Once upon a time, Ginny spent most of her time wishing her freckles away. She would go through her mother's beauty spellbooks in search for charms to turn her hair the shade of gold, to be a real princess just for a little while. Sadly, she never managed to master the spell to charm her freckles away and Ron would tease her, as he tugged on her golden curls, but she knew he understood, because one time she found him all alone in the attic in front of a mirror with a head of messy black locks.

First year at Hogwarts was time in hell for Ginny. She missed spending time with Ron, and was convinced nobody would notice her, "Another Weasley," they all said, and she locked herself away, pouring her soul to a stranger who promised to make her red hair go away. Then she found herself in a world of grey, with a dark haired boy - he took her by the hand and did things to her that made Ron punch a hole through the wall. That summer, back in the world of colour, Ginny had the time of her life turning all the flowers in their garden red as she rolled around in them with Ron, counting the freckles on his sweaty nose under the crimson sun.
