Chapter One: Beginning of a New Enemy.
It was a summer night, fairly humid. A slight breeze of cool air would make outside even more comfortable to be in. A lone man staggered against the wall of a building. To any normal person, he would be a bum. But he was much more.
The man made his way to the corner of the building wall and fell to his knees.
"I-I need energy." He said quietly to himself. He began to shake, until he heard a voice. No. Two voices, a Man and a Woman.
"So, I hope you had fun tonight." He said to the woman.
"Oh, it was fun, I love the roller ring." She said holding his arm over hers.
'Them' the Man thought to himself. 'They can refill me' He crawled into a shadowed part of an alley near the building where he had collapsed. He struggled to stand but forced himself up. The two potential victims drew closer. His sense told him that they were human and not mutant.
They cam around the corner and he struck. WHAM! The 'Bum' conjured up the rest of his strength and landed a hard left punch. The man was intently knocked down.
"Aaahh!" The woman cried.
The 'Bum' put his hands onto either side of the man's face and without hesitation, it started.
The 'Bum's' hands began to glow with a greenish yellow aura as he drew every ounce of energy out of the man's body.
"Get off o-of m-m-ahh!" He screamed in pain as he was slowly drained of his very soul. He lay motionless. Dead.
"Better, but not quite enough." The 'Bum' said turning to look at the man girlfriend that had watched in horror as her boyfriend was killed in a blink of an eye.
She was already shaking, and before she could move, she found herself with the same fate as her friend. Her scream echoed through the night.
