Time
By: Ravens Firefly
* ~ Darkness consumes the light ~ *
The light from the Charged Particle Beam turned everything a bluish color. It was beautiful; a deadly, blue, light of destruction.
I waited…waited to hear the impact. Waited to see the Blade Liger destroyed. Waited to finally defeat Van once and for all. But then something happened. He began to cut through the beam.
It was impossible! He only had one blade! How could he cut through the beam?! How in Zi could he?!
He came closer with every second. He reached to head of the Geno Saurer and jammed the blade into the gun.
The blue light became hotter and hotter. I could feel it, the blue fire. And then, the light turned to darkness.
* ~ And beckons for his return… ~ *
I didn't remember Shadow saving me, but he did. And afterwards, I wandered throughout the deserts of Zi. How long had it been since my battle with that Liger? A year? Two? Four? Ten? I don't know. Time no longer had a meaning to me.
I walked and walked. Never reaching my destination. Where was my Destination? Was my destination an Imperial base? A Republican base? No. I destroyed every base I came across.
Was my destination hell? Was I to wander the endless deserts until I died? No. Shadow wouldn't let me die. He stayed be my side.
A man in a Gustav stopped and asked if I needed a ride. I don't remember saying yes or no, but the next thing I knew, I was sitting inside the Zoid. He offered me water, I drank it greedily. And then I slept.
I dreamed of blue light. No wait, blue fire. It was calling me. Telling me it was time.
When I woke up, it was dark. The man gave me some coffee and said it was hot. I drank it anyway, it wasn't nearly as hot as the fire.
Then a Zoid flew overhead, a Redler. Shadow caused it to crash. The man got scared and said we should leave. I did leave, only I went towards the crashed Zoid.
We, Shadow and I, arrived at a base a few minutes later. I took a Dark Horn and proceeded to destroy it. But before my job was finished, I was interrupted.
A Dibison and a Blade Liger stood before me. Blade Liger…I could feel the fire, hear it calling, telling me it was time. Time? Time for what?
I jumped out of the Dark Horn and looked up at the Liger. Time to die?
The Liger's canopy opened. Time to live?
I stared into the face of the pilot, Van Flyheight. And I realized just what time it was.
"Shadow!" I yelled. He came and took me away from the base.
It was time for…revenge.
A.N. That second part's kinda long. Oh well. Please review.
