump girl with short hair that Alicia did not notice, "Julia," Sarah pointed to a tall girl similar to the tall girl Alicia saw before, yet different, "Onion, her real name is Caitlyn and she's Julia's older sister," she pointed to the tall girl Alicia saw before, "Elyssa," Sarah pointed to the girl with died blond hair, "And I think you already met Mia."
"Yeah. Hello."
"Hello." "Hi." "How are ye?" "Whassup?" "Yeah, we got a little orgy going on right here. Wanna join us?"
To that, Alicia just laughed, "What is band camp like anyway?"
"An orgy." Elyssa said. Everyone laughed, "Just like the OAC. Eh Onion?"
"Oh baby you know it."
The entire group laughed, Alicia included. For the first time since elementary school, she was part of the group.
