Shadows And Lights

There she goes again.

Sealing away another demon, saving another life.

It's so utterly pointless. The old fool was going to die in a month from a heart attack anyway.

But she saves him anyway. She fights against the evil, just because her precious God told her to.

How foolish. She's so hopeless. She cannot even the see the truth in front of her face, the evil that she let in by the front door.

But she's one of God's precious Chosen, so I guess there's something about her worthwhile.

Now the male, I like him better. There's something about him, a shadow. It's not evil, but there's darkness there none the less.

He has dimension to him. He's in 3-D. That's more than I can say about her. She only exists in one dimension. She only believes in, is touched by the light.

She's the very embodiment of the human's foolish dreams and hopes. She's the tragic heroine come to save the pathetic humans.

I wonder if she can see the truth behind her God?

Her precious God, the one she loves most. Well, at least she believe she loves Him most. One day the male that I like will show her the truth, but for now she's blind to it.

Her God isn't all-powerful. He isn't omnipresent. If he were, then those demons she fights wouldn't have ever existed at all. He wouldn't have had a half-grown girl take on an army of darkness by herself.

She doesn't see any of this, of course.

She just continues fighting the darkness, blaming it for all that's wrong with the world.

Why do they always blame the darkness, the demons, the shadows? Don't they realize that those things wouldn't exist if the light hadn't created them?

Doesn't she realize that shadows only exist where there is light?

Of course not. If she did, then that would defy the laws of the universe. She must always be innocent of the truth. She must always be blind.

She must never realize the fact that the stronger the light grows, the darker the shadows become.

She'll most probably seal me off one day. I am, after all, just another "evil fallen angel". I'll fight her, and lose, and be sealed off, and the world will continue on in it's ignorance.

Humanity, an entire race of rose-colored glasses.

But I can hope. I can hope that one day the shining light known as Jeanne will wake up and see the truth. The fact that not everything is black and white. The fact that those shadows she fights so hard only increase when she does so.

Perhaps I'll tell the male of it. Maybe he already sees. Is that why he tries to stop her? I believe it is.

He'll save her, I think. He'll take off those red-tinted glasses of hers.

And if he can do that, then he's worth more than God makes him out to be.

It's not likely to happen, of course. But if it does...

I think I'd be a lot happier then.
