Just an idea I had.

Chapter 1

Betty was not a happy bunny today and Sarah could not for the life of her understand why her daughter was mad, and Betty wouldn't tell her either.

"Come on now Sweetie," Sarah said and open the door to the small cottage that her niece had just moved into two months ago.

When the bell over the door that alerted her niece that someone was coming into the house, footstep from the kitchen could be heard and soon a dark red head young woman walked out from the door that led to the kitchen when she saw who it was she smiled big.

"Hello Aunt Sarah," the woman said happily "And hello Betty you look very unhappy today."

"Hello Alex," Sarah said to her niece "Yes this young lady is not a happy little bunny today, and I have no idea why she refuse to tell me."

Sarah looked at her clock she had a few errand to run and it was getting a bit late. Alex saw her Aunt look at the clock.

"I could watch Betty if you need to do something," She said "I have a few things she could help me with."

Sarah sighed in relief and thanked Alex before she kissed Betty on the head and told them that she would be back in a two hours at most before she rushed out the door.

"So Betty," Alex said "Come on let's see if we can find something you can help me with, I have a few ideas."

"Okay," Betty said "but I am not telling you why I am unhappy."

"Okay," her cousin said over her shoulder and walked with the young girl back to the kitchen "Wash your hands really good and then sit down at the table."

Betty did as she was told and washed her hands really well and then sat down at the table while Alex picked out what she needed and placed everything pre measured and a big bowl before the child.

"Okay I want you to mix everything on this table in this bowl and then beat it dough as much as you like," Alex said pointing at the ingredients on the table

Betty nodded and ask how long was she supposed to beat the dough? Alex grinned big and told her until she was no longer mad which made Betty grin back at her cousin.

Betty was soon beating the dough with her hands.

Alex looked on for a few moment to see that the young girl was alright before she went back to baking the cinnamon buns she was making for the next day.

When she was done with that she started to make some muffins that she would take with her home to her uncle and aunt later so that she and her family could have them later that evening as it was Friday and Alex always had dinner with her uncle and his family.

"Alex," called Betty after that she had beaten the dough for nearly half an hour "Is it done now?"

"Are you still mad?" asked the older cousin

Betty stopped for a moment and thought was she still mad a little bit mad was she still so she gave the dough a few more hits and the last of the mad feeling was gone.

"I am done now not mad anymore," she said grinning brightly "Did I do it right?"

Alex walked over and looked at the dough and nodded and told her little cousin that it looked great and the next step was to put the dough on baking sheet and then into the oven for a bit and after that it was just the last and best part the tasting left.

Betty with some help from Alex soon filled the two baking sheet with balls of dough and into the oven they went.

Betty and Alex sat down at the table after that they had clean it from the bits of dough that had escaped the bowl.

"Why were you mad?" Alex asked

Betty looked at her cousin like she was wondering if she could tell her the reason or not.

"Maddie Greenly," she said in the end "She was saying that the only reason I was so good at school was because of the fact that mummy is a head teacher but I am good at school because I am smart daddy told me so, and I told Maddie that too and she said that daddy was a pig because he is a police but Alex my daddy is not a pig right."

Alex had to stop herself from laughing at her young cousin rant.

"No you daddy is not a pig and it is very unkind of Maddie to say that," She told her cousin "And you are smart and that is the reason you are good in school that your mummy is a head teacher at another school have nothing to do with that."

Betty smiled then she remembered that she was supposed to ask her cousin something.

"Alex," she said "my class has this thing every Friday that one of us student get to treat the rest of the class with something, I was wondering if you could bake something for my class because you make so much really tasty things like muffins."

"I suppose I could if I have the time," she said "When is it your turn to bring something?"

"Friday in two weeks," Betty said "Are my biscuit done yet?"

Alex walked over and looked inside the over and said that a few a few more minutes and then they would be done.

And soon the two baking sheet stood on the table waiting to cool down a bit before the two cousin could taste them.

"Alex," Betty said "do you really dig up dead people?"

Alex who had been looking through a stack of paper that was on a small table in the kitchen looked up a bit surprised by the question.

"No not really," she said "I do sometimes look at really old bones and stuff like that as it is sort of part of my job."

Betty nodded and looked at the biscuit hoping that they would soon get to taste them they did look really yummy she thought.

Alex smiled at the intense stare that the little girl was giving the baking sheets.

"Do you want apple juice or milk to your biscuit?" she asked

"Milk," Betty answered not looking up from the biscuit as if they would cool down faster if she stared at them.

Alex pour two glass of milk and placed on before Betty and told her that she could take one biscuit now maybe two the rest would she take home to show her parents.

"Yummy," the little cousin said happily and dunked the biscuit in her glass of milk.

A wet nose touched Alex's elbow she looked down and saw her cocker spaniel Sirius looking up at her with big brown puppy eyes.

"No sorry no doggy biscuit," Alex said smiling and scratched the dog behind his ear. "But you are right Betty, the biscuit is yummy."

Betty was just about to take her third biscuit when Alex decide that it would be wise to put the rest of the biscuits in a tin so that they could take it with them later.

"Betty," she said "What you told me about Maddie, do you want me to talk to you mummy and daddy about it?"

Betty looked down at the table and at first she was about to say no, but in the end she nodded, Maddie had been really mean to her and others in class had started to laugh at the mean joke that the mean girl was saying and maybe her big cousin could help.

It was a happier Betty that meet her mother an hour later.

"Mummy! Mummy!" Betty called "Look what me and Alex did"

She nearly shoved the tin of biscuits in her mother's face.

"That is very nice dear," Sarah said "And I do believe that Daddy will like to try one or two later tonight and me too. Come on let get your jacket and shoes on."

Betty run off to put on her shoes and Jacket.

"I hope she wasn't too much of a handful," Sarah said

"No, not at all she did the biscuit and that help with her mood," Alex said and explain about the biscuits while she too got her Jacket and shoes.

Soon the trio walked out to the car with Alex two dogs walking beside them Cocker spaniel Sirius and the Danish-Swedish Farmdog Remus. Betty was her normal bubbly self talking they ears off.

Later that night after a dinner and some of the biscuits and muffins that Alex and Betty had done, the family was just relaxing, Betty was playing with some toys, Sarah and John was drinking the last of their coffee, Alex was sipping on her second mug of tea, the three dogs was sleeping in a pile on the floor.

Alex had before dinner taken Sarah and John aside and told them about what Betty had told her about bulling little girls, Sarah had promise to talk to the school about it on Monday.

John and Alex discussed a bit of about the local history and who she could talk to about myth and legends.

When the clock rang nine and Sarah took the now yawning Betty up to bed.

"Well we are off," Alex said and with a click of the tongue her two dogs woke and walked over to her "See you tomorrow Uncle John."

John nodded and followed his niece to the door and watch her and the dog walk the half an hour walk back to her Cottage.

A/N:

Well that was the first chapter hope you all like it.

The biscuit that Betty made is called "Aggression cookie" and is called that because you can beat the dough how much you like and really work out what makes you made, and you still get really good cookies in the end and a better mood.

There are recipes on the net if anyone is interested in making them.
