This is a fanfiction of Andy Herrera - a character from Station 19. This is an AU and Andy's behavior might be a little OOC at some point. This is happening after the finale of season 5 and it won't be mostly based in the station or even Seattle. Andy is 25 years old in this AU, but the rest stays the same. Story itself is mostly focused on Andy and I will probably include Surerra.

All the characters belong to Station 19, except those I created myself and will appear later in the story

Enjoy!

Andy was in that cave again. She could see the light from the cave's entrance and she could see the woman in the cave but it was too dark to see her features, she could only hear her soothing voice as she draw closer. The woman was singing what it appeared to be a lullaby, but it wasn't english. Andy had never heard this language before, yet it seemed familliar as she could almost understand the woman's lullaby, as something deep inside her responded to that words, that melody. Now Andy was standing right next to the woman and she saw the woman carving something into the stone, right below a carved image of the wolf howling, sparks coming out of its mouth. The woman had carved a word into the stone. Volkvoløny - with the last o crossed, so it could also be volkvolny. Wolf's wave. The word echoed in her head and suddenly Andy couldn't breathe anymore. She was drowning in a cold lake and she couldn't get to the surface. Her mind was empty with horror and she sensed this was the end.

Andy woke up in an instant. Her heartbeat was going crazy and her thoughts went wild but she couldn't hold onto any of them long enough to actually understand them. She was soaked with cold sweat and she knew she won't be able to fall asleep again. She looked at her phone. It was four in the morning. She barely got any decent sleep. She got up from the bed with a grunth and went to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of cold water to help her clear her head. She looked around. She still hasn't got used to this apartment. It felt like eternity since she has last been at Sullivan's house. It used to be her house too she thought with a prickle in her heart. She didn't know why she still felt this way for him. She was the one who asked for divorce and who pushed him away for eleven months, but she couldn't help herself but wonder whether things could've been different if she only would listen to him. Maybe had a proper fight with him. No, she said to herself. It wouldn't change anything. You would still be hurt and maybe you would suffer even more. Besides he was the one who should feel guilty, not you. But why didn't she feel this way? Why did everything in her resisted when she had said that to herself over and over again. She was still angry at him but some part of her crumbled in pieces when she heard he started dating Chief Ross. She was still shaken from her nightmare and these thoughts did not do anything good to her heart or mind indeed. She decided to get a shower.

Robert was turning restlessly in his bed. He couldn't sleep. He was lying next to a woman he truly cared about, yet he wasn't able to find a decent amount of peace that would help him to get to sleep. He knew that if he would keep turning in bed like a ten year old who has eaten too much sugar, he will wake up Natasha. He got up silently from the bed and tried to make as little noise as possible as he made his way to the porch. The sun started rising but it was still dark outside and the air was comforting cold. He was enjoying the quiet when the sudden thought came to him. You never needed to get away like this when you were still with Andy. Maybe, but he was over her now. She didn't deserve his mind standing up for her after everything she had put him through. He felt like a traitor thinking about Andy when he had a beautiful new girlfriend who cared about him more than Andy ever could. Is that really what you're telling yourself. You were married remember. The voice inside him sounded almost as if it was laughing at him. He hated that torn feeling in his head. He doubted every single move he made, every word he spoke. All because of her. She hurt him the way he couldn't even imagine, but she was also right. He should have talked to her before trying to get Maya's job. But that didn't excuse her actions. Still he was proud when she took charge as a captian at 23, his heart still broke when she was heartbroken that night she fought off her attacker. He would kill that bastard himself if she wouldn't have done it first. He couldn't forget the way police treated her like a criminal. He expected 19 would have stood up for her more than they did. Especially Maya. She was her best friend. Or was she still? He noticed Maya hadn't been haging much with Andy anymore. It was almost as she and everyone else had forgotten her. But what did he care? It wasn't his job to take care of her. She had made this decison herself, he just needs time to adjust himself to it. He also noticed Andy was acting weird these past few weeks. She was more tired than usual and she seemed kind of lost. It was probably just because all of that mess that was going on with trial had caught up with her. Or was there something more? This voice was really starting to get on his nerves. He sighed in disbelief as he decided to keep an eye on her behavior just in case there was something going on indeed. He went back inside and into the bed. He hugged Natasha who was still asleep. this was the woman he really cared about. She had to be.

Andy looked at her reflection in the mirror. For a split of second she could swear she saw the shadow of a wolf crossing her face. Volkvolny. Wolf's wave. The word sounded russian. But she couldn't speak russian so how did she know what this word means? She had to admit there was a nice ring to it. Something powerful pulling her toward the word. Her thoughts started racing again like a stampede of scared bisons or maybe a troop of wolves hungry for blood. She needed to stop these thoughts that caused her doubt and worry. It's nothing. It's just a metaphor. She hoped so because she was feeling like she might just as well had started losing her mind. At moments like this she felt more alone than ever. She wished things would be still as simple as they were with her father and Ryan alive. God, she missed them. She missed her father's stubborn look and Ryan's kind smile. She quickly got dressed and like a child too old to hold to his favourite blanket for comfort, she picked up one of the boxes with her father's belongings. She sighed deeply and started going through his things as good memories filled her head. It was calming and it became a habit, something to do when the present world would get too diffcult to bear. Now she found a picture of her about five or six years old. It was the oldest picture she had found of her as a child. The picture was lying next to the folder she hadn't noticed before. She picked it up wondering what it could be. As she opened the fold her eyes immediately went to the title of the document. Her body froze. She felt like she forgot to breathe at some moment and she struggled not to faint. Adoption certificate. She was drowning in a cold lake unable to get out.

Ok so this is the first chapter. Andy is having strange nightmares and then she finds an adoption certificate. This will change her life forever. How will she react? You will see.
